As we have stated in the previous response [redacted] booked her travel and paid for it. All she needed to do was go on her trip. By signing the Travel Request Form and the initial Travel Certificate she showed us that she agreed with our Terms and Conditions. In our Terms and Conditions it states that once you book travel and pay for it, a refund cannot be issued.

We understand the concerns expressed by [redacted] and hope we can assist with his issue. We can see where skepticism would exist for anything “free”. We do not advertise our promotional offers and nowhere in our documentation do we state that our offers are “free”. We do not...
want to misrepresent our products so we do state in the documentation provided to each customer, no one should rely upon the representations of anyone outside our organization as to the specifics of our offers. We also need to point out that we are a third party company, completely separate from the company that gave the promotional offer to Hugo. We are diligent in providing complete Terms and Conditions at several touch points so that consumers can make well informed, educated decisions about participating in our exciting offers. All of [redacted] request for travel landed during holiday periods and during peak season which the booking agent discussed with him. According to the terms and conditions, the promotional travel is not available during these dates, however we will provide discounted travel. Unfortunately, what we get charged for flights by the airlines outside of the promotions windows may not always be the best. We are not able regulate airline costs outside of our allotments. Upon receiving his quote, as is listed here, on 5/15/2014 [redacted] sent in an email requesting his refund to be returned. At that point, we began processing his refund then which takes 6-8 weeks. [redacted] Refund has been processed per his email request and he should have it by the end of next week.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
After sitting through a 90 minute+ presentation, filling out numerous forms, getting a cashiers' check, and mailing via certified mail, I do not want to start the process over again with a new form. This would require another cashiers' check, more certified mail, and more time. Then I am at the mercy of this company to hope I didn't make any errors because the whole process is not customer friendly. I feel I have put in way more time than initially promised for two round trip airline tickets.
The only way I see this resolved is for the company to show good customer relations and send us two round trip airline vouchers WITH NO STRINGS ATTACHED.
I have invested all the time AND RISK that I am willing to spend with this business practice. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Regards,
[redacted]

I was invited to attend a presentation for a new travel agent in town in exchange for some free travel vouchers. I sat through their slimy sales pitch which wasn't even about a travel agent anyway, but travel software. They wouldn't let me look at the software so that I could compare prices with other similar programs. I declined to buy and the sales manager got very mad that I wanted to leave with my gifts. Nevertheless, I was able to finally go. You have to go through so many steps trying to redeem these "gifts" and they are so confusing, even for a young professional! My "free" hotel trip was going to end up costing me more than if I booked through [redacted]. I never could get them to deliver on the free airfare. I called to talked to them about the hotel, but they refused to acknowledge the pricing was bad, and continued trying to convince me it was a deal. I have certainly learned my lesson the hard way when it comes to these sales pitches. This is my third time around the block. I'm done with this stuff altogether.
This company does sales for Global Connections. They made lots of promises of good deals but when we tried to follow through on it there was lots and lots of paper work. After all the paper work was done and all the 'fees' were paid the savings they promised just wasn't there as we could get the same rates ourselves and there was NO savings whatsoever. The final cost was within $.50 of their reduced/discounted rate. The whole thing was a scam!

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11111689, and if I receive my refund by 2/15/16, the time they stated, and I don't have to contact the company anymore about this, then I will consider this matter resolved. I will wait for the business to perform this action and only then will I consider this complaint resolved. As of today 2/8/16, this matter remains unresolved.

I went to a presentation in [redacted] with my spouse. I was told I would get 2 complimentary airline tickets free with the exception of taxes plus a 7 night Cruise. I started filling the paperwork out and found out it's 2 offers and can't combine the cruise and air. I now sent in the 3 dates of our travel must be 3 different places 30 days at least apart. I find it ironic that when I finally get through on the phone the rep is the same female and I wonder if it's it just she answering the phone since the wait is so long. I now got an eamil telling me to send in my payment deposit. Confused, I called [redacted] back and said to her, why am I sending you money if we are not sure you are honoring us dates. She couldn't give me any "like" costs for my travel dates selected including fees, service charge etc. She now asks for a certified bank check or money order, which I would not want to ever send since it's good as cash and not traceable. I am one who has bought the [redacted] at least a half dozen times in the past. What do you people out there think? Anything positive of IIG Promotions in Lake Havasu City, AZ? Has anyone sent in their $100 in money order or certified check?

each customer, that no one should rely upon the representations of anyone outside our organization as to the specifics of our offers. We are a third party company, completely separate from the company that presented to Ms. [redacted]. The company presented a free CERTIFICATE. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do agree that we paid for the actual trip, but it was based on false pretenses. For example we were advised that the deposit that we made would be used towards the cost of the cruise so when we agreed to the amount it was due to the fact that we assumed that the $406 total we were quoted was not including the actual deposit. Which would have meant we were actually paying $306, which would have made the cruise cost $153 per person which was actually less than the $179 per person that we believed the cost was going to be. After I discovered I was credited for the whole balance this is when we began to question the prices and methods the company took. I have contacted customer service on several occasions to no avail. I agree they did did provide us with the terms and conditions of the trip, but then have advised us we violated the terms and conditions and after many attempts to figure out what we did wrong and asking specifically what terms and conditions we violated no one can provide a clear answer. The repeated response is that we selected to upgrade the room to an "Inside Cabin". I have attached a copy of the original registration and Inside cabin is not even a choice for selection we chose no upgrade. So it seems that we are left feeling deceived and like we did something wrong, but no one can provide what we did.

his issue. We would like to address a couple of matters in this complaint. We do not advertise our promotional offers and nowhere in our documentation do we state that our offers are “free”. In no way do we misrepresent our products and we do state in the documentation provided to each customer, no one should rely upon the representations of anyone outside our organization as to the specifics of our offers. Our promotional offers are time sensitive and it is clearly outlined in the terms and conditions. On 4/25/2014, [redacted] was issued their promotional offer and did not Registered their promotion until 5/15/2014. and we sent out the Travel Request form as per the terms and conditions by email immediately upon completion of registration. On 5/23/2014 [redacted] called our offices to ensure that the time lines were understood and to make sure all steps were understood. We did not receive the required Travel forms until 6/12/2014 which is outside of the terms and conditions [redacted] agreed to upon registration.
We also note that refunds have been sent for the deposits.
