When speaking with Ryan on the phone, he did not say he was going to install the unit outside next to the loopIf he had, I would not be in this situationIf you look at the attached photo, all Ryan did was connect the two water lines to the existing loopMrsR [redacted] instructed Ryan that the unit needed to be installed inside next to the water softener, which is why he originally wrote that on the estimateWhen MrsR [redacted] signed the paper work, she was not shown where the unit was installed, not was not given instructions on how to use the unitAdditionally they added the salt bags that were sitting next to the water heater "inside" the laundry roomWe we planning to return those salt bags in exchange for potassiumEven with a reasonable trip charge of $+ labor to cut the two pipes and screw on the water lines, that does not equal the $that I paid at SEARS to have one of their recommended plumbers come out to do the installAll Ryan needed to do was take an extra min and drop the water hoses down from the loop on the INSIDE of the wall instead of the outside and all of this could have been avoidedThe work needs to be completed the as discussed at no additional charge to me, since I already pre-paid for the necessary labor to have it installed at the requested location

This is one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt withIt begins with their phone system that hangs up on you after you've spent a couple of minutes on holdI purchased an appliance through SearsAmerican Home Services (AHS) contracts with Sears to install some appliancesI get a call the day before my delivery to confirm delivery windowThe day of expected delivery, I get a call in the middle of the delivery window informing me that they can't come out because Sears' warehouse didn't have my dryerI ask for warehouse number and am told by Sears that the dryer was there sitting in the warehouseI call AHS back and tell them that and they acted surprised They then call Sears to confirm and I was correct, but they still can't deliver because the technician is out of the area, but they can reschedule for the next dayI already took off basically a whole day and I was not about to sit around waiting hoping they would come the following day, so I wanted a specific window They said they couldn't do that even though they screwed up and the technician was quick to say he can't do the jobI do not recommend anyone using AHS and as long as Sears contracts with them, I will never make another appliance purchase through Sears
We did not have an Appliance experience with this company Instead, we experienced one of their workers driving on the road Wreck-less, harassing, riding rear bumpers, passed us on the shoulder of the road and then giving people the middle finger out the window Virginia Tags on the service Van - VBX-9263, vehicle ID on 06/30/ If this person drives like this on the road, we can only imagine how their service to customers would be This person does not represent their company well at all, and due to this incident, we would not use or recommend them
When we arrived at the house to do this install MrsR*** was home, she showed Ryan a hose bib thinking it was the loopRyan explained to her that was not a loop and gave her an estimate to have a loop installed as well as the drain lineAfter Ryan gave her the estimate MrM*** called and told
Ryan where the loop was at outside, Ryan then said he could install the water softener next to the loopThe mention in the estimate about installing next to the water softener was if we were going to install the loop, after discovering that they had a loop there was no discussion on moving the water softener insideMrs R*** then signed off on the install and Ryan leftThe next day Mr M*** called and I returned his call explaining to him that we could move his water softener inside for $if that is what he wantedHe said he wanted it done for free, I explained to him that it is standard procedure to install the water softener next to the loop and we would have to charge him to move itMr Metz then began to get upset so to try and appease him I reduce the cost from $to $but that was as low as I could go.He said no he wanted it done for free and I told him we could not do that and to have a nice day and ended the conversation
They have earned their "F" rating with us Bought a Sears appliance and installation The installation was contracted out to this companyInstallation was scheduled days prior to the installation We were called at 8:AM on the day of installation to verify We verifiedWe missed a call from them several hours later The voicemail message stated that since we didn't have the appliance, they were cancelling the install Actually, the appliance had been delivered several days agoThey only have office hours 9-4, and apparently only have one phone lineIt is next to impossible to get through to them, and they don't allow voice messages to be leftWe ended up having to call Sears, through whom we ordered the install, to get through to them Now they can no longer come today, but have rescheduled for days from nowI certainly hope the person who comes to install has more expertise than the office staff
First I've heard of thisWhat is the complaint??
Concerning Mr. M[redacted] It is common practice to set the water softener right in front of the loop, not only for my company but it is the industry practice. The price negotiated with the retailer is to set the unit in front of the loop (plumbing). If additional work is wanted by the consumer then they need to express those desires to the installer. The estimate that we gave to the customer was if the house did not have a water softener loop for reasons stated in our first response. The installer that did this job has over 20 years with my company, with high customer satisfaction scores. I am not changing my position on this matter. The consumer has no problem telling mis truths just to get his way. I questioned both the installers on this job and both stated that Mrs. R[redacted] was shown how the unit works before she signed the certificate of completion.
I purchased a replacement Dishwasher from Sears and American Home Services AHS was contracted to make the delivery, installation and haul-away of the existing unit. When they contacted me about delivery they gave me the date and time they would deliver without any options. Upon arrival the installer told me I needed to have a portion of my tile floor removed so that he could install the unit. Now I have to call AHS and reschedule another installation date, which was more than a week away. The new installers arrive and tell me that the unit would not fit in the space provided (despite the existing unit being the same size) and they refused to install the unit. They left the new unit in the box that was wet from the rain in the middle of my floor and left. I had to hire someone else to install the unit (although I had paid Sears for installation). When I called them to come back and pick up the old unit I was told to call Sears because they completed the order and it was closed. It took more than 3 requests from Sears to get someone to come out and retrieve the old unit which should have been picked up at the point the new unit was dropped off. AHS is the worst possible business for customer service and actually completing the job they have been paid to do. Their installers give different conflicting information to the customers. I would NOT recommend anyone do business with AHS.
American Home Services charged me extra money to install an appliance tha t I purchased from Sears when I called them with an issue about the installation process they said they had no record of charging extra money and no record of me paying extra money they must have only one phone line if no one answers you can not even leave a message. [redacted] was refunded her $247.00 and permit issued and passed inspection. Regards, Rebecca

Additionally they added the salt bags that were sitting next to the water heater "inside" the laundry room. We we planning to return those salt bags in exchange for potassium. Even with a reasonable trip charge of $75 + labor to cut the two pipes and screw on the water lines, that does not equal the $260 that I paid at SEARS to have one of their recommended plumbers come out to do the install. All Ryan needed to do was take an extra 20 min and drop the water hoses down from the loop on the INSIDE of the wall instead of the outside and all of this could have been avoided. A Water-heater was installed by this company improperly. I called the original company that I purchased this water-heater from which was sears to let them know and they had one of there techs come to my home only for them to see that it was dpne improperly and they even took pictures of what work wasn't done and put in there notes that it needs to be done right. The tech stated the he could not touch or mess with any thing because he was not a plumber. He also stated that sears was responsible for the work that was done and that they need to fix the problem. I then call sears only for them to transfer me to the outside contractors who installed the water heater. Was never informed that I was being transferred. The manager from American home services instantly began yelling stating that I should have had it checked when I first had it installed and that they were not responsible for how it was installed and that they dont have to provide new equipment with a new water heater. She continued to yell as if I was at fault for what a worker from her company did wrong. Very unprofessional very poor customer service.
Review: I paid 25K for 2 new porches and a concrete patio to be constructed last September. The concrete patio has 2 cracks (one from each side) that are spreading toward the middle. We did not use the patio much as winter has set in right after the team completed the project. We have called Mr [redacted] as well as his foreman to see if we can get this fixed. We were told they would have someone come out to look at it. After several weeks and another call to Mr [redacted] today, which he did not answer, I am reaching out to see if you can help me.Desired Settlement: Need to have concrete ripped up and replaced. If not willing to do I want full refund for the cost of the concrete and labor to remove and have new installed by another contractor
