I filed a complaint on 12/27/It was assigned ID ***In my confirmation email, it says to inform you if I have had any additional contact with the businessI think it's important to note that when I filed the complaint two days ago, I had been told that I would be contacted by the
company within hours, but it has now been hours and I have not heard from themI tried to call again todayAt first, I was able to go through the automated menu, but I was disconnectedWhen I have tried calling since then, the phone only rings without a menu or anyone answering.Thank you,Dana ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Unfortunately the hours in which the GFS representative has contacted are also my work hours and I am not at liberty to talk to them during that timeI also have tried calling GFS and was given voicemail on several occassions
I am for the last time requesting physical documentation that shows I oweI also will need that evidence to show my current mortgage company that there was an error in the purchase or payment to them if that is the caseI have provided
"some" of the documents to GFS I am just wondering why that same courtesy has not been provided to me to examine what they say is the caseI also discovered that the selling company has days after the sale to reconcile any
outstanding billing and there was no outstanding billing to reconcile and that time has passedI am willing to send money for the NSF fee within reason that was incurred by the company if this is the case

We have sent a certified letter to the borrower on October 16th, 2014 along with documentation to show how the loan was closed and when payments were due and to whom.  The attached is what was sent.

GSF Mortgage is very pleased to have been able to
successfully close on our client’s purchase of their new home.  GSF
Mortgage takes great pride in the ability to provide our clients with the
funding needed for New Home Purchases and/or Refinances.  GSF Mortgage is
not a...

depository bank, thus, mostly requires for Investors to purchase the Note
and Mortgage Servicing Rights for our clients.  We provide our clients
with a disclosure at closing advising them of the assignment/transfer of their
mortgage to the Investor.  We provide them with an Investor toll free
number, address and first payment information.  We also advise our clients
of the interim transition from closing to transfer could result in a payment to
GSF Mortgage.  At times, the purchase transaction is not completed within
the first 15 days of closing, of the Investor’s following billing cycle.
There are many factors that can cause a loan to transfer and board on an
Investor’s systems.  Each Investor’s procedures and guidelines vary.
When this occurs, GSF Mortgage will collect the first mortgage payment from our
clients.  In this particular case, our client’s loan was not purchased
within the Investor’s cut-off period and GSF Mortgage was to collect the
client’s first mortgage payment.

We delivered the client a first payment letter for their
first payment due in 8/1/14.  We received the client’s payment in form of
a check on 7/31/14.  Unfortunately, our client’s check could not be
processed due to NSF.  We made contact with our client on 8/7/14 and
advised our client of the NSF check.  We advised our client we truly
appreciate their business and understand the interim period could cause some
inconvenience.  As a result we advised our client we would waive any and
all late fees/penalties related to the NSF check and the past due amount, for
added convenience.  On 8/12/14, our client advised us a new check was sent
to GSF Mortgage for the 8/1/14 payment.  GSF reached out to our client to
kindly follow up with her 8/1 payment has not yet been received.  GSF
wants to assure our client used the proper mailing address listed on their
payment coupon.  GSF also contacted the client to advise her that her
second payment due in 9/1/14 would be made with the Investor, going
forward.  This was due to the fact that the Investor had now completed the
purchase of their loan with their first payment due to said Investor on
9/1/14.  In other words, our Investor purchased the loan for a total
principal balance that included the application of funds from the 8/1/14
payment due to GSF (i.e. the Current Principal Balance vs. the Original
Principal Balance).

As of 9/29/14, GSF has not received a new check for the
client’s 8/1/14 payment.  We understand that the transition between
closing and having the client’s loan board to their Investor’s systems has
caused our client some confusion.  We have advised our client that we
truly appreciate the opportunity to earn their business.  Our ultimate
goal is to simply accomplish customer excellence with all of our clients.
It is our mission to lend to our client’s favor.  We only hope that our
client’s needs can be met so that the pending matter can be resolved quickly
and smoothly.

I am requesting additional time to respond to this complaint.  Our loans are serviced by a third party and due to the holidays, the information will not be provided to us from the third party in time to meet the deadline.  We are taking this matter seriously and will provide a response by January 12, 2018.  Thank you for your patience, and I look forward to resolving this to the borrower's satisfaction.

We have worked with [redacted] for over 10 years which has included 3 new mortgages and quite a few refi's. He is the best of the best. We have always gotten the best rate and had no problems through the process. Any time we have had questions or concerns, Mike was there to address them, offer alternatives, or do whatever it takes to make sure we were taken care of. Finding someone you trust in this market is priceless. We feel very fortunate to have found that someone in [redacted].

Horrible costumer service, they made several mistakes when finalizing my loan. When I called to have them corrected they were very rude. I was told "if I stop calling and bothering them it would get done faster" then I was hung up on. They then sold my loan to another loan company before fixing the mistakes they made.
Then weeks after I closed my loan I was tagged in several emails that were supposed to be sent to other GSF employees. I assume their is someone else with the same first name as me and that's why I was tagged, but it just goes to show you the lack of care they handle your personal information.

I worked with [redacted] at GSF. She was extremely helpful and great to work with. I was exploring different mortgage scenarios with her and she was quickly able to tell me the current rates and effects on my monthly payments. I did minimal work while she and GSF took care of the bulk of the application process. GSF staff were very helpful and they made sure that everything went smoothly.

[redacted] and [redacted] were extremely helpful, efficient, thorough, and available. The mortgage process has changed so much, but they guided us through it. [redacted] responded immediately to all communication and worked diligently to get us the best rates and to close on time. Our case was more complicated than the typical buyer, as we own our own business and several rental properties. They were able to help us get all required documentation together quickly and helped us lock in to a low rate early in the process, which saved us money. The lending fees were also very low (lowest we saw anywhere). We definitely recommend this company, and [redacted] in particular.

Everyone I worked with at GSF Mortgage was knowledgable and helpful. The refinance process was very fast an easy. The online document submissions were very easy and helped to speed everything along. I would definitely use GSF Mortgage again!

Review: My brand new mortgage loan was sold before my 1st ever payment was due. I was contacted by the new company with a balance and due date. The new company purchased my loan in full and the statement reflected the correct the purchase balance of my original

loan (very close with dollars due to estimates) and reflected a 30 year maturity with 360 payments. I am being contact by a representative of GSF (the company who sold the loan before the 1st payment was due) his name is [redacted] demanding that I send him a months payment. Originally I sent him a check for a months mortgage and he said he would send me a statement. After receiving a phone call and letter from the new mortgage company and seeing the date reflected I knew I had made a mistake. I contacted them and they said no payments were due to GSF and my 1st payment due date was extended due to processing time but they purchase the loan in full. I contacted my bank concerning the check and pulled my funding out of my account in fear that the money would go to the wrong company. I tried to call several times and got various voicemails from GSF with no success until I started to pay the new company. The rep listed above has sent me a threatening letter and voicemeail demanding payment. I spoke with another rep and that person stated I do not have a payment due with GSF or an account. I have since sent the rep and company a letter with documentation concerning my loan and requested that they provide information as to where my money will go if I sent money to them with no documentation returned.Desired Settlement: I would like this representative to be stopped. This transaction is in several violations from the federal trade commisssion and the RESPA act to protect consumers and I have documentation of the violations.

I would like to be left alone and able to enjoy my new home purchase.

Response:

As a first time home buyer, I had many questions throughout the process. [redacted] and [redacted] were both very helpful and very responsive. Without them and their helpful guidance, I am not sure we would now be living in our house - that we love! I would recommend them and GSF Mortgage to any home buyer! I had talked to one other Mortgage firm and they were cold and impersonal. GSF was the opposite and made you feel as though you were their only priority.

My wife and I recently refinanced our home with GSF Mortgage. Our lender was Jim D[redacted] and his team. We could not have had a better experience in working with them. It will probably seem like I'm blowing this out of proportion, but I truly believe that Jim is one of the nicest and most honest people we've ever worked with. From start to finish, he and his team were top notch. Saved us a bunch of money on our mortgage and also put my wife in I in a much better place than when we started the process. He truly cares about helping people and it shows. I highly reccomend calling Jim to see if he can help you. You won't regret it.

I used GSF for the purchase of my home. [redacted] was my mortgage originator. SHE WAS AWESOME! I used a local bank when I bought my previous home. I must say that working with [redacted] was a great experience all around. She was readily available to talk over the phone and respond to emails. I couldn't complain about any part of the process. GSF and Pam delivered on everything they promised. They also saved me LOTS of money by not charging some of the fees that many local banks charge. I am recommending GSF and [redacted] to anyone I know looking to buy a home!

I worked with [redacted] through GSF Mortgage and I was highly impressed with her knowledge, responsiveness and her work ethic to get the job done quickly with no erros. I would would highly recommend her to other people needing a home loan or doing a re-finance. Nice job [redacted]!!!

My wife and I were looking for lenders for a mortgage for our first home. GSF was our second lender we visited. We ended up with a lender by name of Brian H. Unlike our first experience, Brian went through all the options that were available to us, and even hand picked out a plan that he was confident would be the best fit for our family. Throughout the mortgage process, Brian was available day and night, by phone, or by email. When it came time to sign some papers, he even stayed late after his day was done, just so my wife and I could come in together to sign them. When closing day came, Brian showed up for support. You can tell he cared, and wanted to see the mortgage from beginning to end. I can't say enough about GSF, for us being first time home buyers, we couldn't have picked a better company to work with.

My husband and I worked with [redacted] and [redacted] on the December 2013 purchase of a newly constructed home. Both were extremely responsive and patient as the time frame kept getting pushed back due to construction delays and weather. I would HIGHLY recommend GSF. [redacted] and [redacted] were fantastic!

Very pleasant to work with. Informative, educated, and timely in all aspects of the transaction. I would highly recommend.

I was referred to GSF by my mother who is a realtor. She had had great experiences working with GSF through her clients, so when my husband and I decided to buy a home using a VA Loan, GSF was who was recommended to us. I can honestly say, they made the home buying process easier than we EVER thought it could be! [redacted] was our loan officer (who we were referred to) and she was amazing from the beginning! She did our pre-approval in a matter of minutes and kept us in the loop EVERY step of the way. She answered all of our questions (and as first time buyers, there were a LOT!) in a timely manner, a professional manner, and with a genuine desire to see us get through this process and wind up in the home we had chosen. [redacted] was our loan processor and to say she 'knows her stuff' or is 'on the ball' wouldn't quite cover it. Again, timely responses to questions (lots!), professionalism, efficient, and kept us in the loop every step of the way! [redacted] and [redacted] were quick to assure us that everything we were providing to them for documentation was normal and why it was needed, they told us ahead of time what to expect and when to expect it and what everything meant. Today, we received our HUD statement and we will close on our new home in just 5 days! We couldn't be happier with the service we received from [redacted], and the staff at GSF--they truly helped us make our dream of finally buying a home a reality!
