I had repair of my gutters on 8/30/18, which included repair of wood soffit on the back of my home. The work crew could not do thatvrepair, it required a carpenter, and no jas yet completed the job. My calls and tects go unanswered.
Customer is collecting quotes for the work needed. Customer will get back to us when she is ready. If she need anything further she can reach us at the Service Department
My complaint was finally resolved, and Leaffilter completed by job in December of 2018. The job was started in August of 2018. It took a lot of complaint to convince them to complete the job as outlined in the contract, and eventually, I believe, it was a negative YELP review that made them act, after multiple phone calls, and complaints to their customerservice line. I would not recommend this company to others, at least not the group that covers the central Ohio area. (Leaffilter Worthington, Ohio office).
I purchased new gutters to be installed on four residential buildings, befor installation all rotted fascia board was to be removed and replaced with new. This did occur in two places, however a third place presented an issue showing rot and decay, this was covered with gutter and presented as done. Within a few weeks I had almost 30 feet of gutter fall off of my building because of rotten fascia. I called to try and resolve issue, the installation crew did come back but all they did was take the gutter that had fallen, so I called leaf filter again and was told that I would receive a call back in 24 hours. I have never recieved a call back, I have called back several times and have never been able to resolve this issue. Leaf filter did send an inspector to look at the area and he did agree the the fascia was rotted out, then I was told that I needed to fix it and let them know when it was done. This is not what is in the contract I paid them $4728.00 to install new fascia where needed and install new gutter. Now I am missing a piece of gutter almost 30 ft long and the fascia is still rotted. I would like to resolve this issue asap.I would like leaf filter to replace the rotten fascia and reinstall the affected gutter.
We are scheduled to go to the customers home today 11/5/19.
Consumer responded to Revdex.com automated call indicating complaint was resolved.
Leaf Filter installed new gutters and caps on my home. The first rain my awning was leaking as if an open faucet was running. The patio flooded. During installation I heard metal snap/pop. I witnessed the installer move from standing on the awning to standing on the roof. That was Friday, On Sunday we had rain .
My awning has been pulled away from the facia and apparently damage to the metal awning . I have contacted the company several times.
We spoke to the customer. Leaffilter is not liable for the damages. Please close this complaint.
Leaf Filter sent an email the day they received notice of this complaint. It stated I would hear from someone within the hour.Well, I am still waiting, and my patio cover is still leaking severlyI continue to take pics each rain day. Please advise the status of my complaintWinter is closing in and a bad freeze will cause even more damage to my roof and faciaThank You
If the customer decides to replace his awning that we are not at fault for, we offered to remove and rehang the portion of leaffilter that runs along side of the awning. As far as contributing to the cost of the awning replacement we are denying that request. The leaking is due to the significant pre-existing fascia rot.
I am rejecting this response because:

Removal of the awning is going to reveal that the facia was split when the technician stood on it. Weather is delaying the awning.
Had a gutter install 5-4-2019. Kent Jn "Regional Senior Consultant" gave me an estimate for $3801.00 witch included an extra down spout costing $150. Before the install I talked to a contractor and told me I did need this downspout. I called Kent J at least 20 times and he fails to return my call. Request I receive the $150 for the downspout that was not installed. On 6/28/2019 I called customer service and they told me I would receive a call. To this date I have not been called back. What can I do to receive my overpayment. Guner L was the installer and he will witness this service problem.
Also I have not received my warranty papers for the install
Thank you for your review. I will have local office reach out for your concerns.
Description:
The contract states that in addition to installing gutter guards, the gutters would be realigned, "if
necessary." I explained they overflow in the middle. They refused to realign. I called the company and
the gutters were inspected May 24. The inspector blamed the overflow on the roof, saying it extended
too far. I had a new roof installed August 22. After installation, the gutters still overflow. I have pictures
and video of this. I called the company and they sent another inspector September 17. He saw the
pictures and videos, borrowed my level to check the gutters and removed the downspout to check it. He
said he would talk to his supervisor. I texted the supervisor, Dan, twice and received no reply. I sent the
company a letter September 23 informing them if they did not fulfill the contract, I would have no choice
but to go to court. I have not received a reply. Next week, I will contact an attorney and ask a judge to
decide this issue.
We went out to the customers home on 10/28/19 to find that she had our product removed by roofers back in August. Therefore, the Warranty is void. Please close this dispute.
Complaint: *** I am rejecting this response because the roofers did NOT remove the Leaf Guard product and I took pictures of the filter after they were finished to show no damage was done. A representative of Leaf Filter came to my house 10/16. A judge can determine if he damaged the filter or if my photos show no damage was done by the roofers. I am proceeding with legal action against Leaf Filter. Thank you for your assistance.

Customer stated they do not want to work with us. We are working towards resolution and will see what our options are.
I am done with this company. They have lied to me multiple times and threatened me once. I want no further contact with them - ever.
We had the salesperson come to our house and give us an estimate. So glad we didn’t have to give money up front. Because they never showed up or called on the day of install. The day we picked was completely open per office scheduling. We wanted the 9 to 11 spot. Well the day came and the time came and went. We called salesperson, we called customer service. No return calls. Finally got ahold of customer service around 230. They transferred me to install supervisor. Daniel couldn’t believe they didn’t show up. Told him wanted to cancel install. He said we signed a contract, which I informed him they broke by not showing up. He then said they left the warehouse at 745. Was to check and call me back. Never called back, but within an hour a crew showed up, (@ 3:30) having finished the job they were working on. Told them not to start work until we talked to supervisor. No call from supervisor and no more communication from the crew. They left. Tearing branches off the tree in front of our home. Next day a call from Daniel. He tried excuse after excuse, blaming clerical error. Not my problem. No call, no show. Maybe I’m old school, but in jobs I’ve had if you didn’t show up or call, you got fired. Never heard from salesperson (Daniel said he’d have him call us to see if they could make it right). Hopefully Daniel follows through on one thing.... filing the contract in file 13, the trash can.
Hi ***, can you please provide your address so we can locate your account and assist you? Thank you!
Product does NOT work as advertised. There is a 100% money back guarantee that they have honored. They did attempt to make the product work as advertised however after 3 attempts it does NOT work.
We are scheduled for 10/4/19.

I am rejecting this response because: I allowed them to come to my home today and conduct what they thought would be a solution, I was unable to be present because of work. Their solution is a train-wreck! They added an additional downspout that runs across the roof creating a dam for leaves, it's absolutely ridiculous! Additionally I discussed with them the need to clean off the screens as they had much debris permanently stuck to them and they agreed that it should be cleaned however this was NOT done! Despite their efforts to attempt to remedy the problems it is apparent that they are not capable of making their system work as advertised. I just want my money back and to move on to another product. This will be two fall seasons without a working gutter guard and I live on a wooded lot! That's why I bought it....what a monumental waste of time and my efforts.

Issue was serviced on 10/14/2019. Resolution has been reached.

I contacted Leaf Filter to have gutter guards installed at my home. A salesperson came to my house on 6/22/2019 and signed contracts and secured financing. An install date was set 6/27/2019, then was canceled by Leaf Filter. A second install date was 7/13/2019 but they no-showed. A third install date was set for 7/27/2019 and the installers came but said they didn't have a tall enough latter. They said they would arrive the next day 7/28/2019, but then canceled again. I hear nothing for 2 months.
On 8/27/2019, I call Leaf Filter and they agree to cancel the job. I advised to have the financing canceled with ***, since the job will no longer take place. I have called three times to follow up and have been told the financing would be canceled. I have logged into *** account portal to keep finding the authorization is still pending. I need the authorization canceled, so I can close the account with ***.
We advised *** to remove the pending authorization.

We signed a contract to have Leaffilter installed on 8/15/19. The installers were supposed to arrive between 0800-1000. At 1100, I called Leaffilter. They said installer having truck issues with ladder, had to return to get another truck. Crew arrived around 1215 pm.
Truck had no signage, crew had no shirts identifying company or themselves. Only form of ID was clipboard with contract on it. One crew member did not even have a shirt on! Ironic on website video, installer has Leaffilter shirt and hat on. Did not observe any realigning or even a level to see if gutters needed to be realigned. Did not observe any sealing of joints, no seal or caulk gun observed, as contract stated would be done Job was not completed on 8/15/19, crew had to return with longer ladder to finish new downspout install. When I called Leaffilter, customer service said that once brackets were installed on their truck, they'd be back to finish. Probably next day. They showed up 5 days later; same beat up truck with a ladder rack, no shirts, no ID.
When installer had one downspout complete, I noticed what seemed to be an old piece of downspout, about 4-6' long attached to new. When I questioned him, he said it was old, he was afraid he wouldn't have enough of new to do both. I told him I paid for new, wanted new installed. Not my problem if estimator didn't order enough. Well, AMAZINGLY, he did find enough! He replaced old. Had I not said anything, wonder what he would have done with new parts?
Rest of new downspouts not used were crumpled up and put in his truck. Can't use for another job?
My husband has called their customer service, twice. Last call on 8/21/19. STILL no reply. I have contacted Facebook twice. I gave them wrong contract number first time. Second time they got it right, Nikki said she or someone would contact me. That was over 6 days ago. NOTHING. Leaffilter did not hesitate to cash my check though.
We have tried reaching out to the customer but they have not returned our calls. We will continue our efforts in reaching them so we can meet a resolution.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Leaffilter called us and basically fluffed us off, said we could use customer service if we had concerns. My work has been done, if you want to call it that. My problem is for the next customer that will be screwed and given the same treatment. No regard for mistakes or steps taken to ensure it won't happen again.

Received a $250 off coupon at The Ohio State fair. Got an estimate from LeafFilter for new gutters. I attempted to give the coupon to the salesman at the time of the estimate. Salesman refused the coupon saying he wrote the estimate too cheap to take a coupon. I called corporate immediately after the estimate appointment. Woman on phone said Dan or Tony would call the next day to straighten-out. Same evening Tony called. Tony berated me. Tony yelled at me about gutter lengths, elbows, and end-caps. Tony raised price from $1400 to $2500 and said would take $250 off of $2500 if I wanted. Tony continued to berated me, and just before he hung up on me, Tony said I was "not his customer and I'm not doing your gutters".
Leaffilter totally messed-up here. I fulfilled all of my obligations; by getting a quote and turning in the coupon as required. Leaffilter should not be behaving this way. Leaffilter should not be yelling at me about lengths, elbows or the like. The issue is simple: estimate-coupon: $1400-$250=$1150. If Tony wants to apologize my number is .
We have reached out to Nr. *** and offered him a token of our appreciation. We told Mr. if he wishes to sign a contract with our company to let us know.
I am rejecting this response because: disappointing but not surprised. More lies. Leaffilter did not reach out to me as claimed in their response. Leaffilter did not offer a token of their appreciation as claimed in their response. That equals nothing but lies...just like the fake coupons they hand out.
Regards,
<
Not sure what clarification you are expecting. Price was supposed to be $1,150.00 but Leaffilter won't honor it. Leaffilter has now raised the price to $2800.00! Leaffilter has continued to lie and waste time in each response. Leaffilter has not promised to stop handing out fake coupons.
Hi!We basically offered Mr. a significant discount off the original price quoted and $250 coupon. Mr. did not want to do business with us. We can’t force him to do business with us if he doesn’t want to. He also filed an Attorney General complaint as well. He never hired us.Karlie C Customer Relationship Manager LeafFilter™ North, LLC

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback, ***. We'll have someone from our support team reach out shortly to address your concerns.
I think this product, Leaffilter gutter guard, is exorbitantly over-priced and that a comparable product can be found at at a much, more reasonable cost. Further, many sections of my gutter do not look aesthetically pleasing. This is because when one worker removed the existing gutter nails, that left large, unattractive holes on the front of the gutter. Whereas, his co-worker took the time to remove & shorten the nails and replace them back in the holes to conceal this flaw. The entire project should have been done in this manner. I tried to contact the sales person to alert him about this problem but I was not given the courtesy of a return call. I’m certain that a competitor could have done this job at lower cost and more professionally.
Hi *** - It's our goal to ensure every customer is completely satisfied. We will have someone follow up with your experience.
During the discussion to purchase leaf guards for my residence and after the quoted price, the sales person advised that I could choose to pay for the product over a period of 48 months for $89.00 and if the $89.00 was paid, there would be no interest charged. Later, I receive a credit card from Wells Fargo, that was never referenced or wanted. I called the company and discussed with sales person and again was told, no interest would be charged and to ignore the credit card. I paid $1000.00 instead of the $89.00 charged on the first bill. Now, because I didn't pay the entire balance, I've incurred a $33.64 interest charge, that I was told that I wouldn't get on a credit card I never asked for. I believe that the company deceptively and without my approval or knowledge, have now caused me to incur additional expenses that I hadn't asked to incur. I will be paying off the balance of my acct, cancelling the card (that I didn't ask for).
We believe resolution has been executed in full. If the customer should need anything they can reach our Service Department at .

If I could give less than one star, I would. We got a quote from them, and a signed contract, a month ago. First scheduled appointment, they didn't show up. No call. The crew called in sick. Next appointment, they didn't bring the right equipment. Next appointment, no show, no call, same thing the next time. Then a crew shows up. the ladders aren't long enough, they leave without doing anything. My husband called HQ, they promised to get the gutter system in, no matter what. Guess what? No show again, then they call and say they're not going to do the job, the pitch of the roof is wrong. Hello? The estimator saw the roof. We live in a suburban two story house in CA, built in the 1990s, not some gothic Victorian from the 1890s. They wasted a month of our time. I'm betting if we had canceled the contract they would have threatened to sue. Utterly unprofessional and a total scam in my opinion.
I apologize- I will be getting this to upper management. If you need anything further please reach the Service Department at .
On April 21, 2018 I entered into a contract with LeafFilter North Inc. for gutter protection. The salesman who signed the contract, Scott H, looked over the work required, spoke with my wife and I, and pointed out stains on the soffit caused by rain water coming behind the gutters and he advised us the gutters would be properly remounted to preclude that from happening. As a matter of fact point 4 on the contract reads "We re-align the gutters in necessary." The gutters were never "realigned". The problem of the rainwater running down behind the gutters was never resolved. It was job # *** with this company. A couple of people from the company have come out to look at the problem but nobody has fixed anything. Total amount paid for the job was $6,372.00. I have gutter covers on but the problems which can be resolved by re-alignment of the gutters has not been resolved.
We are scheduled for service early next week. If the customer should need anything they can reach our Service Department at .
I have sent a "snail mail" letter to Mr. Matthew J K in hopes of getting a response to my situation. The company charged my credit card BEFORE installation. Did not show for the installation and never called. It was only through my persistence and in phoning the branch that the appointment was rescheduled but for 10 days further down the road. So now they had my money, I had NO product and I couldn't get them to respond. The salesman I had was outstanding and tried to help as well but even he got no response and at one point was told that someone would call me and they never did. We have had a very rainy September and the product has worked very well but after weeks of wet weather I am checking on a wet spot on my ceiling in the first floor living room. Hoping they didn't damage my house so that water is wicking in... fingers crossed or I will be taking further action. All in all the salesman, the installer, and one receptionist have my kudos for going above and beyond. But they need to address of their customer interaction. Finally when discussing what a disaster this transaction was on their part I asked the manager that called me to consider a discount to resurrect he said he couldn't do that.... so now you have charge a customer thousands of dollars BEFORE installation which is totally against your advertising, didn't contact me, the customer when your installation team did not adhere to the confirmed installation date, and did nothing to ease the pain so the customer would feel better about the company. Nope as a matter of fact the manager did call me back and ask if a $50 gift card would help and I agreed..... IT NEVER SHOWED UP! I feel the product is good the customer service is horrible and had easy solutions in all cases. So now I will see if Mr. K stands up to his claims and if I get an answer from my snail mail to him.
Thank you for reaching out to us. I do apologize for this inconvenience. We strive for the best customer service at LeafFilter Gutter Protection and we will get this to upper Management for review. We appreciate your patience.
Leaf Guard installed new gutters on my house. When they removed my old gutters they removed the flashing that acts as a drip edge and did not replace it. Now the new gutters are practically useless as the water from the roof runs behind them. They responded to my first complaint on this issue by acknowledging the error and fixing 1 stretch of roof, about 30% of the total. They are now refusing to take any additional action.
We did have a contract with the customer and executed the contract in November of 2017. The customer agreed and paid for the services rendered. The customer reported a service concern shortly thereafter that we corrected and the customer has also acknowledged that. No issues were reported by the customer until September of 2018, almost a year later. That being said, we are certainly interested in helping the customer explore the issue and find a resolution. Our corporate response team has left a message for the customer to work out those details and as of this report has not received a reply. Should the customer need to reach the response team directly, they can do so at .
The issue I reported on install was not completely remidiated, only the one stretch of gutter was corrected. I never agreed that the issue was resolved. Why would only a portion of the gutter be addressed?
I have not spoke with the business since this Item was enter but I’ll call them today.

The gutter protection in several areas in the gutters that are coming loose. My daughter has called 4-5 times to get a installer to come to my home to repair this problem. I have a life time warranty on this produce and no one is calling back to inform us of the repair. We have had issues with product itself and service department. Initially, the company missed installation date and after us following up with them multiple times, they rescheduled twice before product was installed. Since product was installed, every time it rains, the water is overflowing the gutters and gushing right into our landscaping, washing away mulch and creating water pockets in our landscape. We have a big concern with water getting into our basement as the point of the gutters is to keep water away from foundation. We were never told by a sales person that splash guards were necessary. If we knew that, we would never purchase this product. Additionally, after a couple of bad rains we had screws coming off our roof and when the service tech came out, he said that probably the installer left them on the house. After the service tech came out, he said that he will be providing a report back and that we would be getting a call from customer service to try to come up with the resolution. I have since called 3 times and no response back from customer service or a call back from service management.
We have reached out to the customer and we are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, September 12th. If the customer should need anything in the meantime they are welcome to call us @ .
We had to reschedule our appointment to this week. Until we meet with the service technician and find resolution satisfactory we are rejecting this response as we are not considering the complaint resolved just yet.
