For the over years Freon Doctor, and predecessor names, has been my family’s outstanding sole source of maintenance, repair, replacement, parts manufacture, and assembly of our heating and cooling systems inside and outside This was for two systems in my home and one in my son’s home Everything has been superb with multiple installations of many new devices and systems On a personal level I appreciate Freon Doctor's outstanding support in providing brilliant technical guidance and superior administrative upkeep concerning maintenance of all our home systems They are a great advisors who has been an astounding positive help to me and my family both personally, economically and with exceptional technical skills They are always cheerful, engaging, thoughtful, and just extraordinary Freon Doctor has our highest praise for always being outstanding while giving above and beyond the with superb customer service Well done in ALL regards
I cannot say enough good things about [redacted] and his crewI called them in when my AC condenser stopped pushing cold air; ***, the technician, showed up right on time and was both courteous and helpful as he checked out our system***, the owner, followed up with me personally in my home the next dayI told him we were considering replacing the furnace as well while we were at it, but he said that the furnace was in good shape and that we could hold off on replacing itHe did say that the wiring around the HVAC was a fire hazard but said they would rewire the entire system for usThey came within a week to install the new AC condenser and coil -- again, arriving right on time -- and [redacted] again came to the house himself to make sure the job was done properlyWhen the team got inside our HVAC, they realized that our furnace was actually corroding on the inside, which was a safety hazard [redacted] wasted no time heading out to the warehouse that same day to get the right furnace for our houseThe entire job was done in a day -- and [redacted] and [redacted] came by the house the next week to follow upI could not be more pleased with the outcome [redacted] was willing to work with us on the payment options, and he included a few upgrades at no additional chargeI have already recommended Freon Doctor to friends, and I will absolutely call them to replace our gas logs this fallThey are simply a top-notch operation
Freon Doctor installed a new Trane HVAC unit in my Alexandria, Vacondo in July It was a unique-sized unit that [redacted] *** found and connected at a very competitive price In fact, it was a better rate than I found elsewhere in Northern Virginia He and his crew also took time to make sure I knew proper procedures for its operation When looking for HVAC maintenance, repair, installation or other value-related purposes, I would definitely consider Freon Doctor
Since filing a negative review for Freon Doctor, Inc, we were visited by the business owner He apologized for the problems that we had, returned what we had paid for the service and assured us that it was not the way they do business He promised that if we were to experience any further problems that they would fix the problem promptly, with out delay I feel that they were sincere in their apology and intend to do a better job
On 7/11/2015, my wife and I had an appointment with the Freon Doctors [redacted] ) scheduled between and pm to get an estimate for a whole home generator and installation of ceiling fans At 4:pm I called the company to try and figure out what was going on since no one had shown up and we had not received a phone call The lady who answered the phone said the companies representatives had been running late all day because of rain She related she would call them and find out how long they would be A few minutes later she called back and said the companies representatives would be to our home in about an hour I told the lady to forget about it She said but sir they are on the way I explained if they had called me and explained they were running late I would have understood, but I had other things to do on a Saturday than to sit around waiting To me this is very unprofessional Since they knew they were running late, a curtsey call would have been appropriate Additionally I have to wonder if in reality we were just forgotten about I would like to speak to an owner or manager about this issue

Revdex.com spoke with the owner regarding the complaint who stated he has spoken to the customer and promised the refund, and that the company cuts checks on the 15th of the month, and he will make sure she receives a refund check this month
The refund was issued and I have provided a copy of the refund with *** tracking information
I had an amazing experience with Soto from Freondoctoron Satnight Aug.20th.I had been without A/C during extreme heatI had used *** ** *** box to save energy and moneySince it was degrees and I'm years l requested that the box be removed, as the heat was not good for my health.The representative from *** saw my red face and said he knew someone who would come out to repair the air conditioner I called Soto J*** and he worked in the dark to repair my air conditioner.He was very generous with his time for very little cost
We contacted the "Freon Doctor" to conduct a cleaning of our gas fireplace and obtain information on replacing our current gas logs for a more attractive flame presentation Mr Soto J*** accompanied the team to discuss potential upgrade options Team did an excellent job in cleaning and servicing our unit and answered all of our questions on potential future upgrade options I was very impressed with the overall service and they even corrected some of the builder installed improper actions
It was apparent within ten minutes of arrival, that the supposed technician had one goal and that was to sell us a new HVAC system.
He enthusiastically pointed out spots of rust on cooling coil mounts and stated it was bad design and fraught with potential failures.
I later [redacted] everything he pointed out as “defects and problems” and find that most of them are considered normal and of no concern as to the unit’s performance or air handling capability. Especially for a unit of only seven years of age in a rather protected area in the back of the home.
The tech found our upstairs unit required a charge of freon. Granted the system has performed a low level of performance for the last five years that I've lived here with my wife who bought the seven year-old home brand new, and I assumed it had not been properly charged when first installed. Yet the tech continued to use the word “leak” when he could not point out a leak anywhere. Even a slow leak would have exhausted that system years ago. The system has operated the same level of performance for these last five years. So who is he kidding?
Oh yes, he wanted to charge me $600 for a leak test to determine if the unit was sound. The next contractor I brought in did it as part of the annual inspection - for free.
The tech quoted an outrageous price per pound for the Freon. $120 a pound which he "discounted" to $90 a pound. My next HVAC contractor brought in charged $57 a pound.
And then when pressed for a price for simple cleaning and recharge, the tally sounded more like a medical
bill where every little action, part, and time was a separate outrageously high charge. Well over $1000. I never did get a final estimate of simply cleaning and charging the unit as various service items seemed to continue to crop up as the tech talked on.
Then the Freon Doctor tech's high pressure was put on to replace the system for "only $4900".
I've now had another HVAC contractor in who cleaned the units, charged the system and charged me $360.
