Review: We were hit recently, by a [redacted] in San Francisco, CA. His insurance Company is Alliance United Insurance Company, and it has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. Turns out this company is a scam, as just discovered on Yelp: http://www.yelp.com/biz/alliance-united-insurance-company-camarillo. None of our calls and requests have been returned by its agent [redacted], Claim # 21**63. We've waited WAY too long for them to sign off on our car. And the amount of time we've had to charge for the rental car has been totally unnecessary. The chiropractic bills are adding up, again, still no response from the company concerning any of this. We're outraged at the lack of competence your insurance company and it's agent have shown throughout this process.Desired Settlement: Payment for the repairs to our car, payment for the rental car, and payment for the visits to the Chiropractor.

Review: I was involved in an auto accident with an individual who has car insurance with Alliance United. It was determined that the vehicle that struck me is 100% at fault! Since the time of the accident on August 28, 2014 I have received nothing but the run around (i.e. Our client doesn't return our calls, we don't have a copy of the police report, we are waiting to hear back as to who was driving the car, the car had been borrowed, etc, etc). This is costing me a lot of money as I have been forced to drive a vehicle that gets no where the gas mileage that my Honda, the car that was wrecked, got. I feel it very unprofessional the was this has/ and is being handled. I see several complaints wherein this seems to be common practice for this company. I know that you have the police report ( I provided it for you) there is no question of fault so this claim needs to be paid. I need for my car to be fixed without further delay.Desired Settlement: This claim needs to be paid without further delay.

Response:

Being involved in a collision can be a frustrating experience.Regretfully, our coverage investigation is contingent upon the cooperation of our insured and the operator of our insured’s vehicle on the date of loss. At this time, our coverage investigation remains incomplete. Once we have been able to gather all of the necessary information to conclude our investigation we will contact you directly. Your complaint states you need your vehicle to be repaired without further delay. In cases like this, you may wish to contact your carrier directly as we cannot predict the outcome or the duration of our investigation. Again, our coverage investigation is contingent upon the cooperation of our insured and the operator of our insured’s vehicle on the date of loss.

Review: I was involved in a car accident on Feb 8, 2014 with a driver insured by alliance insurance. He was at fault. My car is still in the repair shop waiting for final payment to be made by Alliance Insurance. I call every single day and leave a message for the person handling my claim, she does not return my calls. It is now over 60 days that I have be without my car, I am also asking for loss of use of my car which I would like to be paid $200.00 a week for that. The repair shop has called her and her supervisor with no reply either. We want our car back, and I am tired of making these calls every single day. Thank you very much. I should not have to be going through this as I was hit by their insured! There is no way it should take this long for our car to come back to us, we could of had our car many weeks ago if they would of sent the final check.Desired Settlement: Final Check to Repair Shop. $200 per week for loss of use of my car/now over 60 days.

I am rejecting this response because: This is what we are going through with Alliance, just the other reply we were told the check when out 5/19/2014 look at other reply to you. Then they told [redacted] at repair shop they were faxing the check to him. Then I was told they were mailing the check to me yesterday, so now my car is still in the shop and we are still without our car. When I tried to explain to adjuster that we want loss of use of car she did not understand why we are out so long, this is why. We have a letter from repair shop stating why are car has been in shop so long and how his calls are not returned. I guess if we have to go to small claims court for Loss of use that is what we will do. We should not have to be going through this, as we were not at fault in this accident.

Review: I was involved in a motorcycle accident when a driver changed lanes into me and struck the right side of my motorcycle. The driver is insured by this company, Alliance United Insurance. During the initial conversation with the adjuster my statement and details of the event were recorded. After my statement was taken the adjuster informed me that my statements and the statements of the other driver were very similar. The other driver stated that he was changing lanes and the only major difference between our statement of the events was that he thought that I was also changing lanes. I informed the adjuster that this was absolutely incorrect. I repeated that I was lane sharing and the other driver changed lanes striking me.The adjuster assured me that this seemed very cut and dry, I should not worry, and that I would hear back in about 10 days. I received a letter denying legal liability on the part of Alliance United and that they would not pay for my repairs because the driver was now stating that he DID NOT change lanes, he was driving straight and I changed lanes and struck his vehicle. He has changed his story and the insurance company has made no attempt to verify the facts. The damage is not that substantial, but I should NOT have to pay out of pocket for something that was not my fault.Desired Settlement: There were no follow up calls or requests for information made to me. To my knowledge NO INVESTIGATION of any kind has been done, I was never called for additional information, no request for a copy of the police report filed has been made. This appears to be a clear case of the insurance company blindly taking the side of its policy holder instead of doing its job, performing a full investigation, and when appropriate making people whole after an accident.

Business

Response:

Dear Mr.[redacted],

Thank you for your inquiry.

Our insured informed us there were no witnesses and the police report was not conducted at the scene of the collision. With this in mind, it would appear the facts are your version versus our insured’s version.

As such, based upon the information we have received to date, we believe you were the cause of this loss.

If you have any additional information which may allow us to reconsider our position kindly contact the handling adjuster [redacted]

Review: Its been a month since the accident and not been able to fix anything all they keep telling is that they are not able to contact their insured. I also have a police report But Gregory Koon told that dont matter to them. All I want is my car to get fix I have no headlight or signal light on the driver side and that makes really hard to drive at night. I been really patient but there taking advantage of that I really need my car fix and there not doing anything to get that done.Desired Settlement: all I want is for my car to get fix asap and a rental for the time my car is in the shop this is a real hassle for me!!!

Review: Claim number 274057. On September 7, 2015, this company's insured rear-ended me while I was driving with my wife and all six kids in the van. I called my insurance company and they contacted Alliance United to have them open a claim, since it was clearly the fault of their insured. He was cooperative at the scene, and no police report was filed. They had an appraiser come out to inspect the damage on my vehicle. After that everything stalled. I have called Alliance United, and specifically my designated claims rep, more than 20 times. I have not received one single callback in almost two months. In order to make anything happen at all, I have had to call many many times until I happen to get her on the line - the vast majority go to voicemail, with no call back. (If I didn't have a flexible work schedule I would be totally sunk.) Alliance United kept telling me that their insured hadn't given them a statement: this, even though he was on the phone talking with them the day it happened, in front of my own eyes. Two months have gone by, they have not called me back once, and they still telling me that they still can't get a statement from their own insured. I faxed them his insurance ID card (which they issued, with their own bar code on it), which he gave me at the scene. I also faxed pictures of him and his car at the scene. No response from them, as usual. Finally, just short of two months since the accident, they send me a letter denying the claim, since they "can't" get hold of their insured. Since they "can't" call me back a single time after more than 20 calls, I conclude they don't operate in good faith, or that they don't have sufficient staff to operate an insurance company.Desired Settlement: Alliance United should take responsibility for its insured, who hit my car in a textbook rear-end collision.

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: Claim # 2[redacted]67. My vehicle was damaged in an accident by one of this company's insured. The claim agent that was assigned, Timothy F[redacted] (800-508-5833 Ext. 6671), never answers his phone and does not return phone calls. The third party assessor the company hired, Mega Appraisers, says that they had someone (Jose Salazar, 619-638-3428) take pictures of the damage to my car while I was not present. I then receive a letter and a check from Alliance (Mr. F[redacted]) stating that the damage was assessed at $722.32. The repair estimate from the body shop is $1388.63 and does not include a rental car for the estimated 4 days that the repairs will take. I called Mega Appraisers who states that the car needs to be at the body shop and taken apart while their assessor is there. Why did they make an assessment based on pictures that they may or may not have even taken (they refuse to provide a copy of the assessment or pictures). The assessment should have been done that way in the first place if that is what they require. It has been almost two months since the accident which they admit was the fault of their insured and they are trying everything they can to delay repairing my vehicle.Desired Settlement: I want my vehicle repaired and for Alliance to pay the full price for the repairs and a rental car for the duration of the repair. They have admitted the fault of their insured and are liable for the full amount.

Review: Everything started when my car was parked on mall parking lot and somebody hit my car, then I did a claim report (Claim # G[redacted]07) to my Insurance service (Alliance United Insurance) on the 08/10/2015, after 3 days they call me regarding it, but I could not answer the phone, I just call back the company many times without receive any call or answer. the 08/20/2015 I called then with mo answer and I left a message saying that if they don't call me My lawyer going to call them, after that message 10 minutes later I received the call from the insurance company, the person in charge (the adjuster) who called me treated me so bad and that person did not take my declaration about the accident, at the end he took my declaration and said he gonna call me later, until today nobody has called to me. My car was in the body shop since 08/10/2015 waiting they send the check to cover the repairs that my car needs.Desired Settlement: I expect that my car was cover by the insurance company with the check to cover the expenses of the body shop, I have not had my car for more than one month and for sure there is gonna extra char for the storage of my car I want the insurance company also cover those extra charges. I want the act intermediately to resolve this issue. I cant understand why the take so long with this case I have to borrow a car and it is so difficult to me, I am losing money because I work with my car. Thnak you

Review: On November 6th of 2013 an illegal immigrant driving a vehicle insured by Alliance United hit my vehicle, fled the scene and abandoned the vehicle. After locating and gaining proper insurance information from the vehicle that had hit mine a claim was submitted that evening. I have continually been harassed with automated letters sent to my address with the same information on each letter. I have called and left 10's of numerous voicemails to the appropriate parties at Alliance United as instructed by these harassing letters and have not been able to reach anyone nor have any of the messages I left been replied to. These claim needs to be resolved by Alliance United so my vehicle can be fixed, it's been almost 4 months now with no word from Alliance United and based on the online reviews I don't see hope for a resolution to this claim, EVER.Desired Settlement: Deal with the claim appropriately so that my vehicle may be fixed.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9945116, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I had really poor experience dealing with this insurance company. I got rear ended by a car insured with their company. I notified them in the next day and got an agenet assigned to me. I was told the agent would call me, but she never did. Then I called her almost 10 times in a week and left messages, she never called me back. I also called a manager, but again it's only messages. I called her colleagues, they said they will notify her, but still no replies. Her name is [redacted], extension 3622. I am really frustrated by this company's practice. Seems like they only care about selling policies and collecting money from customers, but not taking care of claims at all or deliberately delaying the process until you give up. I would not recommend anyone to buy insurance product from this company.

Review: I, Annette Torres-lopez traded in my 2002 Honda CRV on 5/23/2014 who had insurance with Alliance Auto United threw Adriana's Insurance. The same day I did the Trade at Toyota of El Cajon on 5/23/2014. I called from the dealer asking to cancel my insurance since I no longer had the 2002 Honda CRV, they agreed to cancel it but never told me to go in and sign anything. Since I had direct deposit Alliance insurance kept taking money out of my bank account for the dates 6/5/2014 for the amount of 137.72 and on 7/10/2014 for the amount of 143.98. On august 7, 2014 I went in to Adriana's insurance located at [redacted] E Plaza Blvd, National City, CA 91950 phone number, ###-###-####, to claim for my money. The manager [redacted], send Alliance Auto United a fax with trade in copy of the vehicle, and a back date cancellation statement with my card information, phone number to reach me at, and the following information about the trade in. I called a week later and was told I would be refunded a total of 281.70 that would be deposit into my bank account in a couple of days that would be August 20th, I waited and didn't receive it, so I called again. Then I was told that it should be in shortly that accounting where behind on their paper work but will give them a notice of me calling. I waited several more days by that time I was outrageously upset of being lied to. The third time I called they said they had mailed it to me since the card number was invalid but had already been mailed. So I waited once again, the fourth time I called Alliance Insurance stated that it had been mailed a different date and I ask to speak to a manger, he was rude and dint help the situation at all. He told me my refund will be mailed by Monday September 8, 2014, it is now Wednesday September 10, 2014 and my refund has still not been given back to me.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my refund back of 281.70

Review: 10223602

I am rejecting this response because: this doesn't solve anything with the customer service issue I have continued to have.

Regards,

Review: Alliance United Insurance Company lists your organization on their website, touting themselves as providing "the best of customer service" and allegedly focusing on "service and timeliness" in handling claims. My experience was quite different than that.

On January 3, 2014 I Was rear-ended by their insured on a clear-visibility day, While Waiting at a red light. This was a Friday, and I called Alliance United on Saturday, and then again on Monday and gave them my statement. I was told by their adjuster that they did not have enough information to make a decision on liability and so they couldn't fix my car--but yet they offered me a couple of hundred dollars to sign a liability Waiver and go get a few "massages." How could they possibly have enough information to settle out all of my injury claims for small money -- but not have enough information to determine they are also responsible for fixing my car, and formally accept liability for the entire accident? This is underhanded at best--and probably unethical.

At this early stage, I requested Alliance United provide me a rental car. They tried to push me off to my own insurer, Who have nothing to do with this claim because the accident was totally Alliance United's responsibility. Anybody could tell that from looking at the facts, including the policeman who showed up at the accident. There is no reason to involve an unnecessary intermediary like another insurance company. Alliance United would not get me a rent-a-car, nor would they front me money to rent a car. They said they would later pay me a rental car per diem. I do not have money to rent a car on my own, so I had to make do by shoving my kids into the tiny cab 0f a 1991 Toyota truck, in order to drive my 3 children to 3 different schools--When before, We had a 5 seat luxury Jaguar as our family car that fit all of us comfortably, but the truck fit only 3 of us in extremely cramped quarters, where I could not even get stick shift lever into reverse or 5th gear. At the end of January, I made two requests in one day to get an initial payment from Alliance United for my rental car per diem from them. We are now over 125 days after the date of accident, I and Still they have never bothered to pay my rental car per diem fee.

Additionally, this claim is clear liability on the part of Alliance United's insured, but due to their own inefficiency, Alliance United did nothing to properly push their investigation along and admit they needed to fix my car and help me get assistance. After 10 days of no action, I called their office to speak to their Vice President of claims to give him feedback and ask for his intervention. Their claims department refuses to let me speak with the VP's office. They are so afraid 0f unfiltered information reaching an executive, they instead demanded my claim number and insisted I sneak with the current adjuster of the daya or their supervisor. They refused to patch me through to the claims VP's office. After the second time I called to get through to the claims VP, magically, Within 5 minutes I Was finally called back by the examiner, now to say they "just got off the phone With their insured," confirming the accident was, yes, her fault. This is very poor service and communication on behalf of Alliance United, and made it

clear I was low priority in their office.

Also, Alliance United undervalued the Worth of my Jaguar. Because Alliance United put me in a terrible position by not even giving me a rental car, and then tried to total out my car for such low money that I would have to go from driving a perfect condition luxury car, into then having to buy a piece of junk for minimal money--I had no choice but to "accept" the $3568 [under protest] so that I had some money to start getting my car repaired. However, only later did I realize they used faulty or falsified documents to value my car-- theìr independent adjuster estimate talks about a bad clutch and leaking oil and other problems my car does not have--my Jaguar is an automatic transmission and has NO CLUTCH. My car does not leak oil--I sent Alliance United the ledger of $16,000 in car repairs I have paid to keep the car in excellent shape. Based 0n using falsified documents, that Salvage "settlement" is now null and void.

Thank you for any intervention you can bring to this complaint with Alliance United.Desired Settlement: They have stated that they (supposedly) will issue a check for the rent-a-car per diem dispute. That may or may not cover all money due for that issue – all other issues unresolved.

Review: I was involved in an accident with a person possibly insured through Alliance United. He not only totalled my car but hit 3 other people. The individual was drunk and arrested for DUI, child endangerment (his son was in the front seat and taken to the hospital) as well as hit and run. Even though his air bags deployed, he drove off. Thankfully, my friend followed him and forced him to pull over. The police officer said that he had an insurance form in the car stating he had Alliance United insurance but that it had expired in 7/13. According to the family that was at the scene, he had paid for the premium and was up to date. I called Alliance United on 9/8 at 5:20 am to report the accident and was given claim number C113692 and an adjuster's name of Benny Perez. I tried to call the ###-###-#### and ###-###-#### to verify whether his insurance is valid or not. As I have no collision insurance, my auto company will do nothing until we find out this information. Both numbers do not work! They don't even ring! After reading all the recent complaints regarding this company, I am VERY concerned. I now have no car to go to work and college and no rental car coverage AND have to pay to get my totalled car released from the police yard. WHERE ARE YOU ALLIANCE UNITED INSURANCE???Desired Settlement: I want an immediate phone call to verify whether this individual has valid insurance or not. If he does have insurance, I need to have it processed immediately so I can get a replacement car or have the repair work done. Your client is in jail so there should be no question as to who is at fault!

Review: I have auto insurance trough this company & they were not being helpful. On April 9, I was driving by Palm Springs high school, picking my son up, & a foul ball hit my front windshield. It left me with a nice size crack. I finally got an appraiser four days later. Appraised it for $190. I went somewhere else & got an estimate for $550.83. Even though I have mentioned that my windshield has a built in antenna, they have me the price for a regular window. I complained to the claims department and they told me that the body shop would have to call the appraiser to do an assessment. I have been driving with this crack on my window. It's a matter of time before I get a ticket. In the mean time, I'm paying out of pocket, at safelite auto glass of $227, because I'm getting the run around. If this company is not being true to their word, they shouldn't be stealing from people & call themselves trusted.Desired Settlement: It will fair if I get my refund of $227 that I'm paying out of pocket because something so simple that this insurance company couldn't handle right away. Review: in august of last year, the company's insured let their auto roll down my driveway crashing my tenant's truck,And damaging my fence. they estimated a little over $700.00 to repair the fence,And offered me $268.55 to settle my claim. I reluctantly signed the settlement agreement on 11/16/15, in hopes to start the repairs on my fence. they did not pay ! I called on 1/4/16 to ask where my payment was. they said that the tenant's insurance co had to sign a release before I could get paid( HIS insurance had to repair his truck approx.$13.000.00).I seriously doubt, That they will accept 4,731.45 for the repairs they had to make on his vehicle. The representative for alliance united indicated that I would get paid the agreed upon amount, If there was money "left" from the $5,000.00 "property damage" policy.Desired Settlement: I want to be paid the agreed upon settlement without further delay.
