KAYAK is in receipt of this complaint For clarification, KAYAK lets you easily compare hundreds of travel sites at onceOnce you find the booking option that you like, KAYAK gives you choices where to bookYou can book with the airline, hotel, car rental company, an online travel agency or via KAYAK through one of our third-party providers The traveler made a reservation directly with [redacted] and forwarded her itinerary to KAYAK’s free travel planner called My Trips Changing the dates in My Trips does not change the reservation itself The traveler would have needed to contact [redacted] to change the reservation as [redacted] is the service provider For further assistance with this past reservation the traveler will need to contact *** Thank you

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] has lied to me over and over again regarding the ticket we purchasedThe bottom line is, because I put my wife's married name instead of her maiden name on the ticket, they are telling me I have to pay an additional $to use the ticket at a later dateThis is absurd!!! I was forced to purchase another ticket so that my wife could fly out yesterday to her hometown with our one-year-oldI would rather handle this in a court instead of over Revdex.com Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The ticket I cancelled four days in advance of the return flight DID have value because [redacted] or some other travel agency resold itMy seat on that flight was sold, which I know for a fact because my colleague was on that flight and reported it 100% full [redacted] will confirm this as wellWhy does Vayama or Kayak get to keep money they never lost? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I called [redacted] and was told they have no record of these bookingsThese are Kayak bookingsThese are the same stalling tactics I have experienced from Kayak each of the more than five times I requested a refundThey tell me I need to call someone else such as the [redacted] hotel and each time I am told this IS Kayak solely Ask Kayak to provide proof the [redacted] charged them for my stayI was assured there would be no charges from [redacted] These stalling tactics and attempts to shift the responsibility are classic for a concern that is attempting to distort the truth I am not able to allow Kayak to keep my hard earned money for no good reason Sincerely, [redacted] ***

For clarification, KAYAK lets you easily compare hundreds of travel sites at onceOnce you find the booking option that you like, KAYAK gives you choices where to bookYou can book with the airline, hotel, car rental company, an online travel agency or via KAYAK through one of our third-party providers Upon selecting to book via KAYAK's booking option at the top of the screen and on the right hand side of the screen it was stated that the booking was being completed on [redacted] via KAYAK and that [redacted] will be providing the customer service for this reservationUpon selecting KAYAK's booking option if the traveler did not want to process the reservation via [redacted] the traveler would be able to go back to the search results and select a different providerUnder the first section Review Flight and Fare there was a link that said See fare rulesBy selecting that link the traveler would have been able to review the fare rules for the reservation The traveler agreed to [redacted] 's policies by clicking the book button For further assistance the traveler will need to contact [redacted] 's service centerThank you

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Booking was done on Kayak.com receip came from Kayak.com followed by another receipt to my surprise from [redacted] Either way I trusted Kayak to book my tickets with a reputable agency [redacted] is not a reputable companyAlso the tax portion of my ticket should be refunded at the least since the flight was never boarded Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because Kayak has provided information about the email The "hour" email was sent and a half hours before the flight They have yet to provide any proof that they sent the email hours in advance We were unable to access the information due to the fact we had left our hotel and no longer had internet access The following paragraph will continue to solidify my claim as to why I am rejecting the response.Kayak also offers a tool on their website to track trips that you have booked with them When I checked the website on the morning of the flight the website said the flight was leaving at 9pm When we got to the airport and the airline informed us the flight left at 8:15pm and we were too late, I checked kayak.com again and it still said pm There is no disclaimer on their web page saying times are subject to change and that an email would provide more accurate information If I buy a ticket on a website I would expect the website be up to date and provide the most accurate information unless it is specifically stated on the webpageI took a screenshot of the webpage with the time and all informationThere was nothing stating the fact that email would be more accurateAccording to information kayak provided in previous email they claimed that the time of the flight was changed back to 8:15pm nearly months before the flight That would have given them nearly months to update their website with the most accurate information It makes total sense that a website would provide the most up to date information Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: When the flights were chosen and it came to pay, KAYAK's site was there to accept my credit cardIf we could go back in April of 2014, the way the site was then, it would show that the payment was accepted on the kayak siteIt is not up to me, only them, as to whom receives my credit card for paymentSo why are they allowed to give me the run around about my 'goodwill offering' made by these emails(Can I get some advice or guidance from Revdex.com about this matter as to what I should do or how to proceed nextPlease assist meThank you.) Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I was contacted by [redacted] .com They are giving me the same runaround they have always been giving meI was not able to use the money I spent to purchase the ticketI was forced to buy my wife another ticket from a better agency that gives better customer service and [redacted] informed me that I have a credit in the amount of the purchase price of the ticket however, I have to spend $to reuse it$is what they charged me to cancel it which they stated there was no feeI dispute that, I have a credit card receipt showing I spent $to cancel the ticketThis is just one more lie in the litany of lies they've told meThey also told me I have to spend $in order to use my $credit Remember now this is all because I simply inadvertently put my wife's married name and not her maiden name on the ticket I booked for herThis is an international flight and apparently the names must match regardless of the fact that her Hawaii drivers license which is a legal document shows her married name I am appalled that kayak.com continues to do business with an F rated company by the Revdex.comHow could such a large company refer their US customers to such a horrible company is beyond meI have spent over five hours on the phone with [redacted] attempting to clear this matterTheir customer service is atrocious and I promise to never do business with them again and I would encourage any customers reading this to use another service such as [redacted] unless kayak.com severs ties with [redacted] *** Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: after communicating with both [redacted] and Kayak, both companies wee negligent and deceptiveIt is Kayak, however that directs their customers to [redacted] without the customer's consentFor a bad product, this can be problematic [redacted] did not tell me my flight was ineligible for miles despite many communications by me giving my mileage number and being told by them that my flight was eligible Never in my life have I bought a ticket that was not redeemable for mileage creditThere was no prior indication whatsoever that my ticket was in a class that could not get miles, and information KAYAK sent in response to my Revdex.com complaint was not provided to me before purchasing the ticketsThey just took my money and said [redacted] would be the ticket issuerKAYAK and [redacted] should not sell tickets in this class without explicit disclosure that they are worth lessIt is already known that [redacted] does stuff like this, based on *** and the complaints that Revdex.com getsSo Kayak should allow customer choice when choosing a ticket, instead of going to the bottom of the barrel for their vendorsI had not used either company before this and am disgusted at the product and the customer service/ The other terrible thing here is that the tickets were not even cheap, which does not support the class they were assigned to [redacted] explained to me that these web-based companies buy in bulk and arbitrarily assign a classHow corrupt can they get I am concerned by reader the Revdex.com complaints about [redacted] and how there seems to have been no real action by Revdex.com in each case Sincerely, [redacted]
