As far as Qatar denying liability , I disagree. The ammo being confiscated was clearly due to their error. The supervisor Daniel A[redacted] at the Atlanta terminal  checked in the luggage with the ammo . He failed to enter the bag number on the declaration form, that is the only reason the ammo was kept, his error not just some regulation as they are stating trying to remove liability from themselves. As far as the receipts requested. This is custom built ammo. I have attached receipts / documents for the products used to build the ammo. Keep in mind you also have the machinery and tooling , along with time involved. I have also attached the return flight ticket receipts. Once again we couldn't get any response from Qatar Airways, did not get to hunt and had to fly home with another airline.

I'm not sure how to take the message from Qatar Airways representative.  He/she can simply resolve the matter by issuing me a refund and correcting the information on their website along with providing specific information on the tickets going forward.  Or, provide a reasonable basis for why the non-refundable term for excess baggage should hold.Also, this is not an inquiry.  This is a complaint as all the facts are known but the airline is choosing to selectively focus on the purchase agreement and ignore all the other information pertinent to the decision of the purchase.Based on the response, it appears to me that the airline is not comfortable with the semi-public nature of these exchanges.

The representative said: Dear [redacted], We have received your claim filed with the Revdex.com.  I am sorry to learn that you were unable to travel with us. Customers can request refunds via our website and their reasons for requesting such refunds are unknown to Qatar Airways.  Accordingly we process refunds based on the fare rules of the ticket purchased.  It is up to the consumer to request a waiver. However, we must be clear that waiver requests are not guaranteed.  We reserve our right to decline requests, especially requests that are made after the refund has been processed.  Accordingly we cannot agree to your request on this occasion as the request was sent after the refund was processed and the medical letter itself was not specific as to the type of emergency which prevented travel. I apologize for any disappointment this decision may cause you.  We do thank you for the opportunity to address your query. With Regards, Odete C[redacted]Customer Relations Officer, USA & Canada Going places together. [redacted] Qatar Airways - Going Places Together  ------------------------------------------------------------... response to Qatar Airways:Hello Ms. C[redacted],Thank you for your response. Qatar Airways still has not communicated with me in anyway. I find it convenient  that they respond to Revdex.com so quickly alleging to reach me through private email. When in fact they have not even giving me any explanation, they could've sent a private email explaining it's under investigation and haven't had the curtesy to do so .The matter in which they are handling this situation is unprofessional and unacceptable.Thanks,[redacted]
