I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me. I have not received the refund yet but they did send a cancellation form that I am to sign and return in order to...

receive the refund in two to three weeks.  If the refund is not received in that time frame, I will contact the Revdex.com once again.  Thank you!

From the beginning Mr. [redacted] project has been a challenge for both Midwest and the customer.  Some issue are: We have sent multiple crews to his house to complete the work and because Mr. [redacted] constantly harassed them while they were there, they have refused to go back.  Mr....

[redacted] came into our office and physically threatened one of our associate to the point where she wanted to call the police.  That being said we still want to resolve this matter with the [redacted].  The work completed and the material purchased has exceeded the amount he has paid us.  We realize that he has a uncompleted kitchen with the holidays approaching.  Midwest truly wants to bring closer to this issue and are whiling to do anything reasonable.  We have tried to contact Mr. [redacted] 11 times in the last 2 weeks and he refuses contact us.  We have already stated that we are willing to do arbitration and are looking for some way to make this right with the customer.

Midwest Construction provided detailed blue prints, multiple structural engineer inspections and reports, eight visits to the city supplying information about permits and the architect at a total cost of $6,500.  After all this work was completed the customer used the information that we had...

done and hired a different contractor.  Even though we had spent more money then the customer had given us, we agree to negotiate a refund settlement.  But the customer choose to violate the terms of the settlement.

None of their response is true. No information they gave me was used. Their was no new contracter used. I gave them 6 months to do the job. My contract stated the job would have been completed In ten weeks. I signed the contract 1-21-16..after lying to me me for 6 month the contracter Jason said they were not going to do the work. They sent me s form I signed releasing them from the contract and my 5 thousand would be returned in 2 to 3 weeks. No refund has been received its been 7 week. This company has not honored their contract or the return of my funds.

This customer is using the Revdex.com to blackmail Midwest Construction into doing work free and Midwest has had to file a lawsuit against the customer to recover the money owed. The problems with this project are as follows: the customer purchased a foreclosed home that was pretty much trashed on the...

inside and contracted Midwest Construction to finish the entire inside to livable standards. The floors were crooked the walls were uneven and the stairs were not functional. The customer expected the home to be like new when it was never going to be possible as we explained to them from the beginning. We repaired and replaced everything contracted for multiple times to try and make them happy but their expectations were so unreasonable that our relationship suffered, in addition, the customers continued to make changes to what they wanted us to do that delayed the project for weeks at a time. The quality of our work was as good as it could be with the condition of the home but they were never satisfied. Our work was approved at every inspection by the city of Columbus and we had an independent home inspection and passed with flying colors. The customer blamed us for damaging the floor joist but we have pictures that it was damaged before we started, at one meeting the customer threatened to physically attack one of our people in front of multiple witnesses because we wouldn't admit our inspected and approved work was wrong and redo it just because they wanted to change what they had already approved. In summary, the customer could not be satisfied under any circumstances, they had no understanding of how a project of this scope would be completed and what could be done, we have documentation that shows everything we did was correct and up to code. In addition to the lawsuit we are asking the Revdex.com to try and mediate some solution that is acceptable.

Mr. [redacted]
Like all companies Midwest requires a written cancellation notice from customer.  Mr. [redacted] refuses to do so.  None the less  We are processing his refund and he should be receiving it shortly.

Midwest Construction Services completed a room addition for Mr. and Mrs. [redacted].   They call saying the roof leaks on the new addition.  We had a service technician go to there home and determined their existing roof was the cause of their leaking.  They disagreed, so we hired...

a independent home inspector to evaluate the situation.  The home inspector determined that our roof was done properly as was not the cause of the leak.  The customer then implied he would of replace the existing roof if he knew that there was a problem.  Midwest Construction Services informed the [redacted]s that their existing roof needed to be replaced.  we notice that the roof had 4 layers of shingles which violated the roofing codes and should be replaced before we started our project.  The [redacted]s said at that time they could not afford to do the roof and the room addition is what they wanted.  Midwest Construction even afford special financing to do the roof, but the [redacted]s choose not to.  Our Representative Kevin G[redacted] gave them a quote to replace the roof before we started the room addition.  During the project our production manager Loyd H[redacted] continued to informed the customer during the project that the existing roof had failed.  We are attaching the home inspector report, we have a copy of the roof estimate before the project was started for a new roof, and we have a signed statement from our production manager saying he informed the customer multiple times about the roofing problems.  This complaint is not valid about our work per the inspection report.   In conclusion any problems they have has nothing to due with the project that we completed.  We will try to help the customer in any way we can.  We take pride in our customer service.

OH 43215Response to your 9/3/16 Email and our complaint ID 11675844 against MidwestConstruction Services, LLCMy husband and I are grateful for your effort to help us with our complaint against thisconstruction service company, especially in face of our not being able to even receive anyresponse for over a month from any of the company's representatives.Midwest Construction Services owner and principal, Mr. John H[redacted]'s response to you:"Customer has canceled and uncanceled several times. Credit card refund has been processed."Appears to be encouraging; however, the phrase is vague, and no refund has been made to [redacted] department as of this morning. Enclosed are some daily [redacted] card statements. I alsochecked with [redacted] by telephone this morning.Enclosed is a detailed listing of all communications/actions between initial April 26 contact with[redacted]r website through August 17, when I left a voicernail for the owner/principal ofMidwest Construction Services. Also enclosed are copies of the remodeling contract, [redacted]statements showing the deposit charge, payment-in-full from us to [redacted] for the deposit amount(including our monthly balance owed), email correspondence from us to Midwest ConstructionServices. etc. Those documents may help you in your further contact with the company. My husband and I have had experience working with bathroom/kitchen remodelers and a new-homebuilder during the last 38 years, but we have not encountered a group of constructioncompany persons who ignored our two specific requests so thoroughly and consistently as thesepersons have done.We did rely on Revdex.com's initial positive rating of this company, but we have learned to be evenmore thorough in pre-contract-signing research for any future remodeling project(s). Hopefully,we can still find a reputable remodeling company to remodel our present bathroom (10 years old)successfully for in-home care for my husband who will be 90 years old in January. Please let us know if you need additional documentation or information. Thank you for beingwilling to help negotiate on our behalf with Midwest Construction Services.[redacted]       [redacted]PS As of this morning, 9/8/16 [redacted] has not received any credit refund for our [redacted] account. The company has apparently not processed the refund. The [redacted] "Dispute Dept" knows as of 9/7/16 that I am working with you & that you are trying to help me.
