I still have not received benefits after contacting my Dr. several times and calling your office, again.  I still have the same case manager as well.  I am really not trying to be difficult but it would be nice to feel as if you were at least trying to help in the matter.

reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Guardian's direct response is no different than the line of garbage they gave me over the phone.  They preapproved my procedures and then paid their portion.  A month later they are requesting a refund for not 2 bills but for 6.  they amount is almost $1500.  It's a mortgage payment and I am just suppose to say "Oh someone made a mistake don't worry I will pay the difference."  It's ridiculous that we pay premiums every month, year after year and then we allow the insurance company complete control over our money.  They authorized the work.  They paid their portion.  The fact that someone made a mistake (6 times) is not my problem.  They can't continue to do business like this.  It's not right.  It should be considered fraud.

The letter failed to answer my question "Why aren't dental sealants covered for adults?"  It merely stated why I already know "they are not covered," and to be fair, some reasonable workarounds in the future.  But their answer amounted to nothing more than "we have no obligation to explain why we structure our plans the way we do.  We cover what we cover, and that is all we will say about it; pre-approve your treatment with us next time."
