Care Temp HEATING in Toms River NJ serviced my parents heating system May 1, 2015 and stepped through the ceiling leaving a large hole in the dining room. It took 4 months of calling to get the hole fixed. Each call the person answering the phone was rude and disrespectful claiming it was not their fault and they didn't do it on purpose. They started the repair and then didn't show several times to finish. The repair was unprofessional at best. They are a careless rude arrogant incompetent company that does not understand customer service. They made a mistake that could have been corrected in 2 days and instead dragged their feet claiming it was not a priority. Worst service ever. [redacted] -- the owner did not have the decency to return my calls even though I left many messages and nobody at the company apologized not once. The person answering the phone is the rudest most disrespectful secretary on the planet. She did not return calls and was testy with every call.
NEVER, EVER, EVER, DO BUSINESS WITH CARE TEMP. The company should be called Does not Care Temp.
Review: Twice I have contacted Care Temp to come inspect my air conditioning. Both calls have resulted in heated words from an office employee. .Both of the employees I spoke with refused to acknowledge that I had a problem and refused to give me the name of the owner or manager.....or the name of one of the repairmen so I could explain my problem to them. My air handler is not cycling properly and causing my AC to run more than necessary. I'm 73 years old and I think I know by now when something in my home is not performing as it should. I have not had any jproblems with the service men who installed the air conditioning unit, they have been friendly and professional....the office staff leaves a lot to be desired. Their attitude is one of power and not of keeping customers satisfied. They talked to me as if I were an ignorant child.Desired Settlement: I would like my air conditioning unit checked out and repaired, if that is what is necessary.

Mr. [redacted] had called the week prior on a Friday stating his ac was working but it was going on and off. We told him we had an appointment on Monday and Mr. [redacted] said he was going to see what it did over the weekend and then would call us back for an appt if needed. Mrs. [redacted] called towards the end of the following week and during the cnversation with Mrs. [redacted], she was not cooperating with answering the questions that we had for her, which is also stated on her Service Agrement, and hung up on us without an appointment. I sent a tech out to their home later that afternoon but they did not answer the door. We left a "sorry we missed you notice" on the door asking them to call the office for a new appt. Mrs. [redacted] called for a new appointment and we went out and took care of the AC. Customer signed our work order that everything was complete and working and also answered on our workorders under "How was our service"as "excellent".

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The technicians are great, the company is great but the customer service is seriously lacking. Their response says that "Mr. [redacted]" called.....my husband has been dead for two years...I am the only caller. And I did NOT refuse to open the door for the technician, I wasn't aware that anyone was coming and was NOT home. I will do business with this company again but pray that, by the time it's necessary, they will have sent the office manager for some much needed instruction.
Review: In September 2014 we asked the Care Temp technician to check out the AC unit which had been tripping the inside the house circuit breaker. Technician advised us that the AC unit, coil and compressor were going to need to be replaced and if we did it immediately we would save $1500. We accepted the technician's word and paid $5050 for a replacement AC(both compressor and coil). The installation was completed 10/9/14. During the past two weeks the inside the house circuit breaker tripped 4 times always in the evening. The Care Temp technician who responded to the call started that there was no problem with the AC unit but we probably had a bad circuit breaker and needed an electrician to check it out. He stated that Care Temp would charge us to have their electrician to check out the breaker. We feel this is improper. If the original problem was merely a malfunctioning breaker as we are now being led to believe we should not have been sold a new AC unit for $5050. We would have had the breaker checked out. The least Care Temp should do is have their electrician to verify that the breaker is in fact defective and replace it if it is at their cost..Desired Settlement: Care Temp should determine precisely why the circuit breaker is tripping repeatedly and correct the problem at no charge to us.

Response:
This problem has been rectified on 7/20/15 and the breaker has been changed at Care Temp's cost as a courtesy.

Review: On April 23, 2013, I signed a contract to have an air conditioning unit installed. The unit had to be elevated. In June 2013 when the weather was in the 90s and I could not breath and after repeated phone calls, the company installed the air conditioner and put it on a temporary platform. The unit could have been installed in April this way - but it it was not. It's over a year later and the air conditioning unit/temporary platform is still not permanently installed and the platform with the air conditioning on it is leaning over. The company dug the holes around the beginning of April 2014 to permanently elevate the unit. The town did the inpection on April 24, 2014. The company has scheduled the date May 19, 2014 to pour the concrete to permanently install the platform. On May 2nd, I called the company and told them that the unit/platform is falling and only supported by 1 piece of wood which is surrounded by four hugh holes. A short time later I received a phone call back from the company and had to explain again what was wrong. I was told in June 2013, I needed to get a Survey and an Engeering Report before the unit could even be installed which delayed the process of installing the air conditioner. This cost me $1,200.00 which was probably not necessary because no one in my neighborhood had any to get any surveys when their units were installed.Desired Settlement: I want the job completed to my satisfaction. It should not take over a year to permanently install an air conditioner.
