Billing frustration
Billing department needs improvement as it is quite confusing. I receive online statements; however going to website, it says something different altogether...out of sync and confusing. As far as the service, my devices are buffering a lot more. I'm getting messages frequently saying I'm not connected to the internet. So about equally as satisfied with this service as the last one. Plus ... more holes in my siding. :0(

Deceptive marketing and lied about Legacy pricing for life
I've been a loyal customer of GoNetspeed for quite some time, but recent developments have left me extremely disappointed.

I received an email stating that the legacy 150 Mbps service tier is being eliminated due to advancements in fiber technology. However the email stated, they were going to upgrade our speeds for free to 500 Mbps. While I appreciate the effort to provide better speeds, the lack of clear communication about the removal of the promised lifetime pricing lock is unacceptable which was never mentioned in the email.

When I called customer service to seek clarification, I was informed that the $49.99 price for the upgraded 500 Mbps tier is only guaranteed for one year. Aftewards the price will increase to $59.99 and was subject to further increases in subsequent years. This contradicts the initial agreement that assured a lifetime pricing guarantee for the 150 Mbps tier.

"Flat rates forever! We mean it.Cable bills with sneaky charges and price hikes are the worst. As long as you’re a GoNetspeed customer and reside at your current residence, your fee won’t change. Like, ever."

What's particularly frustrating is the apparent lack of proper notice. The email mentions an automatic upgrade on the November 17th bill, but the gravity of the changes and the impact on pricing were not adequately communicated. As a customer, I expect transparency and fair treatment, especially when it comes to alterations in services and pricing.

I urge GoNetspeed to reconsider their approach to customer communication and honor the commitments made during the initial signup. It's disappointing to see a company prioritize upgrades without respecting the agreements they made with their existing customers.

I hope this review serves as constructive feedback, and I encourage other customers to scrutinize any recent communications from GoNetspeed regarding service changes and pricing.

Misleading about availability
Gonetspeed came to my area, they installed the cables underground in the street in front of my house and told me it’s available for my address. But, when I called to have it installed, they said my house is too far from the street. My house is 200’ from the road, I have cable and all utilities, but I think gonetspeed is falsely advertising. When they received approval to come into my community, did they say they would only install to some people, and skip others even though the provide service to my neighbors? Didn’t they agree to provide coverage to everyone in order to gain authorization?

GoNetSpeed isn't too bad.
As soon as they completed the fiber build in my area I set up an appointment for the following week. The drop man came out on the 18th and then the technician came out and did a good job installing everything. I haven't had a problem with it so far over the 9 months that I have used their service and I highly recommend their 1 Gigabit symmetrical fiber plan as it is fast enough to handle any of your needs. It seems the reliability is good near the Morgan City area.
GoNetSpeed isn't too bad.

Unavailable in your area
My family has been trying for YEARS to get fiber internet in our area. So you can we were overjoyed when our neighbors down the ROAD got fiber. So we called and got the " Sorry it it's not in your area." spill. I'm sorry but I can stand on my back porch and LOOK AT A RESIDENCE THAT HAS IT. Every neighbor I've talk to wants it. Do we need to start a petition? Is that how we will get noticed?

Not going to use them
These people just sent a man to my house who rang my doorbell and banged over and over again on my front door until I got up to answer it. I'm in my 60s and have severe arthritis and it's very difficult for me to get up but I wanted this strange man to stop banging on my door. My dog was also very upset and was barking like crazy. I put the latch lock on before opening the door as I am all by myself and this was a strange man in a the middle of the afternoon. He talked and talked and talked and when I told him I was keeping Optimum he seemed to get angry. A very embarrassing and frightening situation and because of that I will NEVER use this company no matter how cheap they claim to be.

GoNetspeed did follow through with a repair to my blue stone sidewalk caused by a third party contractor during the initial installation. It took several months but the proper materials were found and installed to my complete 100% satisfaction. Cheers to GoNetSpeed for following through to satisfy this customer. Thanks again.

Just had an installation of GoNetSpeed to my home and could not be happier with the service. The installation was flawless. I notified GoNetSpeed of my special installation requirements and a representative visited my house prior to the installation to assess how to perform the installation. The crew ran the line from the pole to my house in heavy rain and the installer was prompt and able to bring the line into my house with no complication. Service was up quickly and the performance is so much quicker than Comcast; 150 mbps symmetrical (about 50% faster down and 10x going up)! I'm also saving hundreds of dollars per year on my home internet service.

I cannot recommend this service any higher. You will be more than happy not only with the performance of the service, but with the money you are saving on a monthly basis.

GoNetSpeed, love them... I couldn't be happier. They are an amazing company.

The speed is lightning fast.. I love it.
I had issues at the very beginning, my router was not powerful enough to handle their speed. They came by several times to help, even though it had nothing to do with GoNetSpeed, they just wanted me to be happy.

I now have a perfect router. A NightHawk R7000. I love both.
Their customer service is one of the best I've encountered. The staff,
pleasant, patient and very knowledgeable.

Cut the cord, call them you won't be sorry.

Excellent customer service from Albert P. He had so much patience with me despite my being a technoboob. He walked me through problems that had more to do with my router than the gonetspeed service. He understood that to the customer, it doesn't matter where the problem lies - until the problem is resolved, the entire experience is negative. He stayed with it until he could deliver on the gonetspeed promise of lightning fast internet!

Go net speed has been great so far since moving from ***. Cost less and 5 times faster.

Great service so far. We switched from Comcast a few months ago and it has been a considerable improvement in terms of quality of service and price. The download and upload speeds are very
consistent, getting about 145-155 symmetrical. Shortly after starting service I lost all my account information because of an issue with my password manager. Customer service was very helpful and only took about 10-15 minutes before I was able to reset it. While GoNetspeed isn't too widespread yet here, I would definitely recommend them to anyone as an alternative to other ISPs.
On a side note, the job that the Sertex (the installation contractor) tech did on the outside wiring was a little sloppy in terms of cleanup. Some cut cable ties in the garden bed. Not a huge deal but something I thought was worth mentioning. I wouldn't count it against GoNetspeed though.

GoNetSpeed provides a great service, I work from home and rely on my internet all day. The internet has only ever gone out for a few hours and they always get it turned back on right away. I am very happy with the service and the value Go Net Speed provides me.

Great better than ***. Price is awesome. My brother has it and more in my neighborhood are interested. I am glad they finally offered it to our area best part no hidden fees like ***.
