I recently had a new shower installed by Tim from Mad City roofing. He was very diligent & professional with his work & work ethics. He took time to answer any questions I had & explained them in a way that I understood. The job was done efficiently & in time. The completed job was done with excellence & looks really nice. He took extra time to clean up after himself & before leaving asked if there were any other questions I had, or if there was anything else he could do for me. I would highly recommend using Mad City roofing for any other work I might need done in the future. Great company.

Review: had this salesman named [redacted] come and do an estimate on our patio door and bathroom window was really pressured to purchase and he reassured me that when he checked financing that it would be a soft pull on my credit report and would not affect my score there were two other witnesses that heard him say this and he said it 4 times my husband was one witness and my neighbor next door they both heard him say it would not affect my score and it was a soft pull needless to say I was not approved thats fine but the next day my credit report showed a hard inquiry this affected my score by 25 points also he did not give back any papers I signed or even give us the dinner cards for $50 for coming and doing an estimate he storms out after finding out we were not approved for financing and telling us we will get the cards in the mail on 3/20/16 I called the company about the papers he kept worried that I might get scammed and the person that answered the phone tells me that my papers were shredded? and I asked about my dinner cards and she tells me that the lady that gives them is gone till tues ( the next day ) and would be sent out . well its 3/24/16 and no cards for dinner I called today 3/24/16 and the person that answered I explained about my credit report and she gives me a line about how I was not approved and I tell her thats not it and she gives me the same lady in finance dept thats suppose to give cards I am getting the run around the lady never picks up (ALWAYS GONE TILL NEXT WEEK MONDAY) My husband called 3/24/16 and asked about the cards and the lady says oh , he didnt give you them then? well you will have to call finance dept again you see the trend??Desired Settlement: my dinner cards I was suppose to get and .. MY CREDIT REPORT CORRECTED not showing a hard pull please

To Whom It May Concern,In regard to the gift card with in-home estimate our salespersons do not carry gift cards on them for obvious security reasons. These are sent out in bulk every 2-3 weeks. The estimate in question was just last week and thus hasn't been sent out yet. However we will expedite this for the customer today in response to this. Our website does state as a disclaimer: [redacted]With in-home estimate and product demonstration to homeowner(s). Limit one per household. Other restrictions apply. Gift card voucher given upon completion of demonstration to be mailed in by homeowner(s). Salespersons do not carry gift cards for security reasons. Allow 2-3 weeks after demonstration to receive gift card. Dinner Gift Card valued at $25.Secondly in regard to the credit inquiries we do have signed copies of credit applications allowing the credit to be pulled from the customer. We have no control over removing credit inquires or handling any of that. The customer would have to contact the lender in regard to this. This is something that the customer would have to speak with the lender about doing if this is even possible. We have never heard of a customer stating this before from a representative from thousands of customers that utilize the various financing options. Review: We ordered 4 windows from Mad City Windows and 3 weeks later I got 2 of the 4 that I ordered. They said that they would be back in a week with the other 2 windows. Now 3 weeks later I still haven'the heard anything from them. I had to put down $750 and supposed to start my monthly payments but still don't have the windows.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the other 2 windows installed and some off the price since it's taking them over 7 weeks when I was told 4 only

As of currently the window project for this customer has been completed. The customer has verified over the phone that they are satisfied. We have also been trying to contact the customer to discuss the complaint filed here and to make sure there has been an official resolution to it. We have currently left a voice mail on 6-8-15 and two voice mails on two different numbers today 6-10-15. We are currently waiting for a response from the customer.

We just had siding put on our house. I now have a new house! It's beautiful and the guys did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering vinyl siding. We also had them do windows a couple times and they are beautiful. Will be having more windows done in the future.

The team showed up on time and was very professional. The team talked us through the process and completed the job quickly. They cleaned up the site and took the old windows. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was very pleased with the quality of the windows. Although somewhat expensive the lifetime warranty can't be beat.

Another great job by Mad City Windows! A few years ago they replaced our windows in our patio room. This time we chose them to replace our family room windows. I feel they have the best replacement windows on the market. I waited till after the Fall to write this review. Our family room windows were very drafty before. We had no problems with our them so far this Winter. I can't wait to see how they hold up to the heat in the Summer. I wish we'd have done this years ago.Thank you Mad City for another job well done.

Review: We got a whole house full of new windows. When salesman came to our house he explained that his windows are the best and we would save money on our energy bill. In fact he guaranteed it with a refund of the difference from the previous year . I submitted paper work and nothing was refunded. Salesman also explained that his windows will not get condensation on inside of the windows. Not true these are worse than our old ones. That was the main reason we wanted them replaced it is growing mold all around the windows caulk and windows are terrible. He also brought a heat lamp with a tester to compare his sample window to our current windows but for some reason after I got my windows installed the company refuses to bring back that heat lamp and there tester. ( I think because they know the sample window they showed us is not the same quality window they installed.) also was offered a restaurant gift certificate with any in home estimate and still have never received that. Plus the salesman basically refused to leave until he filled us with all his lies and convinced us to sign on the dotted line. Very disappointed in the overpriced product.Desired Settlement: I would believe that a total refund of our money or replacement of the correct windows they sold us be installed at no cost to us.

Review: [redacted], my domestic partner and myself contacted Mad City about getting a quote for windows in our new home that we just purchased this past March 29th, 2013. We set-up an appointment for July 26th for one of their reps to come and give us a presentation and a quote. The sales rep came out, did his thing and we decided to go with their company. Appointment was made under [redacted]'s name and I was under the spouse section.

We filled out the contract and paperwork for a 0% financing through Wells Fargo and put down a deposit of $100, check # 6990 though Associate Bank was told if that we were not approved through them that they would have to return and we would need to paperwork through GE Capital, I believe and that we should know an answer first thing Monday morning and the salesman [redacted] left around 9pm.

Monday afternoon came and we still received no answer and was finally able to get a hold of the sales rep and he informed us their computer system had been down all day and that we should know soon. Meanwhile, [redacted] was talking with Mad City from the home line and was told that sales had been so incredible over the weekend they were scrambling to get everyone's information into the system and get back to their customers about their new windows. Needless to say we never heard an answer on Monday.

Tuesday came and went and we contacted them late afternoon and was told our application was still processing and that it was "Pending" and that was a good thing and that they would get back to us, I also tried to get ahold of the sales rep, but no response. So, [redacted] and I talked and decided to cancel the contract. We called them back and told them we were going to cancel and send us back our deposit check and sent them out a certified letter as well with our signatures on the documents that we needed to return to them prior to the cancellation time. That tracking # is [redacted].

The next day we did receive a call from them stating that we would not be able to get the financing, nor would we be able to be approved for any credit. I also received a text from the salesman stating that it was our fault that we not be getting the windows due to credit issues. Granted we just bought the house a couple of months ago. But our credit is not horrible, since we just bought the house. But, that is not the point.

We gave them the rest of that week and all this past week to mail us back out check and they have not. We have also called numerous times and either had to leave a message in their overflow voice mailbox system or had to speak with a person that stated they would have to send a message to them and that they would call us back. Well, they have failed to call us back as well.

At this time I am requesting that my $ 100 deposit be returned to me and that they can also include the $ 50 gift card that [redacted] had won for coming within $ 500 of their estimate the night we had our demo. The offer at the time was a $ 25 gift card for getting the free quote, but since [redacted] guess was only $ 200 of the quote given that they would buy us dinner and that he would jump the card up too $50.Desired Settlement: My deposit to be returned and gift card that is owed to be sent to us.

Just following up on your message that you sent letting me know that Mad City has yet to respond to you. I wasn’t sure where to reply to you on the website, so I am sending you this message.

You ask if I have heard anything from Mad City. I haven’t heard a word. No returned check, no gift card.

Am I satisfied? No, I am not. I may never see the gift card. But really want the check back and really do not want to have to put a stop payment on something they have no right to keep.

If not please explain. Like I said above, I haven’t heard one word from them and definitely will never give them any business in the future.

With regards to this complaint the only correspondence that we received prior to the customer filing this complaint was on late afternoon Friday, August 9th. We document all customer calls via our answering service. Had the customer given us a chance to respond we would have done so that following business day Monday, August 12th. That particular day our Accountant who handles all deposits and gift card transactions had left for the day. We were in no way ignoring this or not responding to it but rather this was a knee jerk reaction without giving us adequete time to respond. We mail out gift cards in bulk form every 2-3 weeks which is why there is sometimes a gap of time between the presentation that is given and recipet of the gift card. This is clearly displayed on the terms and conditions on our website promotion page. When a customer is a credit decline we do not actually deposit the check that they give us so generally there is not a need to return the check that is not and will not be deposited. We do do this if the customer requests this however.

Since the filing of this complaint we have in fact mailed back the customer's deposit check and their gift card.

Mad City responded that they returned my check and issued a gift card. As of 09-06-2013, I have received neither. I gave them ample time to reply to my calls before contacting the Revdex.com and received a total run around from this company.

All I want is my check returned and the gift card that was promised. During this whole process it has been one excuse after another from this company and now they say they returned my check and issued a gift card and that is not true. Trust me I do not want to deal with the company any longer that I need too!!!!!!

The men that installed our bathroom were very professional. The job took them longer than normal as they had to replace part of the floor and the back wall in our shower. We enjoy using it very much. They did a wonderful job. We will recommend Mad City Bath to other customers as we are really satisfied with the work they did.

I have had great customer service after the sale to make sure I was happy.

Saturday, August 3rd, 2013. I was at work. My daughter home alone. They came uninvited to my door, pounding on the door because there was one vehicle in our driveway. They scared my daughter. I went to MadCity windows website to inquire if they were in our town giving estimates. I didn't give my name, address, or phone number. Just the name of the city. Since I didn't get an answer I clicked out of their Website "chat with a customer rep". Within two minutes of clicking out of that site, I get a call from Mad City Windows trying to schedule an appointment because of my "Interest" in the company. How did they do that? All the knew was I have a female voice and the town I live in. The person on the other end could not have cared less that I was concerned about my daughter being scared, them coming over pounding on my door uninvited. I live in a "No Solicitation" neighbor hood. She was rude, tried to intimidate me, and even told me to basically "shut up" so she can set up an appointment. I don't want an appointment. I wanted to know how they got my private information, like my name, address, and phone number that fast without me telling them who I was. I wanted to know why they came by my house and how they got all my information. Never got an answer.

I had a great experience getting a window replaced with Mad City. They were on time for my quote, taking the measurements, and the install. Everybody I worked with was very friendly and professional. When they came out for my quote, they explained their products very well. The financing options are excellent, and the quality of the products is excellent. I will definitely be going back through them when I redo the rest of the windows in my home.

The original piece the sales rep quoted me was more than double the price of 3 other contractors. I was badgered into signing when the sales rep "called his manager" and got the price down only a few thousand dollars, but I had to leave a sign on my lawn. I researched their windows & company more overnight & decided to sign the cancellation which I had 3 days to do without obligation or penalty. The next day, instead of mailing it to the address listed on the cancellation, I drove there to hand deliver it. Good thing I did, because the office was actually next door, so who knows if they ever would have recieved it. I tried to leave the cancellation with the receptionist, but she "called a manager" who then talked to me & told me that I can't leave my cancellation there, that they will send out another "manager" to my house the next day to pick it up. I didn't believe her, considering all the hoops so far, but someone did show up the next day. Of course it was another sales pitch, but I was able to get him out the door in 10 minutes, which was better than the first guy who kept staying by offering to lower the prices for a whole hour after the presentation was done...RED FLAG if they keep dropping the prices by thousands...why mark it up that much to begin with?!? Also, you can't call that place and talk to anyone knowledgable, there's no e-mail address to contact them...& buyer beware the company will only standby their warranty as long as they offer a particular window...so a "lifetime warranty" means nothing if they are switching window companies every year! Always ask how long they've been offering a window!

They came to do my windows and a few hours after they were done I noticed a bunch of my personal tools were missing. Those tools were there that morning. And they were the only ones that were by my house that day. So one of the workers STOLE my tools. And I am not getting any assistance to get my stuff back from that company. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

We were so satisfied with the job the guys did. Would recommend Mad City to everyone. Made sure all things were cleaned up before leaving. Bathroom looks great.

I called the Mad City Baths which is a part of the services of Mad City Roofing. When I tried to make an appointment to refinish the cerface of the bath tub, I was told that my husband should be presented as well instead of by myself. I told them that I was left to make a decision on this project by my husband. I asked the reason and I was told this is the rule Revdex.com asked them to do so. I am wondering if this is true. Is there any rule like this?

I was walking into the WalMart off the Beltline in Madison and a woman with a Mad City shirt asked me if I would answer a few questions with a chance to win a $100.00 Wal Mart gift card. I agreed and answered her questions. She gave me a scratch off card and it said I won a $100.00 Wal Mart gift card. The card did not say it was contingent upon purchase or anything; just that I won that prize.
The woman called a number and then said that I had to agree to an in home estimate to receive the gift card. She said that the salesperson giving the estimate would bring the card with him or it would be mailed to me.
The salesman came to our home at 7:00 pm and did not leave until 10:30 pm. He did a good job explaining the window product and gave us a quote of $20,000 to replace the windows in our home. However, if we did not sign on the dotted line that night the price would be $25,000.
Needless to say, my husband and I do not appreciate that type of high pressure sales and did not sign on the dotted line. Next day I checked the Revdex.com on this company and I'm very happy we did not do business with them.
I never received the $100.00 Wal Mart gift card and I went back to Wal Mart to complain to the manager about what happened and the false advertising on the part of Mad City windows.

Salesman was friendly, got us to purchase windows stating how great they were, they dont leak, wont have condensation, will lower electric bill...Then the windows got here, they measured too small, had to build all our windows in. Within 1st week we had air whistling through, someone came and put on new seals. We are now about a month in, and we still have ice forming around where the condensation was, INSIDE my house we have ICE forming. To me, that isn't worth the almost $20,000 we spent on windows. Should have just kept the old ones we had, at least we never had ice with those. They have communication issues throughout the company, and empty promises. Would not recommend to anyone I know.
