We have had no phone service for serval days now, as well as internet. I have just undergone a very extensive surgery and it has been very scary not having a phone line. This issue has been going on for a long time but seems to be happening much more frequently.
Thank you for referring the complaint of *** to our office for review. We appreciate Mr. bringing this matter to our attention.
The Complaint states that:
Mr. advises his service is not working. Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
Frontier spoke with Mr. on July 19, 2019, and confirmed service is working. Frontier has issued applicable credits for outages on his account.
We trust that this information will assist you in closing this complaint. We apologize for any inconvenience that Mr. has experienced as a result of the above matter.
Internet has been down at our jobsite since July 1st. We called and got an appointment for July 5th between 9am-1pm. No tech showed up, no call. When I called, I was told the hold time was over an hour to speak to a rep. While I was waiting, I got on Twitter and contacted Frontier, and they said it was likely a tech wouldn't make it out, but would be there on Saturday the 6th. At 5pm that day, we got a text saying we were being rescheduled for July 23rd! Since we can't go 3 weeks without internet, we called in again and were told a tech would be there Monday July 8th. No one showed. Again, called in and waited over an hour, and was told a tech would be there Tuesday July 9th. No one showed. Again, called in and waited over an hour, and was told a tech would be there Wednesday July 10th. No one showed.
I called in again at 11am on Wednesday July 10th and was guaranteed by a supervisor (I can provide name, employee number and call ID number), that a tech would be out today, July 10th. Again, no one showed.
I also tried contacting through Facebook messenger service. That was completely useless. They informed me the only appointment they saw in the system was for July 15th (which was escalated from the original reschedule of the 23rd), and refused to do anything to get anyone out sooner.
Even if someone arrives on July 15th (and I have my doubts), that's two full weeks without internet, for a business! Some businesses could go out of business in that time. I can't fathom how Frontier feels that an SLA of 2+ weeks (or 3, originally) for repair is acceptable for a business (or residential for that matter).
They state on their website "Frontier is committed to its customers and providing reliable services", but there is actually no commitment to that.
service restored
Been without internet services for 3 weeks now at my home. Called multiple times they schedule me a technician then cancelled it. Told me to would have a modem in 2 days now they are telling me next week. I ask for a manger and they will not let me speak with them. Asked since internet hasn’t worked in 3 weeks if they could prorate bill and their response was not until it was fixed. So I am pay $100 a month for something I can’t use
Thank you for referring the complaint of Mrs.
*** to our office for review. We appreciate your bringing this
matter to our attention. According to the complaint: Mrs. states she has been without Frontier internet service for an extended amount of time. Frontier has investigated the above statement
and offers the following response:Frontier repair records confirm that trouble was reported on July 8, 2019. After troubleshooting, it was determined that the router would be replaced. The router was received, but only alleviated the trouble for a short period of time. A new trouble ticket has been created with a due date of July 22, 2019. A technical support specialist has committed to follow up until this issue has been resolved. We trust this information will assist you in
closing this complaint. Frontier apologizes for any inconvenience the customer

Terrible scam company. Won't help you if your internet doesn't work. Won't help you with your plan.
Frontier now requires all customers of their DSL service to use their modem and be charge an additional $10/mo. My service was installed 2 days ago, and every step along the way I have made it clear that I did NOT WANT their modem. Frontier and the modems that they use are a security risk waiting to be exploited, they are cheap, and not special, except that their techs can remotely manage and support them for typical users.
The modem accounts for a 37% surcharge on my bill. I have a modem, will be testing it tonight, but requires contacting their tech support due to the dot1x MAB security that they use on their network.
I have been trying to use my own modem and return theirs to avoid the $10 / mo fee and only after the tech left do they disclose that it's not optional, cannot be removed, and this is a recent change to their policies.
One link that I was provided (#1 below), states that they install with their modem, I asked the tech to take it with him and he said to call. I called and was told their systems were down to call back in a couple hours, but that they can't remove the modem fee. I chatted with someone today who echoed the same thing, that it's policy and that "everyone pays it".
I shouldn't be required to pay for a product that is somewhat insecure and isn't required for their service, a standard VDSL. This is the means to add $10 to the monthly fee that isn't disclosed during the sales and ignored if it's made clear to them that I want to use my own.
I didn't receive any "custom" service, which is what their site implies when it states "your service is not exactly like anyone else's". I understand that I'll miss out on "these important customer benefits", that include security vulnerabilities from both the modem and Frontier, subpar firewall protection, and a cheap unit overall.

Thank you for referring the complaint of *** to our office for review. We appreciate Mr. bringing this matter to our attention.
The Complaint states that:
Mr. advises that he should not be required to pay a monthly $10.00 rental fee for a router since he has elected to use his own router. Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
Frontier advises that our Frontier Residential Gateway router is Frontier equipment provided with every service order and specifically designed to work with our service. Our advertising and our residential internet terms and conditions make clear that our service includes equipment charges, such as the router charge, and neither our advertisements nor our terms and conditions provide any exceptions. A customer may choose to use their own router, but if the customer does, our router charge continues to apply. Also, we cannot support or repair the non-Frontier equipment.
Though infrequent, when a customer chooses to use a non-Frontier router, we see increased complaints and more difficulty with troubleshooting, performing online resets, and providing simple resolutions, so it costs more to serve that customer. Therefore, if a customer uses their own router, the charge still applies to cover these costs.
Frontier advises that Mr. was quoted a monthly rate of $37.99 plus taxes and surcharges, and that rate includes the rental fee for the router.
Frontier spoke with Mr. on July 16, 2019 and advised him of the above information.
We trust that this information will assist you in closing this complaint. We regret any inconvenience that Mr. may have experienced as a result of the above matter.
I terminated my internet services on 06/06/2019 and am owe funds of $393.93 from Frontier. I was told that my funds would be mailed to me on the next billing cycle but today I'm told that I will receive a prepaid master card in 60-90 days. That is ridiculous!!! Funds were withdrawn from my account immediately but I have to wait 60-90 days for my own money!!!

*** took over the account in June 2016 which included Vantage Voice
200 and Vantage Internet Ultra. These services have been provided and
billed monthly. The last bill that generated monthly service charges was June 27, 2019. (see Frontier terms and conditions)On July 8, 2019 the customer contacted Frontier to disconnect the account. The

Equipment that is not returned or is received damaged (except for reasonable wear and tear) is subject to a substantial fee. provided an opportunity at the time Mr. took responsibility for
the account in 2016 and each subsequent month with billing statements,
to review and/or change services. There is no record of a request to
change/or remove the phone service that was provided,
therefore no credit is warranted for the account. Additionally, any
unpaid balance will be subject to collections activity. Frontier requires the router to be returned to avoid equipment fees.
Revdex.com:
The document is unreadable, I dont know what the response isBut I can make some assumptions based on the phone call I had with R todayMy response to himThank you for the pleasant and professional phone conversation. It appears we are diametrically opposed in our interpretation of the facts. Only one of us can be correct. Frontiers policy in regards to placing the incumbency upon its customers to verify they are not being taken advantage of is disingenuous at best.It remains my position that a refund is due. We may be in contact for a good deal longer as I have contacted several Attorney Generals, the federal government agencies having jurisdiction, state government agencies having jurisdiction. Looking forward to a continuing conversation. additionally Mr R said best case scenario a $10 per month reduction could have been applied if It was caught in time, which amounts to $600, which is half of what I'm looking for, so i'll take that for now as we discuss the remaining balanceI never used the service. They didn't provide a service. They were not exposed to any liability and therefore a refund of half still leaves them net $600 for providing nothing

Attempting to stop service sonce july 5th. Has not been done yet. Also cancellation of services will include paying for services after that date. Service billing date is from july 4th to august 3rd.
Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
Frontier has placed an order to disconnect Mr.’ service on August 2, 2019.
Frontier advises that prior to termination, Mr. was billed (and thus incurred charges) through the end of his billing cycle. Mr. is eligible to continue receiving Frontier services through the end of that billing cycle.

I recently cancelled my cable with Frontier. I called to get a end date of my billing cycle, so I would not receive another bill. I cancelled a week before the date I was given. I received another bill from them. I called to find out why I received a bill and the customer service agent told me that I actually owed them approximately $34. I was told to throw out the bill and I would get a corrected bill within a week or two. Two weeks later I received a bill for the original amount. Again, I called a customer service agent and was told to throw out the bill that I will receive the correct bill in a few days. Three days later I received a call from a collection agency. When I called Frontier to talk to a supervisor I was told that there weren't any "notes in the system" saying that I called about the bill ( I was told by both agents that they left notes in my file about our conversations) and I owed the whole amount. When I told the supervisor what I was told she said that was not true.
Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
Frontier advises that prior to termination, Mr. was billed (and thus incurred charges) through the end of his billing cycle.
Frontier advises due to consultant error Mr. was advised the billing would be prorated.
Frontier has credited Mr.’s account the unused days of service April 16, 2019 through April 30, 2019.
Frontier advises the final balance due to Frontier is $68.20.
Frontier attempted to reach Mr. to advise of the above but was unsuccessful. Frontier left a message for Mr. that included direct contact information.

I had frontier services and in June, things went wrong. At the beginning of June we had issues with services. When services finally came on, it was on for one day. The next day it was out again. We were told repeatedly that there was an outage and would take 24-48 hours to fix. This went on for almost 2 weeks. They finally said it was an issue that would manually have to be fixed. Then it was disconnected when I cancelled with another provider (*** Network) that uses Frontier. Instead of the cancelling just ***, everything was disconnected. I have been trying, repeatedly to reconnect my service. They did another credit check on 6/28/19. I was set up for service yet again for 7/10/19. They were a no call no show. I was on the phone with them today to get this situation taken care of, when the first representative hung up on me. The next one put me on hold for approximately 20 minutes. The last person, while she did assist the best she could, did not bring a solution, nor did the supervisor. I should not have to have my credit checked because they messed up. I should not have to schedule appointments and that company no call no show. I should not have to wait a month for services I am being charged for and can not use.

individual. According to the complaint:Ms. advises she has experienced issues with having services reinstated. Frontier has investigated the above statements and
offers the following response:Records indicate, Ms.’s services were installed on July 19, 2019 due to delays with the provisioning of her line. Our expectation is that all customers have a positive experience when requesting assistance with installation of service. Dear Sirs,
I am contacting you on behalf of my mother in law, ***, it is her service in question. She is 82 on a fixed income. We wanted to install internet service so we can install monitors (cameras) to watch her in case of a fall. When we looked at her Frontier bill I noticed she is being charged 24.99 per month for hi speed internet. She does NOT have it !!!!!!!!!!!
The original installation order is 59669539 on June 16, 2016. Their installation techs repeatedly did not show. After multiple failed attempts by their techs to show, my wife called and wanted the service cancelled. A cancellation order was created. order number 60353606. I had just spent 2 1/2 hours with Frontier, they confirmed the cancellation order and dates. They also confirmed that the Internet service/equipment was never installed.
It has now been 3 years that she has been charged ( 36 months x 24.99) = $899.64. They say it is their policy to only refund 90 days.
Thank you
Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
Frontier records indicate that a service order was generated to install the internet service.
The account notes do not reflect that the customer called to report having trouble with the service since the installation order.
There are also no notes to request a disconnection of service.
There was a credit issued for (3) months of service which required an executive approval or denial.
The credit of $215.88 has been approved because the consultant agreed to issue credit for 90 days (3 months).
The account currently reflects the above approved credits.
No further credits to this account are warranted.
A service order to disconnect the service has been issued with a due date of July 12, 2019.
We trust that this information will assist you in closing this complaint. We regret any inconvenience that Ms. may have experienced because of the above matter.
My internet service has been out since July 4th, 2019. I have tried calling multiple times over the last few days and have been transferred to a recording that then disconnects me. I have also tried going through their online chat service to no avail. I have requested a technician be sent and they seem to be refusing. My husbands job depends on him having internet as we have no cell service at our house.
Thank you for referring the complaint of *** to our office for review. We appreciate Ms. bringing this matter to our attention.
The Complaint states that:
Ms. has been without internet service since July 4th. Ms. would like her services repaired. Frontier refuses to send out a technician to repair her service. Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:

Frontier technicians reported the outage as cleared on July 16, 2019.
Ms.’s service was reported as still not working after the outage was cleared in the area.
Frontier created a new repair ticket for Ms. and have scheduled a technician with a repair date of July 26, 2019.
Frontier is working with the dispatch office to try to secure a sooner dispatch for Ms..
Credit for $48 has been applied to Ms.’s account for the time out of service.
A Frontier representative has advised Ms. of the above.

Unfair billing practices.
On June 3, 2019 I canceled my internet and cable TV service with Frontier Communications, account no. 442-181-3551-062813-5. On June 8th, I received a bill from Frontier for the billing period of June 1 thru June 30th for $201.32 a full month charge. I called Frontier on June 18,2019 and spoke with Rep. by the name of Michael and asked why I received a full months invoice. He did not know and said he would issue a credit since I only had service from Jun 1st thru the 3rd, even though Frontier did not effectively cancel my service until June 4th. Michael said he was able to issue the credit and that no payment would be due for the month of June. I told him I was happy to pro-rate payment for the 3 days I used their service but he said the system did not allow him to make that adjustment so the full month was credited. On July 4, 2019, I received another bill from Frontier which said I owed a balance of $106.80, which included a credit of $94.52 form the $201.32. On July 8, 2019, I called Frontier billing to ask why I received yet another bill. She said that I still owed the $106.80 for June services and that I shouldn't even have received a credit of 94.52 as it's not there policy to issue credits if you had any service within their billing cycle. I told her this was an unfair billing practice that I was happy to pay for the 3 days that I used their service but it did not adjust to $106.80. 3 days pro-rated is $6.71 per day. I advised her I was a senior so trying to live within a budget. Her final comments were that she could do nothing to assist me or adjust the amount of $106.80, that I would have to pay it since I cancelled during their billing period.

They gave me a confirmation number *** Per there terms. 30 days prior to my auto renewal date of december 23 2018.cancelled my service on june 23 2019 They sent me a bill of 190.67 for early termination fee. When I called there customer service on july 9 2019 spoke with tiffany she told me that number did not mean any thing. All she could do was file a dispute
Thank you for referring the complaint of *** to our office for review, we appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.
According to the complaint, Mr. disputes the ETF final balance of $190.67 and requests that the account be cleared to zero.
Frontier investigated and advises:
Records indicate the customer cancelled service June 25, 2019. The closing statement generated with a balance of 190.67 which includes an Early Termination fee.
On July 30, 2019 Frontier applied credit of $190.67 to clear the balance to zero. This credit will update within 1-2 billing periods.
Frontier contacted the customer and left voice mail to advise of the above.
Frontier apologizes for an inconvenience the above matter has caused and trust this information will assist you in closing this complaint.

Over the past two months, the internet portion of our Frontier service has worked as much as it hasn't worked. We have contacted the company multiple times without getting a straight answer about what the true problem is. We have different customer representatives promise to monitor our service and even call us back to make sure the "issue" is indeed resolved, but no one actually follows through on their promise. When a trouble ticket is created for us, it is usually set for two or more weeks in the future because the technicians are busy.
The Complaint states that:
Mr. advises that he has been experiencing intermittent speed and connectivity issues with his Internet service from Frontier.
Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
Frontier apologizes for the inconvenience this issue has caused.
Frontier advises that Internet service speeds are based upon many factors: including network congestion, customer location, customer equipment, and WiFi network interference. Customer speeds may vary over time.
Frontier has investigated Mr.’s account and has determined that Mr. resides in an area where high Internet usage during peak periods could be affecting Internet service speeds.
Frontier also advises that the available Internet speed depends on the distance from Frontier’s closest facilities. Mr.’s location is 18,000 ft from the nearest Frontier facilities. *Frontier is providing the fastest Internet speed that it can provide at this location at this time.
Frontier advises that a technician was dispatched on July 16, 2019 to investigate Mr.’s internet trouble and advised that tested the access line and found that Internet speeds were within an acceptable range, however Mr.’s service is affected by being in an area of high demand and distance from Frontier’s central office.
Frontier advises that we spoke to Ms. on July 16, 2019 to advise of the above

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID. While I am not 100% satisfied by this resolution, I do understand that there isn't much Frontier can do unless they upgrade their infrastructure.

My Account # ***-5 was cancelled back in March. I kept getting billed. I called back twice to tell them I was still getting billed and I was assured that it was all set. I verified the phone calls were made by their customer service department. I got a letter in the mail saying I was sent into collections. I called today to speak to a boss there and I was told there is nothing that can be done. That I would have to fight it through the collection agency even though Frontier verified I called three times all about cancelling and still getting billed.

I called to cancel my internet through Frontier 1 day into my next months billing cycle and was charged for the full month. Be wary of they’re supposed billing cycle times.
If 0 stars was an option, that's what I would choose. This is the worst company that I've ever dealt with. They lie, postpone and make excuses for every issue. Sometimes we go days without internet. If you call in to customer service, you can expect a wait time of 30 minutes to an hour before you speak to a person. If you can convince them to send out technician, it takes a week to get an appointment. In my previous experiences, the tech only fixes the problem 50% of the time. Then you have to call back and reschedule your appointment and start back at the bottom of their neverending wait list.
My wife, daughter and I have contacted Frontier Communications several times during the last 3 weeks regarding an issue with the telephone line having a constant humming sounds as well as the phone not working. Currently, we have no phone service. The technician has come to our home a few times to inspect the phone line and once they left the photo didn't work. When we call, we have to explain the issue again as if nothing was documented in the system from the previous calls. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service Frontier has provided and the inability to resolve the phone line issues. They are not easy to reach and they don't have email addresses send complaints in writing. To date, a letter was mailed to Frontier explaining the issue and the dissatisfaction with the technical support and service. I desire to have my phone line repaired and my bill credited for the time I did not have service.
Thank you for referring the complaint *** to our office for review. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.
