The deposit was refunded back to the customer shortly after they requested it. The request can sometimes take up to 2 weeks to process. We are very sorry for an inconvenience to the customer.
This customer came in to purchase a propane tank over the counter in our parts department and we ordered the tank with the info he had given us. The tank had come in and was not the same dimensions of tank but the correct volume. We then went back to the vendor and they let us know...
that this tank is no longer available for his 1978 Travle Supreme motor home. We can not get this tank any longer so we are having one custom made to get to the closest dimensions on his orignal tank from 1978. This was disclosed it would take roughly 3 weeks from the "vendor".
We apologize for the delay but this is not our fault that they no longer make his propane tank for his aged motor home.. We are doing everthing we can to make this happen for him but the tank is on back order and will not be here in time for his demand of 8/27/14.
The customer has been involved in the communication of his propane tank and issues.
We are still working diligently to work with him and get him handled. Things are always more difficult on working on aged motor homes and trying to get original parts or replacement parts. The motor home is 36 years old and parts are not readily available.
I am working internally on the lack of communication that he has endured.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint I[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and see if the repairs are of the quality one would expect from a dealer such as General RV.

My name is [redacted]. About July 3rd my wife and I bought a 15 foot Hi Lo travel trailer from General RV in [redacted], Michigan which is about 5 hours from our home in [redacted], Ohio... for the purchase price of $5883.95. Included in this was a $444.00 fee for them to go over the trailer and ensure everything worked.
They put in a new battery. We picked the trailer up, and the first time we used it the lights were browning out. The 45 amp AC/DC converter was bad so I had to charge the battery with a battery charger.
I called General RV's North Canton Ohio store which is about 45 minutes from my house, and I talked to Bill S[redacted], the service manager, and explained what happened. He told me to bring it in on a Friday (which I did at no charge), and he would look at it. He had Dave, a service employee, look at it. Dave traced all the wiring and found the problem was a circuit board that went bad. They replaced it after spending over 5 hours on the problem at no charge to me.
I would like to commend Justin W[redacted], the Service Advisor, and Bill S[redacted], the Service Manager, for resolving the whole issue at no charge to me. General RV is a GREAT place to buy a trailer...Our whole experience was wonderful.
