I was very impressed at the organization of the information on the website, the brochure and instructions on getting started. The customer service was amazing on the chat line and when I called in. It was so easy to sign up!
Lori,
Thank you for choosing Excel High School. We look forward to serving you. Please let us know if you need anything.
I have had my ups and downs with the courses but I have not had an issue with the school. I will be graduating this week.
The adult course is very much like the teen course. I would recommend Excel High School to any adult who wants to actually get a diploma or a ged.
The instructors are easy to get along with and are knowledgeable on the courses
Heather,
Thank you for the valuable feedback. You knew when you started that going back to school would not be easy, but you did it! Congratulations on your graduation. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you. We hope you find great success in your future endeavors and stay in touch!
Excellent program! Everyone has been so supportive, and responsive in our daughters transition. The staff truly care about your child as an individual. Thank you, Excel High School!
Thank you for the kind feedback, Mary. We are honored to serve your family. Thank you for choosing Excel High School and let us know if you need anything.
On August 20, 2018, I enrolled my daughter in Excel. I wanted to make sure everything would be up and ready to go for when we were ready to start. I paid $129 at that time. On September 10, she began her scheduled first day. After digging deeper into the courses, we found this school was not for her. There is no teaching at all and the Techbooks are useless. After one day, my daughter knew the organization of material and ease of work was not for her. I called to cancel and was told I broke the contract. I was never told I signed a contract for the school. I was forced to pay $200 for breaking the "contract." Others need to know of this policy before signing up with this online school. If your school is not effective for students and no work has been done in the course, there should be no penalty. I believe this is fairly common practice at this school. Beware online schoolers. Beware!
@Jeanne-Marie*** Thanks for the feedback. As with all online high schools and colleges, Excel High School offers asynchronous, online courses. Instructors are always available during regular school hours by calling the school. There is a drop fee after 5-days, which is spelled out in the enrollment agreement that all parents must agree to at the time of enrollment. Please review at: http://www.excelhighschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Excel-High-School-Enrollment-Agreement-for-2018-19-Final-August-2018-1.pdf
If you drop within the specified 5-days, there is no fee. Our school programs and policies are located at: http://www.excelhighschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Excel-High-School-Catalog-Final-April-2017-2018.pdf
Lastly, we also have the video instruction that offers more direct instruction. I am not sure if you discussed this option with our staff, but it might have been a great option for your child. I have worked in online education for 20-years. I did a master and doctorate degree program online, and I can tell you that Excel structures our accredited online programs to industry standards that are similar or better than other online schools and colleges.
We actually enrolled in the Christian school, Northgate Academy, which is a part of Excel. Our experience was fantastic. The staff are extremely helpful and kind.
Michelle,
Thank you for your kind review of our school. We really appreciate the opportunity to serve your family.
Best regards and God bless.

Previously, I submitted a review stating that I was very disappointed with this program, after posting that review, I was immediately contacted by a representative offering support and assistance with my course with with Excel High School. I was very pleased with the customer service efforts that were made to support me through this program.
When first enrolling in this program, I was confused as to how I was able to contact my teacher, and was rather lost in the program. I was contacted by a representative who helped my get in contact with an instructor to assist me with my course. While the platform for this program can be a bit confusing for new students, the customer service I received helped me navigate and successfully understand my course material.
When I was contacted, customer service was very kind and willing to work with my schedule to find a time to assist me through this program. I greatly appreciated the time and effort put into helping me navigate my course.
Thank you for the kind feedback, Elisha. We are happy that you got connected with a staff member and received great service. We value our students and wish you every success. Please do not hesitate to contact the school for assistance. We are here to support you.
Wonderful school, compassionate staff, excellent learning. Helping my son get back on track after illness forced him from school for several months. Cannot give a higher rating!!
Thank you for the kind feedback, Amy. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve your family.
Excel High School has not only helped me but also support with my studies and career obligations to study and participate in my athletic career
Thanks for the great feedback, Stefanos. We are so happy to have you as a student. You are making great progress in the classroom and on the tennis court! Keep up the great work!

After looking for several years for an affordable alternative for an accredited online high school we found Excel. Words can not express the amount of love we have for them. I had a ton of questions before we committed and I never felt rushed to make a decision. They wanted to make sure it was a good fit for us. I loved that I didn't call some national call center and no one came after me with phone calls or filling my Inbox with SPAM. Once we started the program we found that the non-honors curriculum was not a good fit for my son and that we needed the honors track. They worked with us (and still continue to do so) to make sure that they made it work for my son and that he was set up for success in the program. As a former educator, I am impressed with the curriculum. It's tough but not impossible but encourages good study skills along the way. I feel that this will prepare him for his college career. Excel and it's staff are an amazing option for those needing or choosing to homeschool and looking for a secular curriculum. So thankful for everything!
Dear Meggin,
Thank you for the very kind words. The Staff at Excel works very hard to provide exceptional service to our families. Most of the staff at Excel also have (or had) high school age students of our own. We understand the importance of a successful high school experience for your child. It is a privilege for us to serve Bryce as he works toward high school graduation. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your family. We are at your service, so call the school office anytime that you need support.

My Daughter was enrolled for a year with the school, she passed everything except Algebra, Ahe always communicated with her teachers, After a year it was time for her to return back to public school (12th) grade she should only have to algebra and foreign language to pass. The school told my daughter she has 2 attempts on her finals, they claim she only took her first attempt, but I witness her 2nd attempt and she passed. They did not include her second attempt score they posted her failing grade instead of her passing grade. Now after I ask them where is her second attempt they tell me they have new employees and the new employees did not know to check for second attempt score. No one offer to correct it so I paid 1200 dollars for nothing and they have poor Customer Service, they made a mistake and not willing to correct it
Thank you for the communication of 03/27/2018 regarding ***. I have reviewed the student file with the school Director and am providing details below.
We appreciate your communication and offer the following perspective in good faith, as an accredited school, and as a Revdex.com accredited A+ business.
*** enrolled at Excel High School as a full-time student and is bound to the terms and conditions as outlined in the enrollment contract and school catalog. Both documents can be reviewed at: http://www.excelhighschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Excel-High-School-Catalog-2017-18-FINAL.pdf
Ms. asserts that her daughter, ***, passed all courses except for Algebra II, but this statement is incorrect.
*** did not pass Algebra II. The student failed the final exam on both attempts.
*** did not pass US History. Her grade for the final exam was 35%.
*** did not pass Chemistry. Her grade for the final exam was 30%.
*** did pass Introduction to Technology and was issued 1-credit.
*** did pass English 11 and was issued credit 1-credit
As covered in the school catalog and in the course rubric:
Important reminder concerning unit end quiz and final exam policies:
In order for a credit to be earned for a course, the overall course grade must be 60% or higher AND the Final Exam must be passed with a 60% or higher.
I am including screenshots of the final exams and the number of attempts taken by the student as proof of what is contained in the student’s record. *** did not pass the three courses in question, and according to standards, we are unable to issue credit. *** is welcome to return to Excel High School, re-enroll in these courses and attempt to complete and pass the failed courses. *Standard tuition enrollment fees would apply.
Regarding customer service, I have reviewed the call logs for the file. Our staff had over 30-communications with the student/parent. The records revealed that Excel provided excellent customer service. The only time there is a problem is when the student/parent was informed of past due payments and the failed courses. I know it can be disappointing when a student does not pass a course, but as an accredited school, EHS must follow policies and standards. Our position is that we provided excellent service as promised.
Concerning the request for a refund, in accordance with the school refund policy, Excel High School does not issue a refund in the case where a student does not pass a course. The refund policy is located on page 22 of the school catalog and is also included in the enrollment agreement contract.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide further information regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
Rod ***, MBA

I took my test over a a year ago and I was trying to enroll in college so I decided to call the school back because I had received no kind of information from the school about if I had passed or failed so the guy told me that he would have the vice-president to give me a call back because she was the one who sent out the email okay Friday on the 23rd when she returned my call I informed her the reason I was calling and she pacifically stated then and there I will contact the video people who does the recordings and get back to you on Monday but I want to also notify you that there will be no overturn in the process the process whatever it states it states I recorded this and I have the recording behind this so when she calls me on Monday she informs me that the recordings has came in and that she can play them back form call got disconnected I call back and I inform her that she already stated to me on Friday that there will be no overtime so why is she calling me on Monday the lady vice president shall I say is very rude and very unprofessional this is not a school you want to attend and for the more I do not even know if they even have proof because as she stated whether it was proof or not nothing was going to be returned so I would not recommend anyone to go to the school
This student was terminated from Excel High School due to cheating on the final exams. EHS uses video/audio proctoring software and takes academic integrity very seriously. We dealt with this student in very professional manner. The academic integrity policy is located on page 23 of the school catalog, which clearly states that students caught cheating will be removed from the school. It is unfortunate that this student chose not to follow school policies regarding cheating that resulted in her enrollment being terminated.
Fantastic and affordable option to a private accredited high school education.
Thank you for the kind feedback, Rinni. At Excel High School, we value our students and work hard to ensure great service.
I always wanted to finish my high school diploma but I did not want to sit in a classroom with other adults trying to get my GED. In addition I did not have time to do the classroom setting either. I was in the car one day and there was a program on talking about the school and a few days later I looked the school up and it sounded real and legit so I signed up and paid my 89.00. I was able to get started the next day and then when I debt by transcripts they adjusted my classes to support the credits I was missing which was only about 5. I was able to go at my own pace but I was dedicated I got done with all my class work within 2 months so I ended up paying in total a little under $200. I got my diploma and my official transcripts in mail and then I was able to enroll in college. I am so happy and proud of myself and the school as well. They were very supportive and allowed me to go as fast or as slow as I wanted to. Now I can actually say I have a High School Diploma and not a GED. I never thought I would see the day but Excel High School made it all worth it. Thank you Excel and anyone out there looking to get their diploma then look no further.
Thank you for the kind feedback, Danielle. Congratulations on your accomplishment and thank you for choosing Excel High School. Stay in touch!
This was a great way for my daughter to finish up high school after she had several concussions. She could work when she was able, rather than having to get up early for school. Everything was clear, well written and the staff could not have been more helpful
