Review: We have been in touch with our local contact person; and I also contacted the company through their website about the faucets in our two bathrooms coming away from the shower wall. We purchased this home due to the 1 year warranty that is offered on the homes.
When my husband made contact; he was told that he needed to contact the manufacturer. The issue is that it wasn't installed properly. The faucet is not malfunctioning.
We also contacted the company about cracks in the driveway and other issues and have been ignored.
My biggest issue is that you should not offer a warranty if you are going to ignore the home owner. Several owners purchase a new build for this peace of mind - which we currently do not have.Desired Settlement: I want the faucets, the driveway, and any other issue we have with quality, installation, and function up to our one-year warranty fixed. I don't want to be ignored and I don't want things to be 'pushed off' past our one-year mark.

Review: I signed a contract and provided earnest money in the amount of $500.00 for a house to be built in Royse City, Texas. They accepted my price, but a few weeks later the sales representative called me and told me he did not realize the lot that I had chose and had a contract on, had already had building permits for a spec house which was not the same elevation and or options that I had originally chosen, and they did not have anymore lots of that size to build my house on. I decided to choose another location to build the house but they did not accept my offer on that house. The sales rep told me that they would refund $250.00 of my earnest money because I cancelled the contract, which is not true because the 1st contract should be null and void as this was not my error and the 2nd one they did not accept my offer.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my $500.00 earnest monies.

Review: I purchase a new construction home on september 26th, 2013. When I purchase the home, there was a tree that was not alive in the front yard. I asked Dr Horton if the tree was okay, and they said it would grow back in the spring time. Now it is May and the tree is still dead. I put in a warranty call to have the tree replace. The response I received from my request was that I sign the warranty document when I moved in that landscaping was not covered after closing. I would have never had accepted the agreement if I knew the tree was dead before I purchase the home.
I feel that I was tricked by DR Horton, because when I brought it up, they said the tree was fine and normal. Me, being naive, believed the tree would grow when it was spring. That was never the case, because the tree was long dead before I moved into the home.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a new tree to replace the dead tree in my front yard. for my inconveniencing, I would like them to replace it with a palm tree.

Please accept this correspondence as D.R. Horton, Inc.'s ("Horton") response to the BetterBusiness Bureau ("Revdex.com") with regard to the above-referenced complaint.Horton spoke with Mr. [redacted] about the tree on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 7, 2014.Horton informed Mr. [redacted] that due to the number of variables involved in the life cycle ofplant material, the tree was not warranted which is standard procedure for landscaping companieseither residential or commercial. The superintendent who was on the closing walk through with Mr. [redacted] is no longer with thecompany so his recollection of this matter is unknown. As a gesture of good will Horton offeredtwo options to Mr. [redacted]: (I) Hot1on would replace the tree with the same type of tree that wasoriginally installed or (2) Horton would reimburse Mr. [redacted] for the cost of the same type oftree originally planted which funds he could use toward the purchase a tree of his choice. Review: I purchased my home with DR Horton on 12/8/12. The granite bar top in my kitchen has a crack, close to one of the edges along with 2 black spots on corners. DR Horton agreed to replace granite. They have tried to replace granite top three times, however, the color of the granite has not been a close match. The granite company, [redacted] has not been very helpful. They ignored my calls in the beginning and tried to say that the crack in the granite is a "natural fischer". [redacted] (Construction Manager - DR Horton) came to my house and agreed that granite needed to be replaced. However, he is giving me an ultimatum that I need to accept the last granite top [redacted] brought me on 9/6/13 or have the 2 dark spots repaired. I explained to him that I was not going to accept last granite top because the color is not similar. Even the workers from the granite company agreed the shade of color was off. He was provided a photo of the granite top with a sample similar to ours and decided the colors were sufficient. I tried to explain to him that they are pictures of the same rock, of course they will look similar. I saw it in person and it was off. I have come to learn granite has different color variations. [redacted] has now transferred my "file" (his words) to [redacted] (Customer Service Manager DR Horton) and I have tried to contact him by email and phone, but have not been successful. I have even tried to contact [redacted] (Vice President/Supervisor) but he has not responded to my emails. This has been almost a year and nothing to show for it. I am really frustrated with this whole situation. I told both [redacted] and [redacted], I wanted to have the 2 dark spots repaired on my exisiting granite, as [redacted] gave me that choice. However, as I explained to both of them. Repairing the dark spots does not fix the cracked edge. They are two different problems. I wanted to be sure they warranteed the granite in the future if it breaks. We all agreed that its cracked. I wanted security from them, and they were not willing to provide that to me.Desired Settlement: I want them to either replace the top with a new granite top (not the previous one they brought on 9/6/13).
Or, I want them to repair the 2 dark spots in the corners, and provide me with a warranty/guarantee if the granite begins to crack more and/or breaks in the future.

Re: Response to Complaint ID [redacted]
Dear Ms. [redacted]
Please accept this correspondence as D R Horton, Inc.’s (“Horton”) response to the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) with regard to the above reference complaint. I apologize for the difficulties Mr. [redacted] feels he has encountered while attempting to resolve his concerns. I assure you that DRH strives to provide quality service.
Mr. [redacted]’s complaint was received by the Dallas/Fort Worth East Division of Horton. The Customer Service Manager made three attempts to change out the bar top but Mr. [redacted] has refused to accept each time. It was explained to Mr. [redacted] that granite is a natural product and we cannot guarantee an exact color or graining match. An offer was made to Mr. [redacted] to replace and have the dark spots buffed out of the bar top and he has refused our efforts. At this time we have decided not to attempt to offer any additional work on the granite bar top.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr. [redacted]’s complaint.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]I do not agree with DR Horton's response. They "attempted" to bring out three granite tops, however they were not a color match. The dark edges still exist, and now I guess I am stuck with this damaged granite top. Its very discomforting knowing that this is the way DR Horton treats their customers and does business. At least I know I'm not the only one in my neighborhood that is dealing with this nonsense. What a shame....

Review: Workers with DR Horton, plugged up a drainage located in front of my residence with sandbags and mesh wiring, due to the construction going on in the area. We received heavy rains in Oct 2014 causing debris to plug up the mesh wiring and waters to swell and rush in to my front yard and garage. I had just moved in 2 months prior and had several pieces of equipment and personal items in my garage that received water and mud damage. Water also entered into my vehicle I had parked by the drainage, causing a few inches of puddled water on the floorboards.

I also advised him of the "swamp" conditions I had with the property on the side of my residence whenever it rained or when my neighbors watered their lawn. He stated he would get someone over to look at the grade of the property, which I assumed hasn't been done, since I havn't heard anything. I had issues getting the Restoration people to clean up my vehicle after several attempts to get them to do so, but that is another issue.
I emailed the Warranty Department concerning this matter, and received a call from [redacted]), who went out to my residence to a

Restoration or compensation on other property that was damaged by water and mud. And an assesment of my property on the poor drainaged issues.

Review: I purchased a home from DR. Horton in March 2012. As part of contract the company is supposed to fix any issues that arise in the next 12 months. The purpose of the one year warranty is to resolve any issues that were not discovered in the final walk through prior to the closing of the home. Ever since I moved I have noticed issues with the Kitchen Cabinets. I continuously have found scratched and dents and chips in several places in the kitchen cabinets. I have submitted 3 written complains and a numerous amounts of verbal complains. Every time the subcontractor comes to replace the broken pieces the replacement parts are also either chipped or scratched. I keep telling the builder that the quality of product being used is less than acceptable and all they can tell me is that it is the manufacturer issue. It has been 9 months and the builder has not been able to fix the kitchen cabinets.Desired Settlement: I would like the kitchen cabinets to be completely replaced with a better quality cabinet.
Review: We recently purchased a new home with DR Horton and undergoing several repairs due to poorly installed materials. We upgraded our tub deck to a quartz slab which was poorly cut - jagged and chipped. We worked with their customer service team and after several rounds of evaluations and 2 attempts at fixing the problem, it was verbally communicated to us that the material was un-fixable and we will be receiving a new slab. One month goes by, we check in on progress and it turns out nothing has been done. We called the customer service manager and it was then communicated to us that we are not getting a new slab.Desired Settlement: They've made 2 attempts at fixing the quartz slab and clearly this is not fixable as they've very acknowledged. We would like a replacement of the quartz slab or a refund.

Response:
Complaint ID# [redacted] I met with Mr. [redacted] last week and because of a flaw in a seam we have agreed to replace the tub deck in question and not cut any setbacks into it. The [redacted] are going to replace their cabinet and vanity so that everything better suits their needs; we are coordinating this with the homeowners.
Review: Due to DR Horton’s lack of irresponsibility in choosing appropriate homes for their lots, we now have the burden of coping with a man-made wall on the side of our home. We are having all sorts of issues with drainage. We have been working with DR Horton for months now to try and resolve our issues, but they have not been taken care of. It is always the same theme, contractors hired by DR Horton not doing their job. In the meantime, this “wall”, which would not have been there if DR Horton had properly estimated the size of the home which would fit this lot, is now our concern. Who maintains it? It is not a permanent structure and will shift with the earth over time.
We have contacted, whom we believe to be the President and Vice-President of the Greenville, SC branch, but they do not respond. We were told by another of their Reps that they have already discussed the wall with us. At this time we have no recollection of meeting or talking personally with them at our home. If we were satisfied, why would we be calling them back?
We are just trying to protect our home which we hoped would be our forever residence.Desired Settlement: We want the drainage issues fixed with a life-time guarantee from DR Horton. We also want to know what happens down-the-road when this wall they built causes us trouble. Who will pay for that?
Business
Response:
We spoke to Mrs. [redacted] regarding the retaining wall located between her and her neighbor.
1. Retaining wall NOT on complainants property
2. Permanent structure(made of stone rear locking block, installed to manufacturer specifications)
3. Wall was installed to accommodate the buyer for said lot , side entry garage
4. Wall mitigates excessive water from entering complainants property
We have addressed the small area of standing water at the left front of her home.
Thank you,

Review: On February 27, 2014, I closed on my home with DR Horton and before closing, I identified several issues with the home that have not been corrected. It is now November 21, 2014 and there are still several outstanding issues that need to be corrected. Aside from cosmetic defects, my most concerned issue is dealing with the foundation in which the house was built upon. Prior to my closing date, I contacted [redacted] List [DR Horton's Project Manager] and pointed out that there was a very large crack in the concrete close by the kitchen. The crack was not a cosmetic crack however, it was a crack leading into the ground. It appeared that the concrete had completely separated from the joist that were installed into the ground. [redacted] List said that they would fix this issue and everything would be okay. On my closing date, I scheduled a walk through with [redacted] List. In this walk through, [redacted] located 2 extremely large cracks in the garage area. It appeared to be the same type of cracks that I pointed out a couple months before the scheduled walk through. [redacted] confirmed that the concrete would be fixed however, we should wait 4-5 months to see if the concrete spreads and worsen. Well, it has been 9 months later and no one has been here to fix this issue. My 1 year warranty is coming to an end and I fear DR Horton will attempt to send someone close to my 1 year end warranty date...only to have the issue resurface a couple of months after fixing. I have contacted head quarters and no one has taken action. I also have a list of issues that need to be responded and fixed: Gas Water Heater, Plumbing [pipes making noise], Wood Flooring[the person they sent, made it worse], Window [broken], Back Door not being leveled and the end of walk through has not been scheduled. I'm very disappointed with "America's #1 Builder" and I will be sure to voice my thoughts via social media.Desired Settlement: The City of Durham Inspection will be contacted and made aware that the foundation this home was built upon, is broken.
DR Horton needs to repair the following:
Concrete in garage
Concrete in driveway
Extended Warranty for delayed corrective action
Wood Floors
Gas Water Heater [neighbor is having the same issue]
Back Window located at bedroom
Fix all doors that are not aligned [specifically back door]
The point of building a home brand new is not have this many issues. I should not have to continue following up day after day with DR Horton. They should be following up with me to ensure the product I purchased and their promise is of value.

Review: I bought a brand new house that finished building in the middle of January, 2014, and my roof has buckling issues all over. The builder insists that they built to Fort Worth code and that the buckling is normal... how on Earth is buckling acceptable? Two inspectors came to see the roof and they all rate it as "poorly built". I need a solution to this now, or I will lose my homeowners insurance. This debate has been going on since the end of January of 2014.Desired Settlement: Roof buckling fixed within 2 weeks before expiration of insurance.

Review: The builder offered a $5,500.00 incentive to finish our garage and epoxy the floor. This offer was the final incentive that closed our deal and pushed us over the edge in our decision to purchase the home. I have experience with the epoxy process and asked them how they were going to do the job of epoxy. I even went as far as telling them not to do the epoxy unless they would do it right. They assured me the job would be done correctly. During construction I witnessed the unfinished concrete floor and within 36 hours the floor was done. Definitely not enough time to follow the entire process and do the required prep work. The job was not done correctly and the epoxy began to peel/flake off within a few months of moving in. The floor is also a safety hazard and did not have a flake mixture which would improve traction when wet. My wife has slipped and fell on the floor with our baby in her arms. Through the warranty dept. I tried to resolve the issue. The final answer from the company is that they will have the original installer re-epoxy the areas where the epoxy is coming off. This does not solve the problem. The floor now needs to be stripped of the original faulty product and redone completely. The unsafe condition exists throughout the entire 800 sq ft garage space. I told them that the entire garage needed to be redone and they have stood firm that the only thing they will do is to epoxy over the area that has came off. I have spent a lot of time dealing with this issue. The salesman, warranty foreman, VP of customer service and the attorney for the company are all aware of the unsafe condition and have chose to offer an inadequate fix to the solution.Desired Settlement: The floor is a safety hazard. I will need to rent storage for the contents of my garage while the process is done correctly. I will also have a qualified company remove the faulty product from the floor. The same company will apply the new epoxy correctly. The total cost of this process which will rectify an unsafe condition will cost $4,500.00.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
The response from DR Horton is not acceptable. The reason I involved the Revdex.com was that I was not satisfied with the original offer from them because, it does not fix the safety issue or the peeling problem. The offer from the company is to repeat the same process over the areas that are peeling off. The entire floor is faulty and the safety issue still exists. Repeating the same thing and expecting different results is the definition on insanity. The floor is a safety issue due to how the entire process was completed in a substandard way. DR Horton representatives have agreed that the floor is substandard to me in person while standing in my garage. DR Horton is fully aware of a safety issue and substandard construction and have chose not to do the right thing. They have wasted my time and left my family with safety hazard that needs to be fixed properly by a professional. The Revdex.com exists to help the "little guy" in these situations where a large corporation has done a poor job and forced the customer to take it to the next level. Thank you for your time.
Review: Please accept this letter as my formal written complaint against DR Horton regarding this transaction. Thisletter is to complain about service I recently received from DR Horton. DR Horton used threatening tactics toforce us into closing on a property BEFORE their work on the inside of the home was complete. If we ([redacted] and [redacted]) did not close on 03/3112015 without a Final Walk Through, DRHorton said they would consider us in breach of contract, cancel our contract, and keep our money. I wasstanding firm that we would NOT close until their work was complete. I offered a new closing date of03/03/2015 due to our physical inability to close because I was traveling for business on behalf of my employerfrom 04/01/2015 to 04/02/2015. They created a situation of undue stress and I made a mad dash by the propertyand to closing on 03/3112015. I noted many unfinished items like missing paint on the interior of the home.[redacted], my fiance, has documented all of this with photographic evidence and is keeping a "live"moment by moment record on Facebook,[redacted]e=3. These photos were taken on 04/02/2015.I asked [redacted] to file a complaint with Revdex.com. We can document via email that [redacted]was highly involved with every step of the transaction; however, I am now aware that Revdex.com is not recognizingthe complaint against DR Horton because DR Horton is not recognizing [redacted] as part of the transaction. A conversation prior to closing was conducted with Ms. [redacted] in regards the purchase of her Townhome unit. We told Ms. [redacted] if she was not happy we did not want her to close and we would cancel the contract and refund all her earnest money with no penalties to her. This was communicated by the sales agent and the area construction manager to Mr. Si[redacted], Ms. [redacted] and their Real Estate agent. Ms. [redacted] decided to proceed with closing at that point. As with any new build construction items can be found after a first walk through, after a second walk through and after closing. There were three small items that were addressed after close that were not part of items we agreed to remedy on the initial walk. All items were corrected as promised in a timely manner, and future items will be addressed in accordance with our warranty policies.
Review: My wife and I purchased a new DR Horton home in Thornton, CO. on 9/19/13 for my family of 5. We started this process about 2 years ago and after looking at multiple builders in the area, and visiting the show homes many times, we selected DR Horton based on the show models that we were presented. We were allowed a walk-through with the Superintendent one evening about a week before closing on our loan. He explained that we have a 1 year warranty and if we needed anything he would be there to help. The grass and landscaping was not even completed at that time, but he said "do not to worry, with all the rain the crew is a little behind". During the building process, as we visited the house, we made a list of items and issues to bring to his attention at the walk-through. For example, a lot of things we paid extra for and upgraded like the hardwood floor, faucets, light fixtures, carpet, trim, stair railing, cabinets, tile, and back splash were badly damaged, torn, crooked and cracked. Holes were punched in the walls throughout the house and were repaired but still looked bad. The craftsmanship was very poor for example, strike plates were installed crooked and screws were stripped, walls are crooked, grout in the bathroom was stained with hardwood floor stain, drywall for recessed lights cut too large, doors were chipped, and paint was not even and there are many missed areas. We brought all of these items to his attention and for the most part, he had most of it on his "punch list" already. We were not able to walk around the exterior of the house because of all the mud from recent rains, so he insured us that the air conditioners were running and at that time he said the heaters worked and that he tested them himself. After the walk-through, he said he would have all this stuff complete before closing and we would have another quick walk-through before closing. He sounded very reliable and believable and I did not think I would have to worry that he would have it complete. The 2nd walk-through consisted of about a 1/2 hour and crews were still in the house working, so it made it difficult to inspect every detail we would have liked to. With our time away from work scheduled to move, a moving truck, help, nowhere to live, and the kids already at their new schools we could not delay or terminate our closing. We finished at closing and we started moving in and 90% of the items we needed repaired were not complete. in addition, we found more items in need of repair, nail sticking 1/2" out of the trim in one of the closets, gutters are leaking, the heaters did not work during the first cold night in Oct, and the cabinet face under the cook top just "fell off". The yard was installed about a week after we moved in and they left trash and debris under the sod and left it wavy and did not roll it to flatten it out. I called the Superintendent and all he told me is that some of the items are under warranty but "it is my fault regarding the trim, stair railing, hole repairs, and paint and I shouldn't have signed the paper saying everything was in good condition". I submitted a warranty request through he DR Horton website and they failed to show up for a scheduled appointment for the cabinet face repair which I had a friend waiting at the house for all day. I spoke with my neighbors and they have a lot of the same issues if not more. I completed a survey sent out by the corporate offices of DR Horton and told them to contact me and I have not heard a thing back from them. This is not the house we were presented at the model home and I will not recommend DR Horton to anybody looking to purchase a new home.Desired Settlement: I would like them to stand by their word and make it right.

MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:
Please accept this correspondence as D.R. Horton, Inc.’s (“DRH”) response to the Revdex.com (“Revdex.com”) with regard to the above-referenced complaint. Review: We have a drainage problem in our back and side yard. Before closing a little less than a year ago, we were told it was 'fixed' because I refused to close on the house until it was. We only realized how bad the problem was because of the flood here in Pensacola last year. We hadn't had a bad rain since then until April 18th or 19th. At that time; our entire backyard and side yard flooded again. This includes the drain that DR Horton installed before our closing. Right next to the drain; there was a small sinkhole that was big enough for a child or small animal to fall into that I had to fill with dirt.
I filled out a warranty form the same day and got an email that it had been received. I have heard nothing back since. I don't know if I am going to be told that it is 'not covered by our warranty' however I want to be clear that if that is the case; I have neighbors who are willing to write statements that before we purchased the house (which sat empty for over a year); the company had to repair the yard twice and still sold it to use KNOWING that this was a problem.
I am very upset that the company willingly sold us a home with a problem like this. This yard has been washed away so much that our back deck is in danger of collapsing as well as whatever is happening to the foundation of our home as the dirt and soil gets washed away by the rain.Desired Settlement: We want it fixed - so that it never happens again; whatever that takes. That or a lifetime guarantee that each time it does happen, they will come out and fix it.

Review: Have filed two warranty requests and DR Horton has not fixed the issue. The first request was filed in December the second in February. They send guys out, but they refuse to do the work because the are not capable without another person being there. The request is to fix a spot in our upstairs floor that is caving/sinking in. It is a hazard, but they have yet to see any urgency to fix it. The request is over 3 months old.Desired Settlement: To fix the floor that is still covered under the builders warranty.

The flooring companypulled back the carpet and pad to allow access to the subfloor and the framing contractor removed thedefective subflooring and replaced it and secured the new subflooring solving the depression in the floor. This was followed by the flooring company reinstalling the pad and re-tacking the carpet. Review: Didn't disclose the fireplace was noisy during rain. Didn't install gutters for erroson issues, installed on neighbors. Misleading handouts featuring concrete fiber siding on exterior. Failed to assign a well trained and competent design center coordinator to work with us, as expected in the industry. She miss-quoted prices, failed to record design selections and answer questions with accuracy. She told us all doors had grids in the glass and other mistakes were made. They did not provide an appropriate level of supervision of the sub-contractors to insure quality workmanship. Thus resulting in an excessive punch out list of items. Specifically, brick work at the front door doesn't have the same mortar color. Representative suggested we cover an electric junction box, and violate code. Employees promised to make good on repairs and issues however they do not. Corporate office send complaints back to the local level.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund
Refund for slider with grids and all labor costs involved. Repay carpet charge. Repay fireplace option. Repay for material and labor to replace exterior concrete siding as per handout. Repay of cost of gutters along with labor. Provide appropriate supervision of sub-contractors. Additionally provide home buyers with a well trained and competent design center coordinator.

Dispute Resolution/Charity Review
Review: To whom it may concern:
I have the following, unresolved issues with DR Horton for my home in [redacted] I have not been able to get any realistic resolution to these issues, as of yet, and need to escalate these issues to corporate management. They are as follows:
1. I have had numerous gas leaks since I purchased my home in August, 2013. The leaks (10 plus of them) have been fixed. I was asked to have a separate inspection of the gas lines done and present the bill for reimbursement. I have not gotten the check yet.
2. I have initiated multiple warranty requests for my heating system that have not been resolved. The most recent was on November 18, 2014 with no response except the confirmation email.
3. In August, we had a water leak that flooded one of the bedrooms. We were told to purchase a new mattress and submit the receipt for reimbursement. We have not gotten the check yet. The last update I had on the reimbursements was on December 12, 2014.
4. I was told by local management that DR Horton would “make it right” by us for all of the issues, presumably financially, once our punch list was corrected. Since shortly after that conversation, I stopped hearing from anyone. On October 20, 2014, I spoke with a Ms. [redacted] at corporate. She was supposed to have someone in corporate contact me. I have not heard from any of them.Desired Settlement: I desire the following: Prompt delivery of the reimbursement check for the gas leak inspection and the mattress. Repair the heating system in my home repaired properly and fully. Provide a reasonable resolution to "make it right" by me and my family for the multiple issues, including safety issues that could have killed my family, like I was told would happen in July, 2014.

Review: I reported two landscaping issues 4/22/2015. The first was dead sod related to another warranty issue taken care of that month (broken irrigation pipe leaking severely) The second was the erosion of the landscaping in back of the property due to poor drainage and grading. Customer service looked at the issues and said that would be fixed. It's been over a month. The the few times my calls or emails were answered I was given a date for the dead sod but it came and went. No one showed up. I have been very patient with all the issue we had in this house in the short time we been here, from cracked tiles, busted pipes, to finding a beer bottle inside of the drywall (I have pictures) but my patience is wearing thin. Communication is lacking.Desired Settlement: Fixed the issues as promised. My 4 month walk through is due soon. I would like these issue resolved before then. We like our home but the DR Horton experience is very disappointing.

Review: I bought a home from D.R. Horton. House has had lots of problems due to cheap, shoddy construction and failure to build according to plans and construction industry standards. I have been unable to bathe in my master bathroom due to problems with the shower and tub since I moved in in January. The tub has developed a leak which has started mold growing out of the floor in the master bedroom next to my bed. I have severe mold allergies. I have sent D.R. Horton three separate request for warranty repairs/work since 3/12/14. To date only a small fraction of the required repairs have been addressed. I was admitted to the hospital through the ER this past weekend with unexplained neurological problems and have been Extremely sick the past 10 days. I specifically stated in my repair request that the mold problem needed immediate attention. To date have not received a call from Horton or even an offer of an air purifier for my room. I have been TOTALLY ignored as have the majority of the problems with my house. It appears I will have to hire someone myself to come clean up the mold so I can stay in the house and pursue whatever legal options I have to get Horton to reimburse me. I live near the coast and already have a shingle that has blown off the roof from just the everyday wind here. The shingle does not appear to have even one nail in it when the plans clearly call for 6 per shingle. I can only imagine how many others in my neighborhood have the same lack of quality and shoddy construction my house does. Everyone I've talked to has had pretty much the same experience with Horton. Their problems and needs to fix their poorly built homes are totally ignored by Horton and everyone seems to have problems with their homes.Desired Settlement: Do what you've promised to do and should do for your customers immediately and promptly. I have contacted a local TV station in an attempt to get my story to the public. I intend to go by D.R. Horton sales offices and talk to any potential buyers and warn them of how D.R. Horton does business and treats their customers.
