Elite Towing and Recovery Reviews (42)

Once again, the vehicle was put on supplemental dollies, the vehicle never rolled on its drive tires whatsoever in towThere would be no reason whatsoever for the tow company to touch the item that you are explainingThere is no feasible explanation of what the tow company would even need to touch this item describedThe dollies are used in the case that the vehicles drive tires will not roll freely, in your case your vehicle was backed in and it is a rear wheel drive, so the dollies are placed while the vehicle is in its spot and the vehicle is lifted off the groundThe vehicle is transported on these dollies (in this case less than 3/of a mile) and the tires do not touch the ground until the vehicle is parked on the storage facility and the dollies are released letting the vehicle downThis vehicle drove for you not one but two days without incidentIf this part was broken, it would not have shifted into gear at the facility nor when you went to work in the vehicleI have made this as clear as I possibly can that in no way have we touched or even needed to touch this itemParts break on vehicles, they wear out over time even on new vehicles and if we had anything to do with this, we would accept responsibility, but we did not cause this to happenI appreciate that you maintain oil changes on your vehicle and keep up with its maintenance, however things do breakWe took the proper steps in towing your vehicle and did not cause the damage you are claimingKS

Complaint receivedThe following information is necessary to proceed.Vehicle make, model, License Plate and Complete VIN.Date and Time of TowRegistered Owner of Vehicle Name and Property name. All of this information is located on both receipts given at vehicle pick up

All of these statements are untruePictures were given to the insurance company and there was full compliance with all communications. We have still not received an answer from the dealership on their facts and findingsThe vehicle was towed on supplemental dollies from thepoint is was picked
up to our facilityIf any of these statements were true, we would be in violation of our agreement with our insurance companyand they would then in turn drop usThere was no debacle, as a matter of fact to this day no one has answered how this happened on a dollied vehicle. We did also pay the $to the dealership and have since hired an attorneyThis dealership has been given plenty of time to explain their findings and have not as of yet. This is simply another attempt to slander our name by any means necessaryA lack of knowledge on behalf of the dealership and adjuster is the main issue. It is retaliation plain and simpleWhen people cannot accept responsibility for parking where they should not they will go to any length necessary to make the towing company look bad and unfortunately the insurance companies have no idea eitherBetter educated adjusters and technicians would be great, and a really good explanation is due to us. Just a side note, this vehicle was picked up from our yard and driven with no issues until suddenly the next day in the late afternoonIf something had actually been caused by us it would not take that long to notice

I will look into the matter. Thank you for the information. [redacted]

This vehicle was towed for parking in a Handicap. Pictures were taken of the vehicle prior to our tow truck touching this vehicle. Ms. [redacted] refuses to accept that this damage already existed. We go to great lengths to circumvent fraudulent claims by taking pictures of the vehicles we tow. When it...

was explained to her her response was that she works in insurance and she will have [redacted] subrogate with the Elite. my insurance company is dealing with this and it will be up to the claims department to give the final say.towing companies are often the victims fraudulent claims. judging by the amount that she is looking for does not seem that she wants her carpet it seems that she would like to benefit financially. It is my solid stance that we did stop causing damage to this vehicleand we will let the insurance handle it. this is not been a matter of poor customer service this is a matter of me not telling the customer what she wants to hear. unfortunately she has decided to file a complaint against our company, but sometimes that's how people feel justified after being towed.

As explained to the consumer as soon as we received notification from our processor we would refund these charges as a gratis. I think it is important to understand that the customer immediately filed a charge back after claiming his vehicle and there is a process that happens when someone does this, an investigation. The funds are put on hold and not released until that investigation is over. As a business owner, I am protecting my interests in not paying the customer if the money was never really paid to us in the first place. We have not done anything wrong, the vehicle was towed legally and payment was taken for that. The customer made a decision to stop payment on these charges and has caused this unnecessary wait for the gratis refund. I have still not received a formal notification that this has been concluded by my processor. I will give them a call to see if this letter can be expedited tomorrow so this matter can be resolved. If it is all clear, I will forward on the payment via certified mail to the address we have from the customers vehicle registration. **

I am rejecting this response because:Once again I dont know what was done to my vehicle while it was not in my possession and it was not two days that went by before the part loosened it was almost two in the morning the day of and I get regular maintenance on my vehicle for my benefit and when parts are broken I repair them as I know that things break. This incident I dont feel that it just broke so therefore I firmly believe that it was caused in transport. I wouldn't waste this much time and energy if I felt like the part just broke at no fault to your company therefore I plan on disputing it.

Signs are posted in compliance with regulations at the entrance that are affixed to the gate clearly posted as you enter the property. There are two tow signs that clearly state who can and cannot park on the property. By law only one is necessary, however this property has two, one on top of...

another (tandem). Towing is enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for vehicles that do not comply with the property rules. The one tow sign specifically states that visitors are to park in marked visitor spaces, and there are clearly marked visitor spaces on the property painted on the ground. Regardless of whether you are parked for one minute or one day the vehicle is subject to be towed. There is nothing predatory about our practice. We monitor the parking lot for violations per our contract and take photos of every vehicle in violation prior to towing and after the vehicle has been towed to our facility. We have several pictures of this particular vehicle in question in violation and also time stamped picture evidence that the signs were erected and in place at the time of the tow. This tow took place because the vehicle was parked in the resident parking area without a permit and was not in a visitor space. We will not be refunding any money as we acted within the guidelines of our contract and the law.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have everything documented with my insurance company and the dealership about your apparent compliance. I did not call 24 hours later. I called the next early afternoon and was cursed at and hung up on. My car was stuck at the shop for almost an entire month because the tow company was dodging calls. I even had a lengthy conversation with [redacted] (THEIR adjuster) explaining to me that the tow company is refusing to pay THEIR deductible, after it was proved by their own insurance company that my transfer case was broken due to improper towing and she even tried to ask ME to pay it FOR them! I refuse to argue through the Internet any further. I am requesting to be contacted by phone from the Revdex.com for any further discussion on this matter.

We have acted as we are supposed to. My insurance company information is available if requested. The only issue at hand is that I am refusing to pay for damage to a vehicle we did not cause. The answers I have given are not the answers that the customer wants to hear. We took pictures of the vehicle, we did our job and the facts have been handed to the insurance company who will make the ultimate determination. Again, the business we are in unfortunately we are the ones to receive feedback that is not so kind, however our track record speaks for itself. We do not gauge our business on online reviews, we deal in facts only. I will be happy to also answer the TDLR questions and any complaints as we have followed proper procedure.

I am rejecting this response because: they illegal towed my vehicle off the apartment complex and it was considered stolen. The owner has settled dispute by given me my my money back but I will sue this company if it happen again that is a promise

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:There was nothing wrong with me being able to shift my gears before my vehicle was towed regardless of how old my vehicle is I get schelduled maintenance and oil changes regularly. If there was an issue prior to it being towed I wouldn't be pursuing this issue. Because I was able to drive my vehicle to work makes me further believe that the cable that is now detached was reattached upon it getting to their pound which would in turn let me put it in gear until it fell off again. Im not asking for any compensation I just would like to have the part that was broken to be repaired and replaced.

In order to respond I need to know what year, make and model vehicle you are operating that was impounded as well as the property the vehicle was impounded from. The time you were at y y e storage facility will also help. It is posted at the facility that vehicles release with one hour...

notification, meaning you are to give the storage facility an hour notice that you are coming. I cannot speak of the details of your particular phone call, however I do know the dispatcher will ask if a person is coming now, in order to stop them and advise of the notice procedure. We have a legal process, paperwork, impound, invejtory, authority reporting that have to be done, that is why it is an hour notice. PPlease resond with information so I can gather details of why you were towed. TThank you

What kind of vehicle is this? In order to respond, I need details. Specifically the Stock number on your receipts which starts with a [redacted]

Our insurance company is handling this matter currently, if we are found liable they will cover charges for repair.

I am rejecting this response because:it was illegal tow by the law of Texas so this company can be sued under the law 5 times the amount of the tow .you can not legally  tow a car over the line at any apartment  complex and as I stated  again  if it happen again I will sue this company.  That's a promise!!!.. I  have copy of Texas law that tow can tow.. you can not tow so I will let all customers know the the under hand crooks this towing company represents
