Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Unacceptable.  Period.

We have provided you with a full service overhaul of your watch including a circuit repair, removal of rust, replacing the gaskets and pressure testing as stated in our estimate. And as explained earlier the removal of mildew isn't part of cleaning the watch as this can further damage your watch. This has been confirmed by our technicians with over 100 years of watchmaker experience. Your watch is currently under our 1 year warranty repair. We've asked our technicians to have a look at your watch and determine some strategies for removing the mildew without a dial restoration or replacing the hands. We have done our due diligence and have performed the repair stated in our estimate. Unfortunately this does not warrant a refund.

This watch was deemed a replica by Chanel. I can provide the paperwork from Chanel to prove this. Owning a replica watch is illegal.

Hello [redacted], Upon receipt of your first complaint to the Revdex.com, we contacted the Junkers factory that we forwarded your watch to with your permission. We informed them that you no longer wished to wait for an estimate and asked that they please return the watch to you without repair. In...

order to further expedite that process, we covered the return shipping charges and asked the factory to ship the watch directly to you, rather than sending it back to our facility where it would have had to be re-processed and shipped out again. As per [redacted] (document attached) you received the watch yesterday and signed for it as well. I would hope that the return of your watch free of charge would have resolved this matter.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,

I've sent a new estimate with [redacted] rates to PR and eliminated the cost of the manual search and print to free. Thanks for everything.

The customer's watch arrived in to our office on Friday and was checked in to our system Friday afternoon. As soon as it is processed by our technician the customer will receive a "no job" response at which point they can pay for their return shipping. The watch will be shipped back to them that...

day. The customer must allow our system to process the watches in accordance with the constraints of our system.

My  Baume and Mercier watch (a very expensive watch) needed a new crystal. WHen I originally called and spoke to the people at Watch Repair USA , I explained the watch was serviced within the last 12 months but the crystal was now broken.  Therefore, I absolutely did not want it to be...

serviced; I just wanted  a 'custom crystal' to be cut for the watch and, on the phone,  Watch Repair USA told me they could cut the crystal and there would be no problem. Additionally, I specifically wrote this in  my request to Watch Repair USA  again stating that I did not want it serviced; just a new crystal was needed (see attached documentation). Not only did Watch Repair USA say they could cut the custom crystal for me, they also said  the cost for this  customer cut crystal would be somewhere in the range of $75. I shipped the watch to them at my own expense and with the $1000. insurance, the postage to send the watch to them in [redacted] was approximatley $15. When Watch Repair USA received the watch, everything change. I received a quote of $555. (see attached documentation) for servicing the watch which would include a new crystal. I called and told the Customer Service Rep at Watch Repair USA about our initial conversation and emails regarding the request for just a custom crystal.  I got a very different response now that the watch was in their possession. The customer service rep at Watch Repair USA said, "[redacted]". I requested Watch Repair USA send the watch back (they offered to reduce the servicing price to $504). I authorized a return shipping cost of $25--I gave them my credit card number for the return shipping. Three weeks (and numerous phone calls and emails) later Watch Repair USA sent the watch back to me in a broken status. My local jeweler, who serviced the watch 1 year ago, told me the movement in this watch was changed; this is not the movement that he serviced last year and this is not the movement that was in my watch when I sent it to Watch Repairs USA. Watch Repairs USA was the only other company that touched the inside of this watch since last year. My complaint is (1) Watch Repair USA lied to me about being able to just cut a new crystal, and (2) when I refused to have it serviced for $555, Watch Repair USA removed the original movement and replaced it with a broken movement. I was scammed here; I was told one thing over the phone before I shipped by Baume and Mercier watch, which is valued at over $1000. to Watch Repair USA, and when they received it, Watch Repair USA wanted me to pay them over $500 for servicing which I clearly told them I did not want, and they clearly told me it would not be necessary.  Since they lied to me, I wasted $15 to ship the watch to them, and I paid them $25. to have the watch returned and I want my $40. returned to me.I would also like to note that Watch Repair USA took the movement out of my watch, replaced it with movement that is broken. The movement in this watch is valuable and desirable because generic parts / movements cannot be used in this watch. Therefore, Watch Repair USA are liars and thieves.   It is going to cost me $325. to have a replacement movement put into this watch. Watch Repair USA is a scam operation. They lied to me in an effort to get my valuable watch; they ignored phone calls and emails for three weeks.  I want my $40. in postage fees returned.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:  No response was ever received from WR USA as stated until the day I advised them that a complaint had been filed with the Revdex.com. There was no communication in any form as to the status of shipment, the location or condition of my watch except, as previously stated in the initial complaint an alto reply from the website "Your watch estimate has been refused and it will will be shipped back to you within a few business days." I received this auto reply only when I enquired on the website. I was unable to contact them by phone because the number on their website is no longer in service. Funny how it just happened to be shipped the day I filed the complaint after sitting idle for months.I am currently traveling so I am unable to visually inspect nor receive the item until 09/**. My hope was to receive it well before I left home which didn't happen so I cannot close the case yet.By the way, it has not yet been delivered, it's currently in Honolulu according the [redacted].

because:

Watch Repairs USA makes unfounded assumptions.  I have in fact had the battery checked.  I asked Watch Repairs USA to provide shipping damage claim information for a reason (which it refused to provide).

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Again, the soul purpose for sending the working watch in, was as requested, to have the mildew removed from the face. Their response to my request was an estimate for "overhaul and cleaning".   Consequently, my understanding was this included cleaning the face.  Nothing from their estimate indicated otherwise.

WR USA was diligent in their response and processing time of this watch. The watch spent a total of 3 business days at our facility and the rest of it's duration was spent at the Tissot service center.  The watch timeline includes:Arrival of watch on June 8 to WR USA, processing and...

service center request on June *. Client approves service center request Jun **.WR USA ships watch June ** to service center.Client declines estimate July *, WR USA declines estimate July *.WR USA receives watch back from Tissot service center Aug. **, watch ships to customer Aug. **. At no point did WR USA delay shipment or hold the watch for an extended period of time. The watch spent 3 business days with our facility and the duration of it's time was spent at the Tissot facility. To note, we partner with the Tissot Service Center to repair the Tissot T Touch model as parts are not readily available and often discontinued. We were diligent in our response time and corresponded with the client on the same day and next day each time he reach out to us.    In regards to the customers other complaints, WR USA was in contact with the customer on every occasion specified and all correspondence took place on the same day or next day of his inquiry. WR USA could not repair the client's Tissot T Touch watch and therefore the watch was sent directly to Tissot's service center.

received back my watch.  The resolution is only satisfactory in so far as the watch was finally returned after much difficulty and distress. Because I have not yet been able to determine whether the watch has been returned in the same condition I sent it.  There are numerous public complaints about this business and the condition in which watches have been returned - in some cases, damaged.  Therefore, I request that the matter remain open until I am able to have a professional determine the condition of my watch.  Separately, I would like to pursue consumer fraud protection and have the business investigated.  Thank you. Sincerely, [redacted]

From best I can tell the customer has not done their due diligence to determine if the battery is, in fact, dead.

We do our best to estimate the length of time for these vintage restorations. On the estimate it was advised a 4 month completion window. However this is taking a little longer. It is an approximate eta we provide, not a firm completion date. Especially with these older restorations, customers must...

be patient so that the work can progress and quality, not speed is prioritized. The watch is in good hands.

[Your Answer Here]
My complaint has not been resolved because no progress has been made. The business owner still flat out denies that they had any thing at all to do with the breaking of the light on my watch even though they were the ones who disassembled it or even give me answers as to why I was not notified that the light was no longer working when they received it so that I could file an insurance claim with [redacted] or decide not to have it worked on before I paid for the repairs. Not even the slightest apology has been made by the owner nor has any offer been made to take a look at the watch to see if the fix is as simple as their repairman leaving a wire disconnected. This business only pretends to care about their customers and the property that they entrust to them up until the point that you pay them your hard earned cash, after that they could care less about you or your watches and their one year warranty on their work, which is part of what the customer is paying for, is completely worthless.

While it is very rare that watches go missing while in transit to us, we always request proof of values. A picture of you wearing the watch is not a substitute for watch value. Secondly, the watch was registered under multiple repair numbers with varying watch values that don't match the costs associated with similar watches. Thirdly, we confirmed with the manufacturer that the watch you claimed to have was never produced by the factory, during the time frame or at the value stated. We have been in direct contact with you during this process and have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue. In all correspondence we have requested specific information and you have not produced what is needed to help on your behalf.
