I received a parking ticket on Jul *** 11:22 am. I had read that there were free parking lots for clients who used the building. There were some available stalls when I arrived (which would have been a few minutes before 11:22 am). After parking, I visited the store (I have receipts for 11:22 am & 11:28 am) in the building. Upon completing my last transaction, I returned to my car and was surprised to find a parking ticket. It seems that out of all the spots to pick from, I had unknowingly parked in a permit only spot.

I emailed to dispute the ticket as soon as I returned home requesting that the fine be waived as it was an honest mistake and I would have parked in any of the other spots had I known. (Seriously, would you park in a permit spot when there are other spots available close by?). The first response, I was told that "the amount of time and whom you visited at that time is irrelevant". A second response told me "There is no need for further communication". Terrible customer service and the responses were not helpful at all.

This isn't a parking lot, it's a scam. This company purposefully make their garage look like a public parking lot, obscuring the payment method an information as much as they can.

When the unsuspecting person parks here, rightfully thinking it's public, they get hit with a $45 ticket out of the blue.

This should be illegal.

On Saturday, May 19, 2018, I parked in the Diamond lot at *** in Seattle (location # ***) for the fifth time in the past 12 months. I paid for the parking via the Call to Park app for which I have a receipt, found in the app, along with my credit card payment for the same amount. Upon returning to my car there was no parking "ticket" to be found on my car. On Friday, June 22, 2018 I received a letter from Diamond Parking Services LLC, Seattle and their Collections Department. The letter stated I had not paid for parking in advance. The letter was demanding a Parking Notice Fee of $43 and an Additional Late Charge of $30 for a total of $73.00, due on 07/05/2018. I never received an original notice indicating I had not paid for the parking.
I am going to engage with them on Monday because I paid for the parking, up-front, and as far as I am concerned they are attempting to scam me. I have seen similar issues documented online and cannot believe that the Revdex.com, city and state allow this company to continue with these practices.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience in our parking lot in the Queen Anne area on May 19th.
I was able to locate your call to park payment. It appears as if your license plate number was recorded as beginning with the letter O in the call to park system whereas the actual license begins with the number 0 (zero) which was the reason you received a parking notice. Because I was able to verify the payment, I have voided the Parking Notice and you will not be responsible for any payments.
You can easily edit your license plate information by going to www.calltopark.com or by using the call to park app and selecting menu - my account - vehicles. I would suggest you edit the license plate information soon to avoid any further confusion. The call to park enforcement software sorts the plates alphanumerically, which is why the employee was unable to find your vehicle being listed as having paid for parking.
I am not certain why the parking owed envelope was not found on your windshield, but thankfully the payment reminder letter reached you so that we were able to correct the situation.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any more advice or questions as we love hearing from our customers. Look forward to seeing you on our lots in the future!

received a ticket for a "walk off" at a free *** parking lot WHILE inside the ***. I emailed to dispute the tickets and they refused to even review it. the customer service for the company is ridiculously bad. they literally told me to not contact them any further.

worst ever customer service. I paid $25 for 5 hours parking stall, and that was the maximum on the machine to pay. I could not pay more than 8:00pm on the machine. I returned by 8:30 and they gave me a ticket for $110 and they don't even want to listen to explanation that your machine do not take over 8:00pm. If I could pay , then I would, but that was your maximum and I paid for the maximum amount.

First of all, your machine act like it is up to 8:00 pm as the maximum per day. Means if I paid until 8:00pm then it's free or included after that. I even vent back to the same location and you have a flat rate on that location from 6:00pm. means it is not even hourly rate after 6:00pm. and I already paid until 8:00pm.

I am expecting that ticket to get canceled because it is not fair at all. You machine timing is confusing if its 24h parking.

Also, I checked your mobile app as well. you are charging a higher rate on the mobile app. how do you expect people to pay by mobile app, when your rate is higher on that platform?

obviously, your systems, pricing, and schedules are not synced and is a big mess. You force me and other people to pay for your unorganized and bad management organization.

FIX YOU SYSTEMS or dot NOT blame people for you broken system

Attending a medical conference in Coeur d'Alene, ID from out of state. On the last night I attended a sponsor hosted outing. I prepaid $4 for 4 hours of parking and placed receipt on dashboard. I returned to my car after the outing to find that 16 minutes after the 4 hour time expired a ticket for $20 was placed on my windshield. Is there no distinction or difference in the ticket amount between someone that prepaid for parking but was minutes overdue versus someone that did not pay at all for parking? This $20 ticket amount is abusive! This lot is huge and when I returned to my car there were plenty of open stalls to park. This parking experience leaves a bad mark on Coeur d'Alene and its conference business.

Very unhelpful staff and customer service. Reference number XXXXXXXX, I went with my friend from overseas to *** on Robson Street and parked at their parking. Parking sign clearly says 2 hours parking, and occupant of the car must not leave the property. I went up to the *** in *** to do some work while my friend went out for a walk. After she came back, we made some purchases at *** and went back to the car. We found a ticket on our dashboard. I tried to email Mary from the company and all she says was you have left the property and the ticket is valid. Without any proof of us leaving the property at all, shouldn't they have enough proof before accusing a customer?

Customer Response • May 07, 2018

I went to Safeway and explained my situation, they were able to help me waive this ticket. I just think the staff of diamond parking should have more training on customer service.

In March I received an overdue parking ticket notice for a car I had traded in last September to *** in Arlington. I wrote them with that information and the dealership called the company on it. A few days ago, I received a second notice like nothing had happened, so I called and nice guy named Stewart responded. He said they had no such information from me or the dealership. However, someone would call me back. Since then I have posted the information on *** and received a number of folks who had a nightmare of time trying to deal with Diamond for sending dunning notifications on cars that they had sold previously. They seem to be relying on old motor vehicle registration information at the state level and do not update that information when you send them a letter noting the change of ownership, or have the dealership call them. Begging for legislation to handle this? Apparently so, at least this State Legislator is beginning to think so.

Such a terrible unhelpful customer service, as well as the most unreasonable response emails I have ever gotten. I parked at the *** plaza to buy some groceries. I parked at the lot that indicated customer parking only. While I was planning to do shopping *** it was located only a couple meters from where I parked. When I return, I receive a ticket indicated I had left the *** plaza. I receive the ticket and intended to dispute it with the receipt I had just gotten from ***. After trading several emails and providing sufficent amount of proof I was a customer of the parkade, the customer service representative responds with "Thank you for your email. Please be advised that this is a valid notice and we are not in a position to cancel. Payments can be made on-line *** or you may call our office ***. If you would like to send a cheque or money order, please mail to Diamond Parking Ltd., ***. When I asked them for any proof to the fact that either I left the parade or parked even in your area, that's the response I got. I am terribly unsatisfied with the unhelpful service and explanation you guys provide.

I parked on the lot on 137b St in Surrey. As I entered the parking lot from 137b st which has city
of Surrey parking and the Diamond lot is also on 137b st , I did not see any sign that it's a private parking lot and not city's when entering . Also the nearest Paystation in sight was Surrey city and I didn't see any diamond parking pay station where I parked . There was no mention on the stall also that it was a private stall and not of city of Surrey. That's why I made payment to city of Surrey pay station at 137b St. How could I possibly know that this is a diamond parking lot when entering from 137b st without any signage ?
?

I have already sent an email and raised the issue at [email protected] . Please look into the issue.Had my intention not to pay , why would I pay at Surrey City paystation ?

Thanks a lot.

This one time I went to Seattle and I parked my car in a parking lot without a name and it had the paying machine in front of the parking lot. I read the info on the paying machine and it said city of Seattle. I paid for the ticket and displayed it on my dashboard. When I came back, there was a Diamond notice to pay $40 or if you fail to pay you will end up paying $70. I emailed them and explained there had been a mistake and I already paid for the parking. They refused to accept what I said even though I emailed them the pictures of the parking ticket I paid for. I never had any parking ticket before and I had no idea the parking lot belongs to Diamond Parking. I think on purpose they did not put a name on the parking lot so people can park there and they charge them. I will not pay the parking notice because I already made a paying towards parking and it is not fair for me to pay more. They should put a name on the parking lot. I am frustrated and if I see someone park in Diamond parking, I will tell them not to because it is not a good company and this is not a good way to run the business.

Revdex.com,
We have had the opportunity to review the customer’s feedback regarding her experience at one of our parking lots. We have also reviewed notes from conversations between the customer and our Parking Services team after she received the Diamond Parking notice. It appears as if there was a bit of confusion between two closely located parking locations, one being a Diamond Parking lot and the other, a City of Seattle parking meter.
On Saturday, February 10th, the customer parked in a lot on Westlake where we provide paid parking on evenings and weekends. The customer mistakenly used the City of Seattle parking meter to pay for parking, located on the opposite end of the sidewalk from where she parked. She was given a Parking Notice for No Advanced Payment because there was no record of payment with Pay By Phone, the only payment option at the Diamond Parking location.
Per our notes, the customer called our Parking Services team on February 16th, who explained that she had not paid for parking in the lot that she parked but rather paid the City of Seattle. Because of the confusion between the two pay options, the representative offered to reduce the amount due from $43 for No Advanced Payment to what should have been paid ($6.44 after taxes and fees). The customers next communication was via email on February 23rd indicating that she would not be making payments for parking owed because she had already paid the City of Seattle.
Because this is the customers first Parking Notice with Diamond Parking and it does not appear that she tried to evade paying for parking, we have voided out the Parking Notice and she will not be responsible for any payments. We will also review the signs posted at the parking location where the customer parked and will assess the need for additional signage to ensure this location does not provide for any more confusion to future parking customers.
We would love to offer her the opportunity to park in our lots in the future when she visits Seattle or the other cities in which we offer parking solutions.
Thanks,
Paul M Operations Manager

I parked at the *** on *** ...the sign says " member and guest parking only ..parking is for *** and members . Max 3 hours ....well while I was in the *** I got a ticket on my truck . I disputed this by email , I was told I was not displaying payment . The sign clearly states FREE 3 HOURS " for *** and guests . .. Nowhere does it say you need to display a parking pass LOOK AT YOUR SIGN !!! ....GO READ IT AND TELL ME WHAT IT SAYS !......i'am not done with this

I parked at the west 4th *** parking lot and used the ***. They did not have what I wanted, so I returned to my car and left. Several weeks later received a $115.50 second notice for parking violation! First, I was within the timelines specified to park there while using the facilities, second, I did not receive a ticket, and thrid no first notice.

When I called to have this rectified, apparently the officer saw me leave my vehicle and walk across the street. *** but I most definitely did not leave the premises. This is now being sent to collections. I will not be paying this ticket

I received a letter on the mail claiming I owed them $ 115.50 because I parked at a parking spot in a facility operated by Diamond Parking Lot and a payment notice was left on my vehicle. I *** the location and I realized I have never been there. I asked for proof and I received an e-mail showing they made a mistake because my licence plate was similar to someone else. For 2 days, I had to worry about it causing me anxiety and headache. They should not be able to get my house address and my information. I am sure, my information is save somewhere on their server. They must find a another way do enforcement.

On Jan 26, 2018, I was having lunch with my *** mother. My car has a disability permit but there weren't any disabled parking available at the time. So we look for a parking spot closest to the restaurant. There were 3 spots of equal sizes available, 2 were clearly marked "DPS Loading Zone 15 mins" on the curb, and the one in the middle didn't have any markings. So I parked in the middle where there is no marking on the curb.

Upon return from lunch, I found a ticket on my windshield for "Unauthorized Parking, Vehicle parked in Loading Zone." The price of this $73.50 if paid within 10 days, and $115.50 if paid after 10 days. I called 604-681-8797 right away and tried to explain my case, because of 2 reasons. First, my spot NOT have a Loading Zone marking. Second, there are multiple white lines painted and repainted over on the ground (it looks like the stall was split and divided up who knows when) ***. The first person I spoke to (Agent# 206) said "I was wrong and she knew what she was talking about" and told me "no manager was available to speak to me and hung up the phone." I called back, she then said "I" got disconnected, and now a Manager is available. The Manager I spoke to also didn't care what I have to say. I told her I'm trying to explain what happened and I could provide pictures. She said: "We are not here to convince people to pay their fines." She is also very rude and unhelpful as I was just at the explanation stage.

Next, the driver beside me also got a ticket, but her spot was actually marked as Loading Zone. She approached the Patroller (Officer# 98) and was chatting with him. I went along and tapped the shoulder of the Patroller and right away he said: "Don't touch me." He was also very confrontational and unruly. I tried to explain to him the confusion in the parking spot and he won't listen. *** When I tried to take photos, he tried to grab the phone from me and said: "You want trouble, I will give you trouble, and he will tow my car." *** Nonetheless, I took pictures of all 3 parking park spots, showing spots around me that have the "DPS Loading Zone" markings on the curb and that mine doesn't. I also have pictures showing the various repainted white lines that is confusing to drivers and that all 3 parking spots are equal in size. In addition, I have a video of the Patroller trying to grab my phone.

I was told they will not be reviewing my case or looking at my pictures because the Patroller called in and claimed I was "combative." This is got to be the most amusing lunch I've ever had. So is this how they take your money?

Thank you for responding, Jason. The following has been forwarded to the email address you provided including Ref#, photos, and a video of the *** Patroler #98 of Richmond BC who was following me around, uttering threats, and trying to grab my phone

"Good Day Jason,

Thanks for responding. Payment notice Reference is ***. As per your request, I have attached photos of the parking stall in question, as well as a video of the *** Patroller trying to grab my phone when I was taking pictures of the lot. Your Patroller followed me around, got very close to me behind my shoulders, and said to me: "This is our lot and you're not allowed to take pictures. If you want trouble, I will give you trouble." He then approached my car and started taking pictures of my car with his phone and pointed at my 90 year old Mother who was sitting inside. Later he threatened to tow my vehicle and appeared to have called his Manager and mumbled something in his mother-tongue and made up something that I was "combative" which was pure non-sense. I found this out after calling your headquarters. We never had problems with DPS in the past and it's very disappointing to see someone in your company who does not abide by any code of ethics and puts DPS in legal and reputational risks.

In the pictures you will see there are 3 parking stalls with my car being in the middle. Loading zone signs are seen on the stalls next to mine, but not my spot. There are old white lines and markings on the ground which may suggest that these spots were modified or sub-divided previously. But if that was in effect, it makes no sense why they are still there. Markings should be clear and concise to an average driver. If signs are missing, or there remains ambiguous markings/lines that are left previously , it wouldn't be fair or right to penalize the driver for it.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

Regards,
Tom

Beware of parking at the Diamond Lot on *** in ***!!! They have these 15 minute spots that are dirty and about 2 inches in size so they are impossible to read at night due to the lack of lighting. I parked there and disputed the ticket and even showed photos of how the sign was illegible but they didn't care and made me pay anyway. Most other companies would have waived the ticket but not Diamond. I will NEVER park at any Diamond lot again!

Customer Response • Feb 06, 2018

but I paid it already because you guys were so unhelpful and I didn't want to end up paying more by persisting!

I am a nursing travel on assignment at a Seattle Hospital. I contracted the flu from a patient and went to the care clinic at ***. It was a rainy night and I did not see ANY visible parking signs stating parking limitations. When I returned to my car I found a parking ticket on my windshield. I was so surprised! After receiving the ticket I drove around and finally found a sign stating parking instructions but they were not visible from where I parked. There should be visible instructions so that people who don't live here can avoid this from happening to them. I feel this was unfair and a BIG ticket trap. This leaves a BAD impression to visitors who are trying to help the community.

Diamond Parking Services Response • Jan 18, 2018

Thank you for the opportunity to provide a response to the feedback that was provided by this customer. After reading the comments I have found the complaint to be valid. The stall in which the customer parked had a lack of visible signage indicating the two-hour time limit for customers in that shopping center. While there are signs posted in other parts of the lot as well as at the entrance, I can see that during the night and especially with the rain how challenging they are to find. Because of this, I have reached out to the customer, refunded the payment that she made, and have apologized for the situation.
In order to remedy this problem that was brought to our attention, the Area Manager in charge of this lot will be placing additional signs indicating parking restrictions in multiple and more visible locations in the parking lot. We most importantly want to avoid any customer having a negative experience in our parking lots and want to be sure that the rules and regulations at each of our locations are easily seen on our signs.
We appreciate the constructive feedback and will take this experience as a great coaching opportunity for our management team and will make the necessary changes in order to prevent this situation from occurring in the future.

Hello
I'm regular customer of *** located at *** in *** and I parked there mostly twice a week and I always pay for parking. It happened before that I forget to pay and I got ticket and I did pay.
But this time I received a letter for overdue ticket parking there at ***. I didn't get any ticket and seriously I can't remember if I payed or not but my concern is where was the ticket? If I didn't get the ticket how to know and pay it on time? and now its overdue.
***

Please advise.

On December 5th, 2017.
I parked my vehicle in a parking lot with signage saying this is for *** customer. I went into *** to make my purchase. I received a parking violation notice on my vehicle 3 mins after the time stamp on my purchase receipt and in the comments section they stated "occupant left the property. walked off to ***". I did go to *** and these comments are false. I have reached out by email, trying to get this resolved. I provided proof of purchase to support my claim. They we're very unhelpful and gave me the run around. I asked them to provide proof to me that I "walked off to ***", which they couldn't. I also asked them to to provide or direct me to someone who can assist and also provide some information/literature regarding the complains/escalation process. They wouldn't or are unwilling to provide such information. So I then forwarded this complain to Michael M the city manager from their website. I then get a response from a supervisor (which the initial employee refused to direct me to). I explained the situation to her and she still unable to resolve it. Her explanation was "The receipt you sent in proves that you were a customer prior to being ticketed. This means that you can have been off of the lot four hours after the notice was issued. Because we can not determine how long you were gone we will not be voiding your infraction.". I then advised her that the statements on the notice are false and to provide proof. I also again asked for proof of me going to *** and also asked how can they use false statements as a reason as an excuse to ticket and what type of oversight or accountability do they have in these infractions and matters. Again I asked the supervisor for the escalation process and the persons/entities that oversees and audits disputes/escalations processes when they cannot be resolved at a certain level. Her final response as of Decemeber 19th, 2017 is "Please be advised that I will stand behind the witness statement our my patroller. Please note that this is the escalation process. I have denied your appeal.". So they will use false witness statements to justify they notice instead of provide proof to support the reason and that there is no clear policy and procedure to address customer disputes/escalations given the statement "this is the escalation process". The service and communications provided and the unwillingness to provide information regarding their business practice is horrible and non-transparent. I will again forward my complaint to the final email on their website to Mike P and see who/what type of response I will get.

I had a horrible issue with them I parked in 30 minute Scotiabank parking to use the ATM. It is not a pay lot - just for customers of the bank. It was a Sunday so I could not register my vehicle because the bank wasn't open. But it didn't say you aren't allowed to park there on a Sunday. I used the ATM and returned to vehicle within 15 minutes and moved it to the street. Days later I came out to my vehicle in front of my apartment and found the ticket on my windshield in front of my home! I had moved my vehicle before he could ticket me again and the car was a rental. I was never parked illegally but they kept telling me I didn't pay even though the lot is not a pay lot. It is just for bank customers. I sent them my bank statements and they refused to acknowledge it. Carleen D - the customer service representative is AWFUL to deal with. They run the business illegally just trying to scam people that wont know any better. I am educated and know my rights but most people wouldnt.

Diamond Parking Services Response

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to your complaint.
Our sincere apologies for your negative experience with Diamond Parking. Unfortunately, we are not able to respond in detail without more information related to your specific parking notice. It would be helpful if you could provide more details of your case, we have hundreds of facilities throughout Canada where Diamond Parking have been contracted to enforce parking regulations based on a specific set of challenges facing the Property Manager, Owner and Location. Also, it must be noted that our patroller would typically take a photo of the notice on the windshield at the time of the notice being issued, not at a later time at a residence - if you provide your reference number, We can provide this photo to you. This photo would also be stamped with the date, time and GPS coordinates of the vehicle. There would be no reason for the officer not to place the notice on the windshield at the time of issue - it is safe to assume that you perhaps did not see it until a later time.
If you could provide a notice reference number or license plate along with the documentation you mentioned in your review (i.e. debit receipt from the bank etc.). Please ensure you omit any sensitive information. You can email us directly at *** and we will respond accordingly.
