ZERO stars... Fed up with this company. First time I didn't receive credit, I thought.. okay, maybe someones can gunk got on my crappy paper barcode. SO, I started placing a piece of clear heavy packing tape (flatly) over the barcode. Problem solved? NO... after not receiving credit again for a few MONTHS (because I have better things to do than look at my bottle redemption balance) I was dumbfounded. SO, I started photographing the bags with visible barcode labels before placing them in the kiosk. This month I have returned 4 bags, May 7th and May 25th. I have yet to receive credit for ONE can let alone 4 bags of cans. This is absolutely disgraceful. Waste of my time and effort. Waste of deposits and 1.00 for 10 green bags. OLCC and the State of Oregon need to figure something else out. I would NEVER want to be affiliated with this terrible company. When you go read the bottle bill PDF, THIS company is whom they refer consumers to. Wow... what a slap in the face. I am beyond angry!

I am being ripped off. Every time I return bags of bottles I rarely receive credit. I have made this same complaint here 3 months ago. After complaint I received credit for my bottles. Now same problem not getting credit. I have emailed company on several occasions with no response. I feel this company is a scam and Oregon state bottle return is a scam. There is no other organization in my state. This is a state ran monopoly and money scam. I shouldn't have to complain to the Revdex.com every time they scam me just to get a few bucks credit. The business will not return emails of phone calls until after a complaint with the Revdex.com. I am also reporting this to local news companies to warn Oregon residents to check there credits.

Hi ***,

Thank you for your comments and feedback. It is important to us that you are properly credited for the bags you return, and we are always willing to research any issues and resolve them. It sounds like you had a hard time reaching us via email, that is certainly not the goal. We work to respond to emails in the order in which they are received, and we have a high volume of inquiries coming in daily. We strive to respond to customers within 5 days. I see that you have been in contact with members of our customer service team via email regarding your bag issues. Please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with, we are here to help!As a note, BottleDrop is not a state run program. BottleDrop is a private company owned and operated by the Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative (OBRC), which is a not-for-profit cooperative. With that said, BottleDrop is not your only option for returning redeemable beverage containers in Oregon. Retailers that are a 2-3 mile radius away from a BottleDrop center are still required by Oregon law to accept back containers. I hope you've found this information useful, but please let us know if you have additional questions.

Best,BottleDrop Customer Service

I dropped 2 bottle drop bags off and my account was suspended. The reasons why they say overfilled, bag taped shut, overweight, over 25 glass bottles. I never received a notice about my account being suspended. I do not weigh my bags before dropping off and I didn't get a weight from them. There are no rules about "overfilled", tape (the bags are cheap and the cinch chord pulls right through the bag making it impossible to close the bag, so I put tape over it so bottles/cans won't spill all over their facility, there is a vague rule about only filling bag halfway with glass, nothing about 25 bottles.

With the bottle drop money for the cans and bottles get placed into your account which I can use to redeem money later. However when I went to try to redeem $99 from my account it wouldn't let me login. I had to go to the business and that's when they said my account was suspended. There is nothing that I can find on their website that says a account can be suspended for any of these violations, 3 of which are not listed as a violation. Again, I never was told the actual weight of the bags that they say are too heavy. I have been dropping off bags just like these for years and never had a problem.

I don't think legally they can keep me from accessing my money from my account because what their attendant deems a violation.

I am rejecting this response because:

I am recycling and being punished for it.

Returned bottles to bottledrop center in king city for 6+ months tell I discovered several dollars per bag were missing. Last month dropped 4 bags at tualatin fredmyer, pre counted for balance. Took pictures of tags for recording count. After 1 week I emailed bottledrop asking where my credit is. Very slow response. Got credit for 1 bag that day, two days later email again and got credit for 2 more bags and no response 1 week later email again and get response and credit for avrage bottle bag return because they cant find it. All bags returned had $10.30 in each bag. All my credits are different value from $7.60 to 10.10, 4 bags should have been $40 in credits I received $30.20. I believe employees or management stealing bags and parcel credits. Locations are very dirty lots of drug addicts hang around them leaving people in fear for there safety.

I am concerned that the bottle drop center in Bend is actually ripping people off. I pay to have my cans counted and the money deposited into an account through this business. The last 2 times they have only counted one bag. I am missing 2 bags now. I know that this might seem petty, but my two bags along with all the others adds up. I also try to talk to employees at the bottle drop and get no where. I feel as though someone should look into this.

I submitted my account withdrawal receipt for $44 to the BottleDrop Kiosk at the location. It printed out my receipt to be used at the payout station located directly next to first machine. It flashed the receipt was invalid. I tried again. Same result. I went to the person in charge and she indicated that the money had been paid out. It had not. I never left the payout station. She then pulled up my account and again said it had been paid out. It had not. I never left the payout station. She then gave me the flyer from the company telling me how to contact BottleDrop directly. She then stated "good luck as we have been trying to get them to come out and fix the problem but they do not respond." I am now out $44. I am on a fixed income and this is a terrible blow. Can you assist? I tried to contact them to no avail.

I have been a bottle drop customer since 2014. I know that they only take bottles that are only with the states redeemer amount. IN the state of *** it is now .10. In the last 2 months when I have dropped my bags at the bottle drop in *** in *** I have noticed that I have not been credited the amount due. My son and I check all the bottles for the code and the amount, and we also count how many are going into the bag. The last 3 bags have had 3.20 each. And for two weeks I have check my account and find out that I have only been credited 1.75. Which was from the bag from one week ago. I emailed the person in charge, and filed a complaint. And she had enough nerve to say that the bottles were from out of state. (The neighboring state is ***) and the bottle drop is on the border. And we live and have lived in ***. And we keep up with the bottle drop news and what is redeemable and what is not. She went so far as to say all the bottles were none redeemable. Which is not the case. All of the bottles have the .10 Or each on them. I contacted her and her answer was to give me a 2.00 credit for the bottles. Which leaves my account 7.60 short. They need to be watching their help, as someone is stealing. This needs to be taken care of, and I want my money. And I am not the only *** resident who has had this problem.

BottleDrop Customer Service team credited account a total of $2.00 on 8/24/18 after an email exchange, where non -deposit items was discussed in effort to educate customer on *** Bottle Bill containers and bag program.

We do have a nominal processing fee of 0.35 per bag and we do ask for our green bag customers to allow up to five days for processing. Customer's average bag valued over the last year has been $3.50.

I've deposited an additional $7.60 into account today to fully resolve any question regarding our system. We have alternatives to using bags, we offer a self serve return mode, using reverse vending machines where customers feed containers and are refunded immediately, if customers prefer.

The *** BottleDrop has been open for one year as of 8/22/18.

Thank you.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Also, I am and have lived in *** for over 40 years and I know when a deposit is .10. I don't appreciate being talked down too, nor being lectured. I go on the bottle drop and have a news letter emailed to me on a monthly basis. I know what is and what isn't refundable. I will accept this but, I want them to have keep track of their employees. And make them accountable. Also we lived in *** when the very first one opened in Oregon City. I know about bottle drop.
Sincerely

can not drop off as room is stuffed to the point of bottles falling out when you open door.

many bags dropped off that were never credited to account.

cheap ink for laser codes that disappears when it gets wet so that bag is not counted.

kiosk is not working ...will not print new tags.

store has no bags to sell.

no one in store has any idea how to fix or even contact bottle drop.

I dropped two bags of cans off at the *** Location on 7/30/18 around 5-6pm and they only gave me credit for 1 bad according to my bag history on their website. I had about $8 stolen from me because of this. I've called their 877 number listed on their website multiple times. They do not answer the phone and ask to leave a detailed message. After doing that multiple times over multiple days I still have not heard back from them.

BottleDrop Response • Aug 27, 2018

Hello Mr.,

In a review of your account transactions, I see we credited two bags on 8/4/18 both totaling 14.70 less the .70 (0.35 per bag processing fee), toal of $14.00.

Theses are the only bags received and processed in your account since July 7, 2018. We do ask our customer sot allow 5 days for processing in our peak season, summer months.

Also, as an alternative if you wish, you may use our self serve machines inside to return and collect refund immediately.

Please feel free to call our toll free number and leave a detailed message with contact information, as we are committed to returning calls within 24 hours. We have recently expanded our Customer Service team now providing seven day a week coverage.

We do appreciate your business and look forward to assisting you with your can and bottles in the future.

Thank you,

BottleDrop

I dropped off a partially full green bag at the sw jefferson *** last week. it was half full due to me dropping off my *** at *** that day and the rest of it dropped off in the green bag location at this *** three blocks from my apt. I op purpose for no reason what so ever put to stickers on the bag. I waited three days and watch to see if it appeared on my account. it didnt so I emailed customer services and called, leaving my info I havent heard anything back. I just checked again tonight it hasnt showed up. I emailed again tonight.

a couple months ago I over heard a guy whom lived on the street say he got an account and scans his card and when the door opens he slaps his sticker on bags!!!

ever since I heard that I have been making sure my bag is way back I tossed my bag back to make sure it wasnt able to be grabbed by any bag thieves!!!

my problem is no one is responding to my emails and my bag I still not showing up on my bag history, which makes me not want to drop anymore bags in the drop, which I the closet to my home. plus no one has responded to my phone message I left last week.

When submitting containers in the green bags which I pay for, the credit comes up short 100% of the time. It's time to file a complaint with the ***t.

This place is horrible. First off, my local bottle return depot is always nasty & filthy, even when nobody's there doing bottles, & when I call the to complain about it (in addition to the OLCC call I've made) the lady was very condescending, asked to hear the complaint in full, then waited til the very very end to tell me complaints go to another department & that she will have them call me back.
When I ask why she didn't tell me to begin with, & does she at least have notes on the conversation or a copy of the call to pass on so I don't have to repeat everything, she tells me she did not, that they don't record calls, & that doing so is illegal (which it isn't in 39 states including Oregon (where we're both located)). I'm sick and tired of these people blatantly wasting my time.
When I told her that was ridiculous & that I'd also like a callback from her superior, she implied I wouldn't be getting said callback. Just like every call made from my land line - I have a copy of said call..

I send the following go the bottle drop last week never got a response and never showed up. And I never got response.

It has almost been two weeks since my cans have been counted, not only did you raise the price of everything but you have slowed down. Its not ok

this is not the first time I have experience mis-can counts or the stated can counting service to be misstated. They have and excuse, I am a care giver my clients honestly have nothing better to do with their free time but maybe count their cans and see how many fit in a bag and one one clients counted he says he 55 in a bag. he was shorted once and was told by the bottle center drop person that sometime the counter who human estimates and a number down. however was shorted. I email bottle whenever I have a question. I got over the make that 24 or 48 hour can drop can be actually 3 days to even a week in half, I waited that long once. plus I get doct 30 cent for the green bag I already paid for. So charged twice and wait longer, you might say could go the bottle site except I have work and attend college. plus it not convenient for me to go there and come back. many have lost the Oregon right to redeem our bottle deposit. something needs to be done for my missing bag and also for one whos bag is being mis counted. I feel like I am being robbed and I am the one out, I paid for that bag which was stole. I have filled my bags full to the top, except one which was due to me going out of town and didnt to come home to smelly cans. I also get my cans from outside around town. I have sadly and honestly my can count has been way low not many at the 5$ mark. I simply have grown tired of questioning and no one caring. but the last couple 3$ and 1.90 credits have gone to far I want my money I want it all back. also the amount of can credit is removed after the money it recieved no one can see the average and inconstant of return amount unless they written it
