Google this engine builder and you will find the how bad this poor excuse for a company is! I bought sbc from them that blew up upon start upThey sent me another and nerve paid for shipping 2nd motor blew up with less than miles on it without being raced *** ***!!!

To *** * ***I would like to be able to address and assist you with the engine you purchased from my business dating 9/7/You did not make me aware of any problems you were having until March 2015, which is months after the purchase which in turn makes us as a business wonder how
the engine was used leading up to the claimed issuesI do though understand that high performance engines can be problematicWe sell these for a market that has a high risk of both small failures and total loss which can occurThat is why the sales are stated, sold as is, as written and specified in the sales adHowever, case by case, we do our best to help our customers with any issues than can ariseI recall the initial phone call in March of But, the actual issue, I can't recallI do know, that we did agree that even though it was months prior that you purchased the engineWe would arrange and exchange a engine for you to keep good customer relations We also offered to pay for the return shippingI feel that was more than fair and in your best interest to do so And for the record, we do not repair your return engineWe simply send a new one which was also explained to youAs explained on the phone, you were to call us when the engine was removed and then, we would have a shipper pickup freight and returned to our businessWe never got the call that the engine was out, ready to be returned, and assumed that you had rectified the problem. purchased a 383 400hp eng from ar racing via ebay ,long story short had clicking noises after breaking in the cam for 20 mins , pulled the motor inspected flex plate and starter for interference ,{pry bar on flex plate } re-installed started (sounded healthy)five minutes later clicking then clunking then con-rod came through oil pan in 1200 rpm.. pulled motor again ,mind you car never left the garage or off the jack stands yet. took off oil pan to find #5 rod apart with nut in oil pan, checked # 3 rod bolts and un-scewed it with my fingers...WTF...can anyone say torque ! 3 sets were loose ,called ar racing and explained what had happened , they were appolygetic at first then gave the run around about me shipping it back and I pay shipping (from Hawaii). then this went on for about a year, then Lance stated they have no record of me purchasing from Ebay...Zero re-fund...Buyer beware

Your compliant for case [redacted] on engine purchases I would
like to take the time to help[redacted].
 The first engine
purchased about 3 years ago appears to have been resold to another party. At
this point cannot refund on a engine sold to another party then...

used for period
of3 years, However I can assist in the
complaint. The third party buyer appears to state that used
parts were used. This is not the case. To assist you
against that claim I had the NEW parts invoices pulled and
they can be obtained by calling 1-800-251-0331
ext 3033.They will provide you with the entire invoice of band
new parts used in the engine to show your
buyer as proof of new parts, Further even though all parts
are new the nature of use of these parts are not
under any warranty by myself for the manufacture that is why
the product is sold as is as stated in the sale
this is solely for you to show your buyer new parts are
used.
In regards to the second engine .The purchase date about 2
years ago again this engine is built all new parts
but again sold without any warranty expressed .This brings
up a concern we have even though the engine
was sold as is because you where not happy and showed
pictures of a defect pan we replaced that parr at n()
cost to you Associated with that was a cost of out of pocket
expenses of2400.oo usd plus global express
ship cost of480.00usd and customs cost of400.00usdall paid
by A RRacing. Also included with that
shipment was a return label us postal service cost 220.00
usd. This procedure is not normal and any other
business would have demanded a return for inspection first
The parts where received by you within few
days and all we asked was for you to return the defect, The
detect part never was returned. When we tried to
contact you we got no answer or replies until this complaint
5 months later. Because there was no return I
did not have anything to obtain a credit by the manufacture
which I arranged under special circumstances
a onetime courtesy for my business. This is not how we will
do business going forward with you.
At this time your requesting more money and r have no
assurance that even a attempt of a return will
happen.
To be clear we cannot refund the first engine purchase. The
second engine purchase if this has not been used
or modified in anyway we will accept a return under the
following conditions.
I engine must be same was as delivered not used or modified
all parts there.
2. The other parts sent to you at no charge must be returned
also 3 you the shipper are responsible for the entire shipment cost and
arrangement and any and all fees that need to make that happen.
If you meet those
conditions a refund will be made less 20% restock fee after ALL parts are
received back
in good condition and unused. And inspected by A R Racing
No refund wil1 be made if ANY OF THE ENGINE has been used
installed or modified.
Nothing I have stated varies from the industries normal way
of doing business. The refund offer actually is
very generous on our companies part and is not a normal part
of any business operation when selling goods
as is. The value in the goods were sold at a 50% discount to
the buyer already there are risk in hi
performance engine sales [hat cannot be foreseen or
predicted

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
ATTN: [redacted] - AR Racing
Lets set a few things strait – I contacted [redacted] before the closing of the engine on [redacted] – I informed him of the caliber of the build of a truck that is very well known in the show community. He assured me the motor was as described and sent me spec sheet. Since it was a new build, time is involved in setting up all aspects of the truck. Motor was purchased on Sept 7th 2014
Motor arrived via freight 9/25/14
[redacted] was informed of the purchased item and documented 10/10/14
Motor was assembled and installed on Dec. 12th – all wiring and front end material – dash assembly was installed.
Truck was towed to [redacted] Warrenton MO on Jan 17th – motor was fired and oil leaks from pan, valve covers, front main crank seal, and intake manifold – [redacted] informed me call was made to [redacted] on this is a indication of oil blow by but he reassured a long open company that it is a head seal issue. [redacted] informed them he would send a gasket kit and bolts to heads and they were the issue.
[redacted] couldn’t get the motor in timing to run right so we contacted them on the so called Comp cam that he sent to them on the specs. of the motor. No call back
[redacted] got tired of trying to call them so they drilled a hole in my very expensive stainless exhaust to use the exhaust from the motor to time and adjust richness of the motor while it runs. Noted tons of piston slap.
Picked the vehicle up 3/24/2015 drove to the first car show documented miles since this is a historic vehicle on Easter in forest park downtown St. Louis – oil leaks and piston slap from motor
Informed [redacted] and they couldn’t do much unless AR Racing gets in contact with them on the motor – Called [redacted] fourth occasion never called back looking for specs. on motor that seem to be off.
After numerous talks on the motor at the second show [redacted] 350 miles– sent it to [redacted] in St. Charles MO documented 400 miles at that point of oil leaks. [redacted] at Fastlane removed the front timing chain cover cause seal was leaking heavily – AR Racing had installed a flimsy timing chain cover – replaced cover with a aluminum Elderbrock cover and new seal – Note [redacted] at [redacted] Noted tons of noise from the motor and usual amount of oil pushing oil dip stick out – AGAIN Indication of oil blow by. Pan gasket was leaking – Paid 1500.00
July 4th weekend third show – 630 miles- oil everywhere so had it towed on second occasion to Fastlane – [redacted] had [redacted] Engine builders look at the truck and they noted the same piston slap and said can’t do much. Picked truck up. Purchased different oil baffles, valve covers, crank case breathers, and truck was looked at again.
July 20th went to transmission shop 705 miles A1 transmission to check everything out on transmission and to do some work – they noted tons of oil blow by – called [redacted] at AR Racing – no call back
August 8th driving to [redacted] 800 miles doing 55 mph on 364 – motor quit running and antifreeze poured out of the exhaust – indication of a head gasket was blown – towed it home [redacted] – pulled engine and sent to Precision Engine local engine builder – Kent has been building engines for over forty years – don’t know him personally but referred by tow truck driver at [redacted] since he has a 383 small block like the one I had supposedly purchased from AR Racing.
I took pictures of the motor and the so called spec sheet
Items listed that were not in the motor or accomplished
1. Listed Dynamic Balancing – Never done no drill indications of any type of balancing
2. Listed File fit rings – no filing what’s so ever
3. Listed Childs and Abert zz gapdura moly file fit rings – extra 159.99 – motor had stock rings
4. Forged steel rods – you don’t put these into a motor listed for 500 HP
5. Blue print – no bluing what so ever
6. Comp cams hi output cam and lifter set – not comp cam – no serial number on cam and all comp cams have a serial number – the cam in the block was a re ground – that means old cam and turned to take any flat spots of a stock camshaft- again no way to product the listed HP – AR Racing listed it also with
CUSTOM SERIES
7. Dyna gear race oil pump – not a high volume oil pump – stock oil pump – not good for a listed 500 HP motor.
8. Decked block – that means you surface the block to mesh with the heads – never done and had original stock stamp
9. Roller Rockers hi performance – regular roller rockers
10. 110 center line 567 – 577 lift 240/242 dur 2 050 – you cannot time the motor cause the tabs were not there or out of line since the crank was not balance. Crank bearings were all out of alignment.
11. Never a valve job done on the heads so you get great seal – springs were stock as well.
12. Bore on block was never done – pistons were for .030 over and bore was cleaned up (scored) to .035 this is what caused me to open up the block to verify why I have piston slap and blow by of the oil.
[redacted] – I want 3000.00 back and you’re not getting the block back since I had to rebuild your so called listed rebuilt 383/ 500 HP motor. It is falsely advertised, I have documented comments of the same issues, I have documented mileage and issues with the motor, and documented no return calls from you when trying to rectify my purchased 383 Chevy small block.
I am gracefully eating the cost of shipping and the numerous repairs of you not doing as listed for the motor I paid for.
To insulate you give special considerations to veterans has never been seen – My family has over 175 years of military service and I take offense to doing that plus my sisters and brothers will side with me.
Or I send this to my attorney and see you in court or as I said pay the 3000.00 and crickets.
If it goes to my attorney – then I will ask from the courts – the cost of the motor, shipping, repairs, towing bills, my time, and my attorneys time.
Respectfully – [redacted]

Regards,
[redacted]

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. What has [redacted] written there is not true!According to my [redacted] account I paid the first motor on 30/10/2013.The second motor I paid on 02/27/2014.THESE ARE NOT 3 YEARS!in the first motor of october 2013 used parts have been build in, so I can prove with pictures. This was found by the person who has purchased the motor from me.The engine of february 2014 is built with new parts that I know, because by a false assemble in the workshop of AR Racing both cylinder heads were damaged, so I had to open the engine. The parts I got from mr lim sent.He has not paid me the customs fees, which I made myself.A payment I received not from Him, so I can prove my account with Paypal. The defective parts I have lying in the garage, because I only send out this when I got replaced my expense, which is discussed with Herrm lim so I can prove this traffic with the e-mail.again it all understand the motor of february 2014 is now installed and running in my car for a week.We are talking about the engine from october-2013.What can we do now?It is not OK that someone of "professional" motors builds, sent such things just because they go to Germany.I sold the motor for 13,000 euros. Now, the buyer would like to return because of the old and used parts in the motor.
I [redacted] some screenshots, where you can see some picures and emails.

To [redacted]I would like to be able to address and assist you with  the engine you purchased from my...

business dating 9/7/2014. You did not make me aware of any problems you were having until March 2015, which is 6 months after the purchase which in turn makes us as a business wonder how the engine was used leading up to the claimed issues. I  do though understand that high performance engines can be problematic. We sell these for a market that has a high risk of both small failures and total loss which  can occur. I also know that none of the additional work was discussed or presented to us until this letter came and therefore is highly unreasonable for us to both give a full refund and also you keep the engine also if that is actually your request , it is not exactly clear what your desired settlement is as written in your complaint to BB. If you want to expand upon that, I'd be interested to know exactly what you did after we requested the return and you never followed up with the return please do not put the blame on us for that we handle returns and exchanges as fast as possible and lead the industry in shipping times if had called us we would have the return already to you end of story .I Also, to truly be able to rectify this problem, it would be immensely helpful knowing  the name of your local engine builder and business address along with a good contact full name and number , so I could speak with them, to further expand on any issues you claimed to have with the engine  . regardless I can, though once again, in the interest of good customer service offer at this point. Bear in mind, over a year has gone by, since the purchase. the best we could do   is refund half of year purchase price with a return of the engine as it was originally sent, unmodified. I hope this helps. I am also a veteran. I try to take special consideration to members in the armed forces both current and retired.

Revdex.com spoke with a representative from the business who stated that the transaction never went through, because it was reversed by the customer the same day that it was processed. He stated that the customer had made the order on a Monday, and asked that the payment not be processed until Wednesday....

It was processed Wednesday morning, and that was when the customer filed the complaint and reversed the transaction and asked for a refund. The business also stated that they did email him documents, but they bounced back because the email was not valid.

The business reached out to Revdex.com and indicated that he will stand behind the ad he provided the customer and the purchase as an "as-is" purchase and the customer still has the item and that goes against the warranty for [redacted] as well.

To  whom this may concern
I was contacted by a agent from the Revdex.com to provide docs for warranty. As explained Our sales are as is , here is a copy of the add.
THIS ENGINE IS SOLD LESS CARB AND DIST. NOTE PRICE INCREASES EFFECTING ENTIRE 2005 PRODUCT LINE DUE TO INCREASE IN PARTS COST,THERE ARE STILL FEW SAVINGS LEFT ON ENGINES FROM 2008 SEE OUR OTHER ITEMS WHILE THEY LASTavg ship cost 170.00 credit cards thru [redacted]. [redacted] disclaimer[our products] are sold for hi-performance use and are sold as is .e-mail    or call [redacted] for tech or info.
the info is provided in the sales add to EVERY  buyer.
as regards to [redacted] which we are not a part of there warranty is a buyers protection service which consist of returning the product within 30 days and  you get a refund.
What I cant understand though in march 2015 we offered a exchange and you declined yet in the last letter you state that two independent shops told you there where problems with the engine. Then by your time frames you continued to drive the car to shows for months ? It appears that you were going to use the engine until it failed to get through to all the car shows. I cant understand for instance why you would pay or agree to spend 1500 on a pan gasket a 15 dollar part knowing there was a major engine  issue ?
From the beginning we have tried to help you out but by your own choices you have chosen to take a different route on repairs .To this day we have offered several amicable resolutions to help you with this purchase .At this point we are now limited on what we can do in 2015 we are showing a 85 thousand dollar loss on the books and at this point we can no longer offer the half refund on the purchase I am truly sorry about this.In the interest of full disclosure when and if when you chose to litigate this and spend more money more than likely this will all be rolled into a bankruptcy proceeding afterwards. Think of this if you paid just 1500 for a oil gasket we operated selling full engine assemblies for two years for around 3 grand exposed us to major financial hardships and loses. If there is some parts that you could use we do have some rods and cams still with bearings we can send to help you .Again though this is limited supply. just let me know what you could use I hope next year brings you and your family a better new year  God Bless.

I bought a 406 in 2017 for 3400 $ and I am very satisfied with it . Dropped it in my 72 Monte Carlo in front of a new monster trans and 3200 stall speed put my foot in it dam near every time I drive it and the 406 puts a smile on my face every time I fire it up !

This is not the same people I got my 406 from it was arracingun on eBay !

Review: I purchased a motor thru [redacted] from AR Racing - They are banking on the customers to removed a 600 lbs of motor and returning it for them to fix a issue on the item but not giving the customer exactly as it was listed in the ad. The item is not even close to way it is described - I paid well over 3000.00 dollars for the item and 300.00 for shipping - I put over 3000.00 trying to find out whats wrong but come to find out the motor is not as described and over half of the items listed were not in the motor. Its bore-line theft! I contacted the customer and he said he would send instructions to send it back. That has never happen and threatened that he would not warranty the motor since I had It looked at to find out he was not doing as described. Why would I spend another 1000.00 plus to removed the motor they should have built as described only to spend another 1000.00 when I get it back to know they only bandaged the problem temporarily. His business has done this numerously. Tons of complains on Mustang forums, [redacted] forums, and [redacted] forums. I am a veteran on top of that and I WILL pursue every avenue to get what he should have done in the first place.Desired Settlement: I would like the full amount paid for the motor plus shipping and I will not return the motor $3400.00 - My current engine builder has taken tons of pictures of the so called motor and what AR Racing said they did and ready to litigate if AR Racing does not do what is right. That is refund my total amount. If not then I will file charges on his business and ask for the other 3000.00 plus in restitution for the company's actions and slander. I have the receipt and would be glad for you to talk to my local engine builder on the item. I have contacted [redacted] and will contact [redacted] today not to mention my military financial institution [redacted].

Review: It started with the oil pan gasket leaking which you were supposed to reimburse me for and did not. Now head studs are leaking anti freeze and oil. I have a Mechanic look at it and it had way to much blow by and to top it off I had him seal the studs that are leaking and they were not even torqued down properly, Plus some of the studs were the wrong length. Now it looks like I have to rebuild a motor that has less than 2000 miles on it to get it right.Desired Settlement: I would like either a replacement that is built 100% the correct way or even better to get reimbursed for having the engine rebuilt the correct way with the correct parts local to me.

Google this engine builder and you will find the how bad this poor excuse for a company is! I bought 406 sbc from them that blew up upon start up. They sent me another and nerve paid for shipping. 2nd motor blew up with less than 20 miles on it without being raced. [redacted]!!!

Review: Ordered engine part for my [redacted]. Found this seller on EBAY. Talked to the guy-ordered -WITH the understanding that a receipt, invoice and warranty would be emailed to me BEFORE any funds were debited. Not only did he debit half of the amount- $2,400.00 on the 18th, he took the rest- $2,385.00 today-the 19th. He will not respond to emails or phone calls. I filed a fraud claim with my bank and will do the same with the Attorney General's office.Desired Settlement: After doing research, found out from numerous people that this business sells inferior/defective parts and won't honor them and cannot be contacted for recourse.
