I had my 1998 Ford F150 towed to Anderson Ford. I was given an estimate for out the door of $1300 to fix brakes, rotors, and spinner on my right front tire that broke off while driving it. My dad had emergency surgery and I called them and told them not to do it that I was going to have it towed to my house and do it myself. When I call Gary said to bad I already started the truck. I asked him to stop and take out the parts that he put in because I did not authorize him to fix the car. He refused. He proceeded to tell me that I needed additional work of$150.00 more because it needed to have a wheel alignment and caps put on the car. I told him I cannot afford it. I'm a full-time student with a part-time job. Right now with my father needing emergency surgery I was not working. I cannot pay for unauthorized work being done to the truck. I went into Anderson Ford 9/16/19 and asked Gary if I can make payments on it. I need my truck for work. I can go back to work but have no way to get there. He refused and proceeded to tell me that if I don't pay for it with two months that he was going to start charging me storage fees. I told Gary without my truck I cannot get to work, He said too bad, I dont' care. Pay me to there will be storage fees on it. I said well it looks like I won't be getting my truck back ever. I asked for my old parts and Gary refused to show me the old part.

While it is true that the truck was towed her to get fixed and we gave an estimate of $1300 approx to get fixed the rest is not. My service manager talked to the customer and his mom aug 29th at 3 o'clock and they both authorized the work to be done. at the est amount $1300. I don't know where the confusion is coming from. I have worked with Gary S for 9 years and he wrote down the time and date the work was authorized.

a franchise in Anderson owned by Anderson Ford, performed substandard repairs on my 2014 Nissan Maxima. I was called 5 times to say "It is ready" and each time the car looked worse than before. The 5th time, the work still was substandard.
I left and drove straight to a Nisssan Certified body shop and received an estimate for $2018 to repair ***s work. I left there and got a 2nd estimate at another body shop which was $1900.
I have witnesses, pictures and 2 estimates to repair the shoddy work and put my car back the way it should be. I have tried to resolve through *** to no avail.

I also have a detailed trip by trip summary which was too long to include here that I can provide upon request.

Anderson Ford Response • Aug 26, 2019

I would like to see the estimate from the Nissan body shop. We did take the Nissan in and had suggested that the bumper be replaced because of damage or previous paint work. We did try on multiple occasions to fix this issue without replacing the bumper. After we could not fix it to her satisfaction we did not charge her a penny for the work we had performed. Now she wants us to pay the difference to get the work we had suggested in the first place. We have not charged her anything for what we did but we are certainly are not going to pay for her to get it fixed somewhere else.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

No one at *** EVER suggested that I needed a new bumper until the 5th and final trip. If they had, I would have had no problem replacing it. Whit B gave me the original estimate at ***. Dakota reached out on Monday with paperwork for me to sign and NEVER mentioned needing to replace the bumper. I met with Thad most of the times I went to pick up my car and he NEVER mentioned replacing the bumper. On the 5th and final time I went for my car, the new GM told me "The bumper should have been replaced. I picked up my car that day and went straight to 2 other body shops to get estimates on fixing my car back to it's proper state. The bumper was not even mounted on the car properly. See *** estimates. I have emailed the original estimates from 2 body shops and the final bill from *** where the repairs were made to the Revdex.com. When I picked up my car the 5th time, it looked as if it had been wrecked, in addition to the sloppy paint work: ripples in the paint and paint around trim on bumper looked as if a first grader had painted the bumper. As I have said, I have witnesses and over 80 pictures. If they do not agree to pay me the difference in what I was going to pay them and what it cost me to have their work repaired, we will be going to court.

I see the invoice and it has replacing the bumper included in it and also it say insurance was paying for the damage? So why would we reimburse you even if we did admit fault? If we were originally allowed to replace the bumper it would have been fixed by us but we never had that option. We did not charge you for any worked we performed and we will not be paying for work you had done elsewhere.

My insurance did not pay for this. The final *** estimate clearly shows SELF PAY at the very top of the page. Also, I included my receipt where my credit card was charged on the copy of the final bill from *** sent to Revdex.com and Ford. I never reported it to my insurance company and was willing to pay for the damage out of pocket since it was close to my deductible amount. My insurance company can verify that no claim was ever filed and no payment was made by insurance company. I will bring this evidence into court when we go.

I have now spend over 45 days, 23 phone calls and 17 text messages trying to get this horrible dealer to give me a refund on the repairs that I had to put an a vehicle I purchased from them. Within the first 2 times driving the 14 Lincoln I bought, I had to take the car into the Lincoln dealer to have brakes, rotors, the seat repaired, the switch on the sterering replaced, and not to mention some other items. I can not get ANY RESOLUTUON and have now spoken with 7 different people. The last two that were supposed to help was Garrett and Jesse. Nope, no help

Please review the attached signed documents. The AS IS / No Dealer Warranty form and We Owe form was signed by the client at time of purchase and the client was fully aware of the implications of both documents. The vehicle in question was sold AS IS with no warranty implied nor promised. We do make every effort to make sure our clients are satisfied and happy with our service. We did offer to take a look at the clients vehicle. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Nick CGeneral Manager

I bought a used car from Anderson Ford in Anderson, South Carolina. When I was talking to the sales representative he assured me the car had been inspected and had no oil leaks. I asked about this numerous times. There was no buyers guide or inspection paper on the vehicle. So after I purchased the vehicle I took it to BMW to have it inspected and there are 7,000$ worth of oil leaks and coolant leaks that need to be done. I purchased the ford extended care warranty when I bought the car. I went back to Anderson Ford and spoke with the warranty guy and he assured me the warranty would cover my repairs and that it would not be considered pre -existing to me because I just bought the car, he said if it was pre-existing it would be to Ford not me. So he told me to file the claim with the warranty company. Well of course they denied to pay because they said it was pre-existing. I have spoken to the manager here at Anderson Ford with no resolve to my issue. I love the car and want to keep it, but I feel that I shouldn’t have to pay for the repairs. Had I known it had leaks I would not have bought the car to begin with. Also, I have asked for a copy of the inspection they did but they have any paperwork showing they checked the car before selling it to me. Please help resolve my issue without me having to file a lawsuit.

We will be glad to trade the client out of the vehicle. I did make them aware of that. The vehicle was sold AS IS and has no warranty from the dealership. The client was made aware that the vehicle was modified and had no warranty before purchase. The vehicle being sold As Is was not an issue nor concern for the client at the time of purchase. We are here to help.

Customer Response • Feb 04, 2019

This is my response to Ford: I seen the response from Anderson Ford. However I did inquire about leaks at the time of purchase and they assured me that their mechanic had inspected the vehicle and there were no leaks. They said nothing about the vehicle being modified when I was there purchasing the car and there was no inspection sticker or buyers guide on the car. The car hadn’t even been cleaned yet because they just took it in as a trade from someone else. As far as the warranty, yes they did sell me an extended warranty for $3,500 which was included on the check I wrote them. We have asked for a copy of the inspection they did prior to selling the car but according to the sells rep there they did not do an inspection before we purchased the car. I would not have bought the car had they been honest when I asked about leaks. I would not have spent $25,500.00 on a car that had problems. Who in their right mind would have? I took the car to BMW to have an inspection on my own to be sure everything was good and they found oil leaks, coolant leaks, bent rim, etc. So if Ford did an inspection before they sold me the car, why didn’t they find these problems. After bmw showed me what they found I went straight back to the Ford place and spoke with Alexus ( I think is his name, but they have fired him so he no longer works there) he assured me the warranty would cover whatever needed to be fixed and to go ahead and file the claim. I asked if it would be considered pre-existing and he said no, if it were pre-existing for anyone it would be to Ford because they would have inspected the car before selling us a warranty. I’m not asking for my money back on the car, I just want what I was supposed to be sold to begin with a car without leaks. As far as them offering me credit towards another vehicle, I don’t want a Ford, the only reason I bought this car is because it is a bmw. I just want them to cover the repair cost which I believe is fair.

The vehicle was sold AS IS with no warranty implied or otherwise. The proper Buyers Guide was presented, signed, executed by the client and is in the file here at our dealership. The client was fully aware that this vehicle had no warranty what so ever and purchased the vehicle AS IS of their own volition. The Buyers Guide was removed at test drive. At time of sale the state approved Buyers Guide was presented, gone over once again and signed by the client. In the interest of customer satisfaction we have offered to trade the client out of the vehicle to no avail. If the client is in fact not pleased with the vehicle, we will trade them out of the vehicle. We cannot pay for repairs to a vehicle that is not under any dealer warranty what so ever. The trade in offer is limited to this week as the used vehicle market is extremely volatile and not consistent. Pls advise as to what the client would like to do. Glad you are part of our continued success! Feel free to contact Nick C at 864-***.

The vehicle was sold as is with no warranty implied or otherwise offered. I have offered to trade them out of the car. With the car being sold as is there is no coverage for any repairs. The client was made well aware of this and signed documents to its affect. Pls feel free to contact me with any questions as we do want to assist in any way possible.

Mr. I understand your reluctance to drive this vehicle. Unfortunately, it is a "used" vehicle and used vehicles sometimes have problems. We had no idea there was a problem. We did not break your vehicle. The good news is as a dealer Anderson Ford stands by their vehicles. Most dealerships tell you when you purchase its yours and good luck.

2017 F350 truck had hill assist fault message come up and truck shut down in safe mode. Towed to dealer had for 10 days and changed oil and 2 fuel filters for $456.00. On way home same message came up with shut down overheating message also. Towed back and now at 11 days with only diagnostics run. Was given a loaner after 3 days of service advisor Brandon saying it was Ford policy to only give for warranty work but they could not determine if it was warranty work because they had not looked at truck yet. Finally got loaner Ford Escape. I have a 38 ft LQ horse trailer that I use truck to haul. Have 4 horses also. Need truck to move trailer and horses out of Hurricane Florence track. They absolutely do not care !! No communication unless I call them. Service advisor Brandon acts like this is a joke and is rude. Always had Fords and so has my family. This is my 4 th truck but I am DONE ! This dealership cannot service a diesel timely because they only have one diesel mechanic. $70;000 truck dead in the water. Buying a Chevy if I ever get this fixed

Utter disappointment with this company. We bought a 2018 F150 at Anderson Ford Mazda in April of 2018. While the buying experience was a little pushy, we expected that, overall it was ok. The salesman pushed for us to give him a 10 star review and offered a free tank of gas for it, so we gave it to him. After that, I realized that I didn't want the extended warranty or GAP that was literally pushed on me after 3 hours of their buying experience. I called the General Manager in April to cancel these policies and even to this date, September 2018 it has not been paid back to the finance company. I have been given the most horrific run around I have ever experienced from ANY company. The General Manager said he would cancel it and when I checked and found out it had not been canceled, he told me I would have to do it, which is ridiculous but I agreed if he would send me the paperwork to do it. Two weeks, no paperwork. I sent my wife to go get the paperwork and as we found out a couple of months down the road he did not give her everything needed to cancel it all. My wife went back in to the dealership in July to make sure it was done and spoke with the office manager. She assured my wife that everything was canceled and gave her a confirmation page. When I checked the first week in September nothing has been paid back to the principle and the finance company said they had not received payment back from the dealership. When I called and spoke with the office manager she told us there had been fraud involving the check that was supposed to have been sent out months ago and that we were just out that money. I sent an email letter to the owner of Anderson Ford Mazda and to the Ford Customer Relationship Center in Michigan. I have heard from no one, it has been over a week. This has been a horrible experience over something that should have taken no more than 2 minutes out of anyones time, including mine.
