on 6/13/2012 and the agreement length was for 42 months ending in December of 2015. I am showing at that time you had not communicated your desire to cancel to North Star so after that date your account remained active. However, I have gone ahead and approved the cancellation of your account. You are under no further obligation to North Star and your account balance is $0. I got married in July and my husband is in the army and got orders to go to Fort Rucker Alabama to go to flight school, we will be here 2 years and my parents do not the alarm system in their home. I do not know where we will be living after Alabama so my husband and I do not want the alarm system either. North star has not provided any information about cancelling besides the initial 3 day cancellation, my mother read the pink copy they gave me and it also has a " listening in " section that they can listen to us any time they feel like it, that's invasion of privacy. If I knew that I would have never signed for this. The salesman was very aggressive, would not take NO for an answer, never said anything about the service and didn't give us any other paperwork. My mother also read that when the contract is almost up they want a 60 notice and even then secretly sign you up for another 18 mos. On their Facebook account they have 2 different Police Departments warning people not to sign with these people. I do not want to be with them anymore and being in the military and being deployed in different states it isn't logical to have them and we don't want the account on a 2 year hold.

Why didn,t they do this when I tried to talk to them earlier? They got snotty on phone.Irritating me! Ally was a professional, I thank her very much for this adjustement.I wish she would Remove the 5 year contract and make it a 2/3 year contract.. Never sign a 5 year contract period!

you are moving out side of our serviceable area, and send in documentation of your new home then the account would be cancelled immediately. We are currently showing that you do have 12 months remaining on your agreement with NorthStar, however due to you moving and leaving the equipment at the old home we would be happy to cancel your account 60 days after receiving a written notice of cancellation from you. The 60 day notice is what is required based on the agreement that you signed which we have attached. You can email the written notice to us at [email protected] and once that is processed in 60 days the account will be closed so long as there is no outstanding balanced due on the account.
