I have already discussed our position in regard to this matter in my previous email I will consider this matter closed at this point as we have handled the matter according to our financial policy

We have stated our position in regard to the complaint I am sorry that you feel that you had a bad experience at our facility

Ms [redacted] , I am sorry for your experience with the billing from your visit to our facility EmergencyMD is committed to processing your refund in a timely manner At this time, I have spoken with our billing company and Renee to inquire as to the status of your refund I did want you to know that there can sometimes be a delay in the processing of your visit to our facility as some it takes the insurance company time to generate an EOB (explanation of benefits), which explains what you are responsible to pay for your visit After speaking with the billing company the first EOB that was generated by [redacted] was incorrect and needed to be resubmitted This was recently completed correctly and therefore your refund will be processed ASAP Our refunds are processed by our billing company and should be sent out in a timely manner The billing company has assured me that this will be processed shortly

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint I was never informed that I was signing any type of a consent to allow a business entity to withdraw funds from my account without my knowledgeThis is a major issue, especially in medical facilities where a patient stands on one side of the counter with a blank signing box it has only been told something verbally from the opposite side without actually seeing documentationI was advised I was signing a HIPPA acknowledgment, authorization for the insurance to pay, and consent for treatmentI would not knowingly sign any document allowing someone to take funds from my bank account at all or whimAlso, two employees at the facility both read back the phone number that they had on file which was not my number, so there would not have been any voicemails or telephone conversations from emergency MD to myselfThe only correspondence I received was an initial bill which I attempted to pay and was told to disregard because it apparently had been sent Prior to the insurance making payments Perhaps emergency MD should be more diligent in there hiring and training process of their employees to provide correct information to clienthey did, this situation could have been avoidedIt is ridiculous to think that I would try to shirk a bill for $when I have a $deductible and coinsurance with my insurance company which I had met before half of the year had already expiredIt is also very unprofessional for the company to fail to return phone calls and emails when I had reached out to try to resolve the issue and never even got the common courtesy of their manager to contact me when I most assuredly left them my correct number TWICEExtremely unacceptable and will tell everyone I know not to utilize their services for the lack of professionalism and failure to provide adequate customer service Regards, L [redacted] C [redacted]

We checked with the billing company and the claim has still not been adjudicated I have told them to expedite this immediately as the mother has been waiting for months for a refund They had no explanation for the delay

I don't have documents of bills they have sent meBilling called me last week and stated my account was going to collections and to stop that from happening a minimum of $10 was requiredI put down $20 as you can see on my bank statementFriday emergency Md took out $595 and stated she saw my account going to collections so to keep that from happening she paid my bill with my own money that was never authorizedHow could she do that if I paid to keep it from going to collectionsAnd even if it did go to collections that is no longer her problemThat's stealing my moneyI have went since Friday with literally no money and I have a year old that I take care of aloneMy mom called emergency Md Sunday and one of the employees told her that the manager and owner authorized that payment someone should be held accountable for this

MrH***, Thank you for your email! I have looked into the matter and wanted to give you a timeline of where this matter currently stands You were seen in our clinic on 12/10/ On 1/12/*** *** processed the claim for your visit At that time, it was
deemed that you were owed a refund per the adjudication of your claim Our contract with *** *** mandated that we issue a refund within days of the adjudication of the claim At EmergencyMD, we strive to return refunds in a timely manner and our billing company is working thru the refunds list as quickly as possible A refund should be issued on your claim soon, but per the *** contract a refund must be processed as of 4/12/ Thank you for your understanding in this matter and you will receive your refund shortly. EmergencyMD

We have reviewed the complaint filed by MrsC***I have reviewed the patient's chart I do not see any encounter about the patient being told to disregard a bill for $MrsC*** signed a financial agreement with EmergencyMD when she sought care with us on 6/22/This agreement states
that EmergencyMD will charge the remaining balance of her visit should the payment be days past dueMrsC*** was mailed a bill for $on 7/31/17, 9/12/17, and 10/24/which stated it was the final noticeShe was also called on 2/22/to be made aware that she still had an outstanding balanceMrsC*** has made no attempt to contact us to resolve the matterTherefore based on the financial agreement signed by MrsC*** we charged her card the balance of $since her account was more than days past due

Ms B***,We had significantly reduced your bill after speaking to you in person last week You should have received a significant refund from the original billed charge The amount that we charged you for your visit was just enough to cover our costs of your treatment I consider
this case closed and would ask for you to stop the libel that you have portrayed to the Revdex.com

This matter has been investigated by the administration of EmergencyMD, which included speaking with all employees at work that day on an individual basis to hear their story of what transpired during this event Based on our investigation we have concluded the appropriate actions were taken
The bill is secondary to the fact that you were seen and evaluated by a physician and which is usually the significant charge on a patients bill Due to your insurance, we charged you based on your visit The billing company will submit the claim for processing and if a refund is due, they will apply it as soon as the claim is adjudicated Thank you!

There was no true evaluation because all they did was take my blood pressure and threaten my husband. They wouldn,t even give us the name of the supposed doctor.
