I had them put a new muffler on my truck and I told them I wanted to keep the one they took out cause the truck is brand new so when I picked up the truck they put the old one in the bed of the truck and scratched up the bed they said the could fix it so I got an estimate on it for 810.00 to repaint it but after that they said they will not pay that amount that they would try and get a color matching pen to blend it in or buff it the paint shop told me. It was to deep to buff so it had to repainted but they are refusing to do they said they would take a 100.00 dollars off the bill I just paid but that’s not fixing it a color matching *** not going to fill in a deep scratch I don’t know why they are refusing to fix it
came into our shop *** on 6/26/2020 requesting we remove his resonators and replace muffler with a flowmaster muffler. He asked us to place his take off components in the bed of his truck no box was provided and there was nothing to put them on in the bed of his truck. He told our technician of plans to get spray in bed liner in the bed of his truck. When he came to pick up his truck customer picked up parts in bed of truck he became irate showing the manger scratches in the bed of his truck . He stated I thought you would of put the parts in a box. He stated "I want this fixed." We pulled it back in to buff the scratches out of the paint, at that time he stated he didn't have time for us to do it and would come back later to have it done. He returned an hour later with a quote from a body shop for $810.00 to completely repaint the bed of his truck. He insisted that it was our fault and that or we buy him a spray in bed liner. On April 24, 2020 I took my vehicle in for an oil change. I asked them to run a cleaner through the engine as well. They ran the cleaner through and told me the vehicle was done. A couple of days later the car was sluggish. I changed the fuel filters and then it was okay. I took a long trip and knew I needed to have another oil change. When my oil pressure light came on, I stopped at *** and got synthetic oil (3 quarts) and put it in. I drove it back to where I was staying, I called a repair shop in my town and they said they think there was no oil put in on the April 24. They drained the oil out of the engine was the oil that I had put in the night before. The entire engine is shot. I need a new engine. I have tried reaching the company, and have spoken to the manager of the store on Providence. It's been escalated to the General Manager. No word from the the General Manager so far.

A month ago, I had my oil changed by Custom Complete Automotive. This past weekend my check oil light came on. My oil was low and I put in half a quart. In the 9 years I have owned this vehicle, this has never occurred. It appeared there was a leak. Upon inspection, some bolts and an intake cover and were loose. Once tightened, the leak was very minimal but my light continued to flick on and off. I took my vehicle back in and was informed of the problem and the cost to fix it which was absolutely ridiculous. Upon having a family member familiar with vehicles speak with the technician, the technician said that my family member were "***" rude. He said this in front of myself, another employee, and possibly a third person. I decided not to have the repairs done there. The next day I noticed a significant amount of oil leaking. At one point, I had no oil at all. Upon inspection, it appeared that the intake cover and bolt were missing completely so oil was leaking everywhere. I took my vehicle back in today. The technician informed me he has had the cover since I was in 2 days ago and could put it back on easily. He acted as if it were not a big deal. I was shocked that this company did not attempt to contact me that they had this part and am upset at the fact that this could have caused more significant damage. Needless to say, I still have to have my vehicle repaired but will never come back to this business at all.

On June 24, 2019 My ford truck broke down on Loup in front of Custom Complete Auto. I left it there because I needed converters. It took them 5 1/2 hours to weld 2 converters and then they leaked. My real problem is they did not disconnect around the cable from the batter. By doing so, they change the polarity of the current on the truck. It did a job on my electronics. I drove 2 miles toward home and had to buy new coil and spark plug wires to get home. the next day, new battery and alternator then all sensors, throttle body map senosr and opener sensors. No help from them. Just a bunch of lies. Said they scanned it and they didn't. The Providence store said they had a guy working over there that used to work at Ford that he would be over to the Loop store on Wednesday morning and the new manager had a scanner at home that he was going to bring and run 2 different scans. That didn't happen. They had to reweld converters because after 5 1/2 hours they leaked. I'm out about $1000 on truck and it won't start now. I'm driving a loaner. Plus, my mileage went from 20 mpg to 4 mpg. I also turned this over to the Attorney General's office. Wouldn't this come under abuse? I am 77 years old. They act like they could care less. I may not get all my money back but maybe they will treat customers like human beings instead of numbers.
I assure you that we do care about all our customers. We would not be in business since 1976 if this was not the case. In researching your situation, I've found that you brought in one of your own parts. There is no quality control or warranties when you decide to bring in your own parts. This was printed on your work order also. The time taken to perform the work may seem excessive to you, however you were not charged by the hour as you would be with other types of maintenance. Because of the age of your truck, the mechanic would most certainly have encountered many rusted bolts and other parts. Removing rusted bolts and sections of your exhaust is difficult and time consuming.Your 1994 Ford F-150 does not have the more modern OBD 2 connection. Your truck's uses an older system that is not commonly available anymore. I was told that you came in for only the converters and had no other work requested. If the welding was not done correctly, we most certainly stood by the work and corrected the welds. In terms of your electrical issues, there is no way that I can tell what caused it. Your truck is 25 years old and a lot can go wrong. Without being there, or having the documentation of the repairs it is simply impossible to speculate what caused any of your electrical faults. The truck was drivable immediately after the welding was complete, and all your other components were working the same way they were when the truck arrived. Even in 1994 your truck would also have fuses and relays that would trip before allowing the voltage spike to travel to vital electrical components. When one of these trips, the fault is noticed immediately. We would not have even been able to move your truck from the welding bay.I can not speak for what you state that you were promised before as I am only two month in this new position but I take, and make copies of your documentation that states your truck was damaged during our welding and dig further into it. I have also hired a new technician who is familiar with your older OBD system and may be able to help pinpoint any issues. On 16 October 2019 you did bring the truck back in to our Business Loop location. We found a potential problem in the MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure). You refused the repair. Symptoms of a Bad or Failing Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP Sensor): Common signs of manifold absolute pressure sensor problems include excessive fuel consumption, lack of power, and failing an emissions test.It is not unrealistic to expect multiple mechanical and electrical issues in a 25 year old vehicle. By continuing to repair these issues as they occur, you can keep your older vehicle on the road more reliably. It will never be as reliable as a newer vehicle. You must expect more routine maintenance and repairs in a 25 year old truck.--***General ManagerCustom Complete Automotive
This letter is in regard to the letter from Custom Complete Automotive. I purchased the map sensor 15 minutes after I left their shop. It was not the problem. On October 16, 2019, he kept rambling on about 25 year truck. That truck was in excellent condition before they worked on it. If their work was superior, how come 2 miles down the road I had to put on new spark plug wires and new coil to get home!
I'm tired of them making up stories. The price of the map sensor was $100 to install. I did it in 15 minutes for $50.00. What a mark up!
If they don't believe I bought a new sensor on that day they called *** at *** and check it out.
The truck is completely out of commission. They owe me for my truck. I'm not done with them.
I will take a polygraph test if they will then we will know who is *** the other.

I paid Custom Complete Automotive to replace the serpentine (drive) belt tensioner on my wife’s 2006 Honda Civic on July 30th of 2019. After hauling the car across country to Washington we discovered that the mechanic had improperly reused and potentially over tightened the bolt on the tensioner. This bolt broke in half, causing the tensioner to fall against the water pump pulley. This happened within 1500 miles of the initial repair. The total amount of damage caused by this repair cost my wife and I $1423 in addition to the $370 the initial repair cost. When confronted by the problem - a General Manager at Custom Complete Automotive seemed to duck my calls and ultimately misrepresented the conversation that was had between himself and the Honda shop in Spokane who fixed the damage.
As discussed; you brought in your car via tow truck since you had already taken off items in your engine bay. The technician clearly remembered your vehicle being brought in and you stating that you were unable to piece it back together. I did speak with the service advisor at your local dealership. He stated exactly what I informed you. A bolt did fail causing the tensioner to hit the water pump, causing damage to the water pump. I don't understand where you heard I said something different? I'm sorry you misunderstood me.Based on the facts I received, we were unable to accept responsibility for the failed component. The technician who worked on it has over 25 years experience and is ASE certified.Replacing a tensioner does not require new bolts. These are reusable parts. To over tighten this bolt would require a deliberate attempt to do so. The technician who worked on your car has the best customer satisfaction in the shop because he does excellent work that rarely requires a return visit.Based on the year and miles on the car, any part could have failed causing excessive pressure on the new tensioner thus causing the bolt failure. If the tensioner is returned to the shop, we can have the manufacturer of the part inspect it and determine if a refund can be issued for that part.We apologize for your situation and understand how you feel. Car repairs are never planned and can be stressful. With the age of your Civic, the potential of unexpected repairs are more likely. With regular and preventative maintenance you can minimize the risk of breakdowns but they will still occur.

Custom complete automotive recommend $1400 repair that another shop said was unnecessary. Against my better judgement I went back a few weeks later with my 2013 truck to just to get a clean inspection. Should have known better they tried to get me to replace a tie rod end that barely had any movement in it. Second opinion and said did not need to be replace and it passed inspection, instead of $230 bill just the cost of another another inspection. Don't trust these people ??
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We take vehicle inspections seriously here at Custom Complete Automotive. Your vehicle's safety is our first priority. The Missouri vehicle inspection process is thorough and detailed. There is little to no room for interpretation to the regulations set by the state. If, after an inspection, you feel unsure of our reports accuracy you may contact the highway patrol's Troop F in Jefferson City. They will review your car at no additional cost to you.
Ensuring accuracy in our inspections are extremely important to our technicians. If we pass a vehicle that should not pass they, or we, may lose the ability to perform inspections for up to a year. More importantly, you and your family will be driving a vehicle that does not conform to the safety standards we take pride in ensuring. Also, if we are failing vehicles that should not fail may also lead to losing our inspection license and, more importantly, losing our customers' trust.

In response to Mr ***he is taking his vehicle to our Nifong location on Wednesday October 26th to have one of our top mechanics look at it We first must diagnose what the issue is and will continue to work with Mr [redacted] on this issue to get it resolved as fast and efficiently as possible for everyone involvedThank you [redacted] ***General Manager
Twice this company attempted to charge us for repairs that were easily taken care of by a competitor. The first incident was related to replacing a headlight and ballast. They wanted to charge $850 when it was done for $200 by a competitor. The second incident involved a state vehicle inspection. They wanted to charge $1070 for repairs to pass inspection when their identified "issues" with the vehicle were evaluated by a competitor and ruled to be well within inspection parameters.
Without knowing more information as to what car this customer is talking about there is no way for Custom to know exactly what this complaint is about. From what Custom can gather this customer feels like the diagnosis that was given to him was incorrect. Our technicians have guidelines that they have to follow set up by the State of Missouri regarding motor vehicle inspections. If there is ever a question on an inspection anyone can contact Officer *** and he will be more than happy to listen to the concerns and re inspect the vehicle to make sure state guidelines are being followed.
