Review: I placed a 500$ binder, via credit card, to ensure was not sold to another buyer. Over the course of two consecutive Saturdays we performed test drives of this vehicle. First myself, and the next Saturday with my wife. The seller was informed we could not make the trip there during the week. No objection from the seller was expressed regarding this. Specific issues with the vehicle were noted and the seller agreed to mitigate these issues. Missing headrest, cup holder, rear sit clips and to clean up the car overall. These parts would need to be ordered and one mechanical issue involved the transmission of the vehicle. The seller indicated their master mechanic would road test the vehicle in an effort to reproduce this transmission issue. This would occur the next business day (Mon, Feb 24). The dealer called to say the mechanic had performed the road test and could not reproduce the issue. I communicated to the seller that my own research located a possible software update from [redacted] and to change the fluid. They indicated they would contact [redacted] regarding the update and they would change the fluid. Seller called back the afternoon of Wed Feb 26 to say [redacted] said no update applied to this vehicle and they (the seller) had changed the transmission fluid. I told the seller that I would speak with my wife and call back. I called the seller the next day (Thursday Feb 27) to let him know we would be there Saturday afternoon (1 or 2 pm) for another test drive. Seller agreed without concern or objection. I called back on Fri Feb 28 at 4pm to let them know we had to change the time to 10am. No concern or objection to this time change was expressed by the seller. On Saturday March 1 my wife and I arrive at the seller at approximately 10:30am. We were immediately informed the vehicle was sold. We received no call to discuss and my monetary binder was disregarded. With four opportunities in past 48 hours, one 18 hours previously, seller made no mention of concern of our commitment to purchase this car.Desired Settlement: Would like the seller to admit professional fault when they disregarded my monetary binder and apologize in writing for any stress this event may have caused. Would also like the owner of this business to ensure employees are trained in commonly accepted business practices with regards to customer courtesy, especially a buyer that has placed a monetary binder down payment.
