Company did small tree cutting and mulching projects at neighbors 'homes and I had [redacted] do the same for me He did a good job and reasonable price After about three months we contracted to have power washing & exterior painting of our shutters and home foundation Power washing too long time,two and a half days Got PW and had crew painting on front of house Crew completed about 2/of painting and have not returned Left multiple Meg's and texts Gave me story of family emergency We paid for most work b/c it seemed OK since only half day of work left and it was a Friday afternoon [redacted] committed to return Sat to finish but no no interaction My next door neighbor contracted and partially paid for power wash too but no work has been completed

Never finished job – No commitment to customer care Would I recommend Monroe’s Tree Service to a friend? NO These guys where in the neighborhood Labor Day weekend going door to door soliciting their tree serviceThankfully I missed them on Saturday, however they came back through on Sunday and caught us during a family cook-out We needed tree work so I was interested in hearing their offer, however it quickly turned into high pressure sales with offers to do the work same day I received a verbal quote (trees and some limbs on a third tree along with a promise they would leave the impacted area of the yard cleaner than the rest of the property) We agreed on a price and I told them I would call them back with my decision Ended up going with them and they came out two days laterWhen the work wrapped up I wasn’t home to inspect, so my wife was my proxyShe was told the limbs on the third tree had buds and may be able to come back, so they did not cut them as originally

I first hired Monroes when they drove by mid-way through my weekend tree work I had them take a tree down and perform some large pruning I was happy with the tree techs but they left some very large tree chunks and blew wood chips into my neighbors yard which I spent an hour or so cleaning up Despite this I called them back to perform more work The owner *** met me and I went over previous deficiencies He did not want me to be disappointed and agreed to clean up any existing issues along with the new work I hired him for His chipper was unavailable so he along with his crew loaded up my brush into a truck but ran out of room He planned to come back the next day with his chipper to clean up brush as well as finish our agreed upon scope Over the next few days I went back and forth with *** as well as one of his employees by phone and text They did not show up when they agreed to They then promised with 100% assurance to return on a Friday to complete the work Th

I am the wife of *** *** and here is the scenario we encountered:
When the business owner did not return to clear the stumps, we contacted another vendor to do the work. Once we contacted another vendor, the business owner came to our home and said he would take the stumps out and would return in minutes. The owner never returned. My husband did receive a phone call from the business giving him all sorts of reasons (illness in family, the stump grinder was in disrepair and the guy who does this job doesn't particularly like grinding stumps) etcetc. At that point, my husband said that we had been stood up twice and to forget coming by. So, the business owner did show up in person, promised on the day he showed up to take the stumps out, never returned. The business owner's secretary did call us giving us excuses as to why the work was not done. We got the stumps removed from another company at the additional cost of $*** ***

*** was paid to complete a job and never finished the jobHe was hired in January and said the job would be done before my husband left for deploymentHe never came backHe asked if he could finish the job after the blizzardI agreed, and now he will not respond to or return messages and phone callsI would like the job completed or the money refundedI e gotten quotes from other companies and it will cost approx ***$ to grind the stumps that he has yet to doSo I would like the money back if he is not going to complete the job

On Wednesday, June 15, Monroe Exterior Services was trimming a neighbor's trees My wife had MrMonroe come over and trim a few limbs He informed my wife that the tree had termites, so my wife agreed for $to have the tree cut down There was an additional tree next to the original and MrMonroe said for an additional $($total) he would cut down both trees and remove the stumps
After removing the trees, MrMonroe said he needed to go get his stump grinder and would be back He returned later in the evening stating that the grinder needed to be sharpened and he would return in the Morning (Thursday 6/16) to complete the job After two calls from me and two from my wife, MrMonroe never returned to complete the job
Interestingly enough, MrMonroe looked at some trees behind our house and said for $he would trim those trees My wife said no, I don't think we need that now but will think about it At the same time he came back to our house to inform m
