[redacted] Re: Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted] Macy’s account ending in [redacted] Dear [redacted]: We are in receipt of your complaint filed...
with the Revdex.com and forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office, where as a liaison, I was asked to review and respond to your inquiry on behalf of Department Stores National Bank. Please accept my apology for any inconvenience or frustration you may have experienced regarding your account. My review of your account shows that on January 17, 2016, in the Bangor Macy’s, you made a purchase of $17.82, for women’s pants. A few minutes later, you made a payment of $23.58. However, $23.58 was the payment required by January 20, 2016, for a purchase you made on December 22, 2015. Therefore, your billing statement for the period ending January 24, 2016, showed your payment in full for the previous balance, and had a new balance of $17.82, for your January 17, 2016, purchase. No payments were received for that purchase in subsequent months. Therefore, late fees and interest charges were added to the account. During a telephone conversation with a collections associate on May 24, 2016, we removed a late fee of $37.00 and interest charges of $2.46, and you made a payment of $112.70. These adjustments left your account with a credit of $0.07. As a gesture of our goodwill and in the interest of customer service, I removed a second late fee of $37.00 and processed a refund to you of $37.07, which you will receive in the form of a check in 7-10 business days. I am unable to remove the late payment history from your credit report as the delinquency is not the result of a billing error. Your account was closed on May 24, 2016, and has a zero ($0.00) balance. [redacted], we appreciate this opportunity to respond. If you need assistance on another matter, feel free to call me at the telephone number noted below. Sincerely, Michael J.Macy’s Executive Office###-###-#### Extension [redacted] cc: [redacted], Revdex.com

I was asked to review and respond to your most recent inquiry on behalf of Department Stores National Bank. I am sorry that our previous response did not correctly address your concerns. After further research, I found that you had one joint Macy’s [redacted] account ending in [redacted]. I apologize this account was not found initially. This account was opened March 22, 2011, and closed on February 10, 2016. Our records do not show the account was ever enrolled in Thanks for Sharing. Account notes do show that the Macy’s store account ending in [redacted] was enrolled in the program and a gift card was mailed on January 7, 2015, in the amount of $24.43. Our records show that this was received and redeemed. Respectfully, I am unable to refund the Thanks for Sharing Enrollment fee for account ending in [redacted] as the fee is non-refundable and the gift card was issued and redeemed.Additionally, you currently have one Macy’s [redacted] account open, ending in [redacted]. This account currently has a zero ($0.00) balance and was originally opened in September of 2013. Your Macy’s [redacted] account ending in [redacted] is closed and has an unpaid balance due of $2.73.I am sorry there was confusion regarding the Macy’s [redacted] account ending in [redacted] that you requested be reopened in April 2016. I apologize if this is not the account you intended to reopen. You can reapply online or in store; however, please let the associate know that you are requesting a Macy’s store card only. All other accounts referenced above have been closed and no additional inquiries have been submitted to the credit bureaus.[redacted], thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention and giving me the opportunity to respond. Your business is important to us, as well as appreciated. Please do not hesitate to call me at the telephone number listed below if I may be of further assistance. Dear
[redacted]:
On
behalf of Macy's Executive Office I was asked to review this issue, case...
#
[redacted]. After thorough examination we have determined the circumstances
surrounding [redacted] situation and have reached an appropriate resolution.
Mr.
Zhang purchased a piece of luggage and was promised an accommodation adjustment
of $27.62. That credit, unfortunately, was not processed in a timely manner.
The credit as promised has now been processed effective September 18, 2015. In
speaking with [redacted] he requested a wholly unreasonable additional amount as
further accommodation for the delay. On behalf of Macy's I rejected this offer.
We did however, offer an equitable amount and he declined. Based on the above
circumstances we consider this matter
closed.
Sincerely,
Melissa U.

[redacted]Re: Revdex.com Complaint [redacted] Macy’s [redacted] account ending in [redacted]Dear [redacted]: I am in receipt of your complaint forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office by the Better...
Business Bureau. As a representative of this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank. Per the Department Stores National Bank Credit Card Agreement, if you have been paying less than the New Balance on your Revolving account balance each month and you then decide to pay your balance in full, you will be charged interest charges on that balance from the first day of the billing cycle until the date that your payment is received. The minimum interest charge is $2.00. This interest charge is for the money loaned to you during that period, and will appear on the next month's billing statement. Upon review, I show your account was closed on December 4, 2015, per your request. A $2.00 interest charge was placed on your account for the funds loaned to you during the billing period ending December 25, 2015. However, the agent you had spoken to on January 2, 2016, removed the $2.00 interest charge from December, resulting in a zero ($0.00) balance. We also show that no derogatory information was sent to the credit reporting agencies regarding your Macy’s [redacted] account.[redacted], please accept my personal apology for the problems you have encountered trying to resolve this issue and thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Should you wish to reconsider the use of your Macy's account in the future, please do not hesitate to call me at the telephone number listed below. account ending in [redacted] Dear [redacted]: I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com, which was forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office. As a representative in this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank. Please accept my sincere apology for any inconvenience and frustration you experienced regarding this matter including the representative who disconnected the online chat without first confirming with you. When an account is reported lost, we will issue a replacement card to the address listed on the account. Our records indicate that we reported the Macy’s [redacted] account and Macy’s store account lost several times in the past with the most recent activity with a Macy’s store account in 2017. The Macy’s [redacted] account ending in [redacted] was opened on June 5, 2009, and closed on February 8, 2013, by the customer. On September 27, 2017, we reported the Macy’s store account ending in [redacted] lost and the system generated a new account ending in [redacted] and a replacement card was not issued. On November 20, 2017, the Macy’s store account ending in [redacted] was reported lost and a new account ending in [redacted] was issued. A replacement card was requested. On December 27, 2017, the address was updated. On this same date, the account ending in [redacted] was reported lost and a new account ending in [redacted] was issued, but no card was sent. This account ending in [redacted] has a $25.00 credit balance for the courtesy adjustment from November 20, 2017. On January 14, 2018, you called stating that you had not received the Macy’s store card. On the following date, we reported the Macy’s account ending in [redacted] lost, and changed the address again which matches the one listed above. I requested that a card be sent to you for the newly issued Macy’s account ending in [redacted]. I also requested a refund check for the $25.00 credit balance, which you will receive within 7-10 business days. Please note that we do not send out billing statements when an account has a zero ($0.00) balance. The representatives who initially reported your card lost on September 27, 2017 should have ensured that a replacement card was issued and confirmed the address. Since then, we changed your address on two separate occasions. Be assured that I have shared your complaint and my response with the appropriate management. I understand you are requesting some type of compensation; however, Macy's does not provide compensation due to a situation such as this. With respect to the pair of shoes that you referenced you returned to the Macy’s Pembroke Lakes store, please provide me a copy of the receipt, and I will be happy to further research this matter. Thank you for the time you took to bring your concerns to our attention and for giving me the opportunity to respond. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
I did receive a phone call once from Michele. I called her back at the number provided on my voicemail. There was no answer and a message system prompted me to leave a message. I did leave a message providing my contact information and that she had called and I was returning the call. That was 6/27/16 and I still have yet to receive a phone call back. Even if she did not receive my call back there should have been a follow up call to resolve the issue. At this point I want no part of Macy's. Their dedication to customers is severely lacking and sucks. I have had a credit card with them for 6 or so years and I will be closing it. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service and this whole experience.

June 30, 2017 [redacted] [redacted] Re: Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted] Macy's store account ending in [redacted] Bloomingdale’s store account...
ending in [redacted] Dear [redacted]: I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com and forwarded to Macy's Executive Office. As a liaison in this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank (DSNB). Our records indicate that both of the above mentioned accounts were opened as individual accounts on February 4, 2008. [redacted] and [redacted] are listed as authorized buyers on the Macy’s account. Per the terms of the DSNB Credit Card Agreement (“Agreement”), as the primary account holder, you are financially responsible for all amounts owed regardless of who made the purchases. The initial application process requires that you present a photo ID, your Social Security Number, a qualifying credit card and income information in order to be considered for a credit account. During the application process you are required to verify and confirm that the information you provided, including your Date of Birth, is correct. As of the date of this letter, the information below is currently reporting for the accounts. Macy’s account ending in [redacted] Bloomingdale’s account ending in [redacted] Open Date February 4, 2008 Open Date: February 4, 2008 Last Purchase Date July 29, 2011 Last Purchase Date August 29, 2011 Last Payment Date February 28, 2012 Last Payment Date November 15, 2011 Date of First Delinquency September 28, 2011 Date of First Delinquency October 15, 2011 Closed Date November 28, 2011 Closed Date January 15, 2012 Charge–off Date March 28, 2012 Charge-off Date April 15, 2012 Balance $2,881.14 Balance $1,230.29 Enclosed are copies of the available monthly billing statements for the Macy’s account for the periods ending March 28, 2011, through March 28, 2012; and, for the Bloomingdale’s account for the periods ending March 15, 2011, through March 15, 2012, as reference. These monthly billing statements were mailed to the billing address on file and we have no record of returned mail for your accounts, which suggests that they were delivered. By using the accounts, you consented to be bound to the terms of the Agreement, which includes a promise to pay for all purchases, as well as the late fees and interest charges. We are satisfied that all fees were properly assessed, and no adjustments will be made. Both accounts were closed by the creditor, DSNB, as noted above, because payments were not received as required by the terms of the Agreement. Due to serious delinquency, the accounts charged off on the dates noted above and we reported both accounts as unpaid, charged off accounts to the credit reporting agencies. A charged-off account reports for a maximum of seven (7) years from the date of first delinquency that led to charge off which in your case is March 28, 2012, for the Macy’s account and April 15, 2012 for the Bloomingdale’s account. Under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), it is the credit reporting agency that is responsible to remove information from the credit report, not the credit grantor. Our records indicate that you recently called both Macy’s and Bloomingdales stating that the accounts were opened without your knowledge or consent and we sent you Statements of Fraud to complete and return for each account. Please note that until we receive proof of your Date of Birth, we are unable to remove the accounts from your credit report. As a credit provider, we are obligated to report the account accurately to the credit reporting agencies, whether it is favorable or unfavorable to the customer. My research confirmed that the information we are reporting is accurate. However, on February 4, 2013, we instructed the credit reporting agencies to update their records and report the Bloomingdale’s account as “customer disputes reporting”. In addition, on February 5, 2013, we instructed the credit reporting agencies to update their records and report the Macy’s account as “customer disputes reporting”. [redacted], thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and giving me the opportunity to respond. Should you have additional questions, please call me at the number listed below.
