I cannot say enough good things about [redacted] and his crew. I called them in when my AC condenser stopped pushing cold air; [redacted], the technician, showed up right on time and was both courteous and helpful as he checked out our system. [redacted], the owner, followed up with me personally in my home the next day. I told him we were considering replacing the furnace as well while we were at it, but he said that the furnace was in good shape and that we could hold off on replacing it. He did say that the wiring around the HVAC was a fire hazard but said they would rewire the entire system for us. They came within a week to install the new AC condenser and coil -- again, arriving right on time -- and [redacted] again came to the house himself to make sure the job was done properly. When the team got inside our HVAC, they realized that our furnace was actually corroding on the inside, which was a safety hazard. [redacted] wasted no time heading out to the warehouse that same day to get the right furnace for our house. The entire job was done in a day -- and [redacted] and [redacted] came by the house the next week to follow up. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. [redacted] was willing to work with us on the payment options, and he included a few upgrades at no additional charge. I have already recommended Freon Doctor to friends, and I will absolutely call them to replace our gas logs this fall. They are simply a top-notch operation.
For the over 20 years Freon Doctor, and predecessor names, has been my family’s outstanding sole source of maintenance, repair, replacement, parts manufacture, and assembly of our heating and cooling systems inside and outside. This was for two systems in my home and one in my son’s home. Everything has been superb with multiple installations of many new devices and systems. On a personal level I appreciate Freon Doctor's outstanding support in providing brilliant technical guidance and superior administrative upkeep concerning maintenance of all our home systems. They are a great advisors who has been an astounding positive help to me and my family both personally, economically and with exceptional technical skills. They are always cheerful, engaging, thoughtful, and just extraordinary. Freon Doctor has our highest praise for always being outstanding while giving above and beyond the normal with superb customer service. Well done in ALL regards.

Freon Doctor installed a new Trane HVAC unit in my Alexandria, Va. condo in July 2013. It was a unique-sized unit that [redacted] found and connected at a very competitive price. In fact, it was a better rate than I found elsewhere in Northern Virginia. He and his crew also took time to make sure I knew proper procedures for its operation. When looking for HVAC maintenance, repair, installation or other value-related purposes, I would definitely consider Freon Doctor.
I was very pleased with my recent heat pump replacement with Freon Doctor. [redacted], the owner was very concerned that I understand all my options, repairing the current unit or replacement with a new more efficient unit. The technicians were very knowledgeable and took time to answer all my questions and ensure that I fully understood how to operate and maintain the new system. They did a very neat and clean installation. All floors were covered during the work.

Review: I scheduled an appointment for service on my gas fireplace. They cancelled on me and rescheduled. We agreed on work to be completed in Feb. and they cancelled again on the work date by not showing up then we rescheduled again and they cancelled again. Finally in March they were suppose to come out and I cancelled the work due to lack of responsiveness, no calls, no customer service. They never returned my call about my cancelled service and my refund. I began calling and emailing once a week starting in March. In April I was told I would be getting a refund of my $200 and it took 30 days. In May I was told 60 days and in June I was completely ignored. Finally in the middle of June one of the employees felt so bad that I was getting ignored and disrespected and jerked around he gave me the owners cell phone number. The owner of the business began disrespecting me on the phone and screaming and yelling and told me I would get my refund in the next week. That was over 30 days ago. This is absolutely the worst experience with a business and contractor. The owner still has not responded to one email or phone call.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded as promised in March of 2016 this is July now.

Revdex.com spoke with the owner regarding the complaint who stated he has spoken to the customer and promised the refund, and that the company cuts checks on the 15th of the month, and he will make sure she receives a refund check this month.
I had an amazing experience with Soto from Freondoctor. on Sat. night Aug.20th.I had been without A/C during extreme heat. I had used [redacted] box to save energy and money. Since it was 85 degrees and I'm 80 years l requested that the box be removed, as the heat was not good for my health.The representative from [redacted] saw my red face and said he knew someone who would come out to repair the air conditioner. I called Soto J[redacted] and he worked in the dark to repair my air conditioner.He was very generous with his time for very little cost.
On 7/11/2015, my wife and I had an appointment with the Freon Doctors [redacted]) scheduled between 2 and 4 pm to get an estimate for a whole home generator and installation of ceiling fans. At 4:20 pm I called the company to try and figure out what was going on since no one had shown up and we had not received a phone call. The lady who answered the phone said the companies representatives had been running late all day because of rain. She related she would call them and find out how long they would be. A few minutes later she called back and said the companies representatives would be to our home in about an hour. I told the lady to forget about it. She said but sir they are on the way. I explained if they had called me and explained they were running late I would have understood, but I had other things to do on a Saturday than to sit around waiting. To me this is very unprofessional. Since they knew they were running late, a curtsey call would have been appropriate. Additionally I have to wonder if in reality we were just forgotten about. I would like to speak to an owner or manager about this issue.
Since filing a negative review for Freon Doctor, Inc, we were visited by the business owner. He apologized for the problems that we had, returned what we had paid for the service and assured us that it was not the way they do business. He promised that if we were to experience any further problems that they would fix the problem promptly, with out delay. I feel that they were sincere in their apology and intend to do a better job.
Review: I contracted with the vendor for a heat pump and air handler. It was all spec'ed out with the details of the models. The system combination qualified for the federal tax rebate. The vendor installed only have of the agreed to models and changed the outside heat pump to a lesser model which didn't qualify for the rebate. The original model was written into the final invoice with model number that reflected what was agreed to. This was unknown to me until I received the warranty registration on the system from this vendor which listed the lesser model. I called the [redacted] to complain. He said he would order the agreed to unit and install. That was several weeks ago. I tried calling the [redacted], who BTW was the one who made out the invoice. But had to leave voicemail. He has never called back.Desired Settlement: Replace the lesser model with the one I paid for. The federal rebate is for $300 by itself. If the vendor refuses to replace the unit with the correct model, I will accept $300 rebate + $500 for model cost difference + $200 for fraud and making me have to do this.

Review: I called to have them clean a gas fireplace and give an estimate on why it was not starting. Their estimate involved complete replacement of the gas system. Bottom line was a 717.00 charge. I went ahead and made an initial deposit on the parts and got a second opinion. Turned out it was a 60.00 part that needed replacement, not the entire gas system. I called to cancel the repair and get my deposit for parts back. The owner told me he would do that. Since that time I have received notice in early December that a check was approved and issued but nothing has shown up. I also received a threatening phone call from the owner in mid December where he warned me that he was going to sue me for my customer review and I had to take it down in order to receive a refund. I refused to do that.
I have called multiple times and left messages for a refund but have received nothing from this company.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund from the company. They did no work at all other than to convince me I needed a full system replacement. They did not clean the fireplace but left it dirty and no operable.

Review: My husband and I have dealt with the company [redacted] when they were in [redacted] they since moved their company to [redacted] and are now called [redacted]. Our businessrelationship is that of 15 years. Our A/C unit was failing and we called to have the repair person come out. [redacted] came out on May 20th and we needed6 pounds of refrigerant at $ 360.00 . He said we have a leak and it would be another $ 350.00. My husband signed the agreement for the leak test and paid our check # 12429 for $ 710.00. However after [redacted] left[redacted] and I talked and we have had a [redacted] maintence agreement on our HVAC unit for 7 years so I wanted to give them a callSo I called first thing the next morning to [redacted] and talked to[redacted] their accountant he understood and would have the check not depositedand we could simply mail a check to them for the $ 360.00 for the 6 poundsof refrigerant. But [redacted] said he would talk to [redacted] the Owner of the company to make sure the check had not been deposited. It was and he wrote out a check for $ 350.00 and would give to [redacted] to sign and return.[redacted] agree to this refund back on May 21st. One June 3rd I called [redacted]to ask where our refund was and he said he would put it in the mail thatnight. It is now June 11th and we do not have our refund and at thispoint they are not taking my calls ( caller Id ) nor are they returningmy messages that I have left. My message yesterday was that they werepushing me to another direction at that time another HVAC company But NOWit is to go to Revdex.com for help. We also paid [redacted] $ 300.00 earlierin May for a service contract that would cover the Winter of 2013 and the Spring of 2014. I would like to ask at this time the this money be refunded as well for a total of $ 650.00. After 15 years of service asa good customer I am shocked. I called [redacted] County courts and they said I would need to seek an attorney. We contacted the "Freon Doctor" to conduct a cleaning of our gas fireplace and obtain information on replacing our current gas logs for a more attractive flame presentation. Mr Soto J[redacted] accompanied the team to discuss potential upgrade options. Team did an excellent job in cleaning and servicing our unit and answered all of our questions on potential future upgrade options. I was very impressed with the overall service and they even corrected some of the builder installed improper actions.
After purchasing a vacation home in Mineral, VA, I found the home had a very old central HVAC and an under-performing auxiliary system on the 2nd floor.on the recommendation of my realtor, I called in Freon Doctor. They responded immediately. For a very fair price, the next day I had a new central HVAC system and a properly functioning auxiliary unit. I was so pleased with their service that I have them under contract for the annual maintenance of the two systems in Mineral and the two systems in my main home in Alexandria.
Really fair. Really personable. Really reliable and prompt. Most importantly, they are outstanding AC&R technicians who diagnose and service problems first time every time. They also did an outstanding job of installing two new heat pump units at my house. Backed up the installation with outstanding response to a part failure that was under warranty. You won't lose if you chose these folks for your AC&R needs.
The folks from the Freon Doctor were very professional, honest, and knowledgable. I would highly recommend them to anyone. We had a new system put it, after three bids, we got the best system for the best price, we are very happy!
I called the Freon Doctor to service our gas fireplace that had not been serviced in over 9 years. They showed up right on time and did an excellent job on cleaning and servicing the fireplace. The technician found and repaired a small gas leak, stopped the cold drafts, and replaced the adjustable fan switch that was broken. They also sold us on a remote control and automated fan switch which is controlled by the heat. They have now made our fireplace a much more enjoyable experience. No more cold drafts, no more loud fan noises, and everything controlled from the comfort of our couch. They were a true joy to deal with and they didn't use any high pressure sales tactics. Thanks again for a great experience.
