Review: I unknowingly authorized a monthly subscripition of $95.45 with this company and now I can't get my refund back.
I unknowingly authorized a monthly subscripition of $95.45 with this company and now I can't get my refund back. They told me they couldn't because they got me a consultant that I am not using.I did cancel but they still say they won't offer me a refund. I demand a full refund upon cancelation and they are telling me I still had to pay the money even upon canceling. I am demanding a refund. My bank even asked if that was me which I lied and said yes. No that was not me that was Resume Genius.Desired Settlement: I Demand a full refund of my unauthorized and unknowingly done purchase of my monthly subscription.

Hello,When the customer subscribes to our monthly access plan, the order summary states the grand total will be $95.40 and renews annually where the customer has to pay up front. You accepted our terms of agreement which state they would be enrolling into our subscription services for the whole year for $95.40.I am sorry to inform this, but as per our Terms of Use, the customer is responsible for the charges incurred. However, I highly recommend using the services that you are now entitled to under their current subscription. However, you are free to share your account with friends or family and they also have full access to your dedicated resume consultant (as well as self-service software tools). Please let us know if you require any additional type of documentationto serve as evidence of the charges and our Terms of Use. Review: I have used Resumegenius.com to create my resume and agreed and honored, a charge of $1.95 ($1.00 + $0.95 on my amex card on Oct 20,2014). since then, the named company had used my credit card info and charged me, without my consent, FOUR TIMES the amont of $39.95 (Thirty nine dollars and ninety five cents) - bringing total charges to the amount of $159.80 (One hundred, fifty nine dollars and eighty cents). I have NOT used ANY of their alleged 'support service'.Desired Settlement: full refund of $159.80 (One hundred fifty nine dollars and eighty cents. back on my american express card, as soon as possible.

Hello,When the customer subscribed to our Trial subscription, He/She accepted our terms of agreement which stated that they would be receiving our subscription services and that the Trial would auto-renew into a Monthly subscription on a specific date. Our services are not a one time purchase, but an ongoing subscription. They had the option to cancel at any time during the 14 day trial period to prevent the auto-renewal and in order to avoid future charges. The cancellation process is very simple: Log in > My Account >> Plan Information >>> Cancel This will confirm that the account was successfully canceled. To download a digital copy of the resume for free they have the option to choose the TEXT format which will not require them to make any payments. However, all other services require a payment as stated above and according to our Terms of Use. No additional charges will be levied against their credit card as long as the account remains canceled. Should they reactivate the account, the credit card will be charged accordingly. When the customer purchased the account we provided instructions on how to cancel, along with the specific date and time at which the billing cycle would take place. We informed that it needed to be canceled on a timely manner. We recognize that the account is now cancelled, however, the cancellation came after the billing cycle had already occurred. The information regarding our Subscription Service is NOT in fine print and can be located in our Terms of Use, Plan Comparison, Sales Receipt, Plan Information and Alerts.I am sorry to inform this, but as per our Terms of Use, the customer is responsible for the charges incurred. Please let us know if you require any additional type of documentation to serve as evidence of the charges and our Terms of Use. Review: I used the resume genius service to build a resume. They have two subscription options. I reviewed the first option which was a 7.95 per month option but it has to be paid upfront. The other option was a 14 day trial. I selected that option. They billed my account approximately 95.00. I contacted the company and I got a girl on the phone that had an Indian accent. The call had an echo as if I was on speaker phone. I had to spell my name 10 times on the phone. She refused to connect me with a supervisor. The only thing that she would state is that I selected the 7.95 option and that I do not have the option to change my mind. She would not tell me where she was located. She was very evasive. She stated that my only option was to email someone named betty at [email protected]. I have not received any response to that email. I feel that this was fraudulent. Additionally, the only response that I did get, which was just now, was an email stating that my membership was cancelled but I had access to the program for a year and was responsible for all charges. I will be attempting to dispute this through my bank on Monday.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded, I am willing to pay for the 1.95 trial period.

While I did find RGO's online resume tool to be of help and a time saver, it was the unfortunate lack of monitoring the recurring monthly charge of $39.95 and inability of tracking my actual activity while logged into the account and using services, that suddenly, 8 months later I find the recurring charge continues monthly on my credit card billing invoice. Shame on me for not being more diligent and cancelling by end of the 2nd month, however, when speaking to their customer service department, their negative response and accusatory demeanor, was enough to indicate they really don't rely on customer loyalty. Instead, their revenue is a result of hoping you will easily overlook and forget the recurring charge each month.
Avoid using this service if you can avoid and instead, use a resume service that charges a one-time fee or offers better options.
Last, had I checked this company with the Revdex.com website first, I would have made an alternate decision, particularly as the company is not Revdex.com acredited and has a list of consumer complaints.
Review: I had a 14 day free trial with the company for which services were provided. The Terms of Agreement states "Users agree to such automatic renewals and charges to users' credit or debit card, ACH, or other payment mechanism, without requiring prior authorization in each instance, subject to users cancelling their accounts by dates indicated by company for cancellation of any automatic renewal charge." The company never provided me with a specific "Cancel By" date, only indicating "14 days from signing up" which could be confused with business days or any day. I pointed this fact out to the company with customer service and [redacted]., the agent that assisted me, continued to deny a refund and deny that I was abiding by the terms of agreement. I even asked to speak with a supervisor and he threatened to close the chat if I didn't continue talking about the terms of agreement. This is another violation of the terms as it states "In order to resolve a complaint regarding the Website Services or to receive further information regarding use of the Website Services, please contact Company as set forth..." If he were to close the chat, he would have violated this term.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the 39.95 that was charged to me due to the fact that the terms of agreement were not met my the company.

Review: My daughter attempted to use this website for creating a resume. It was advertised at $1.95. Out of the blue I got a charge on my credit card for $39.95. I contacted the company and was told that when you use their service you are signing up for a "Trial" Subscription at $39.95 per month. We never intended to sign up for any service. We will not use the service. We don't want the service. I politely asked that my $39.95 be refunded because it was never clear that we were signing up for any kind of monthly service, we did not want it. This company is ripping people off and hiding behind their hidden website disclaimer that no one sees or reads when using their site. When you discover what they are doing and contact them, they refuse to refund your money citing policy..... saying you are legally responsible for paying them for something you have no intention of using. It border lines on a classic bait and switch scheme.Desired Settlement: All I want is my $39.95 refunded.

Review: this company Resume Genius, uses a bait and switch tactic. They give you a 14 day trial pierod for $1.97, after this trial weather you cancel or not they continue to charge your credit card $39 a month. When I contacted them and asked for a refund, I was at first told no, then after a 30 min long conversation this guy "john" said his finance department would reluctantly give me back 80%. I sadly agreed, but not befor letting him know that I would be letting a bad review on the web page. He then turned around and told me that if I was to leave a bad review and/or contact the Revdex.com they will NOT return anything let alone my 80%?! I told him this is illegal and he is "bullying" me into doing what he wants, this is America and I can let bad reviews for bad companys. The call ended with them telling me they would return my 80% BUT I had to verbally promise that I would NEVER take this to the Better Business Borough, because "its non of the Revdex.com business". As you can see, I chose the latter and reported them. I do have an email stating they will be returning my 80% within 5 business days, now I wait.............Desired Settlement: I would like everyonee to know about this business, they are very shady. I also feel as if I should recieve my complete 100% refund back.

Review: The company advertised a free 14-day trial subscription for a resume service. On August 17 I subscribed for the service. I tried it and concluded that it was not going to meet my specific needs. On August 31, exactly 14 days later, I requested via email that my free trial subscription be canceled. Earlier this month, I noticed that my credit card was charged $39.95. I contacted Resume Genius and forwarded them a copy of my email in which I requested the cancellation of the free 14-day trial subscription. They replied that I made my request on a Sunday. They said since they are closed on Sunday I can not have a refund. This is absolutely ridiculous..... my request was made within the 14-day time frame.Desired Settlement: I want my Master Card credited the $39.95 that I was fraudulently charged for the free 14-day trial subscription.

Review: I signed up for a single resume trial for 2 dollars. They signed me up for 40 dollars reoccuring every month. The "trial" is nothing more then a scam and is clearly unethical. As a 20 year old college student I live pay check to pay check, I'm going to have to find a way to scramble a extra 40 dollars.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of what I lost as well as a apology letter for all those who were ripped off.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Review: I had an issue where I subscribed for a 14 day trial, which I paid for up front, however on the 14th day the company continued further and charged an additional 39.95 for the following month without an email indicating my subscription was ending prior to getting charged. The company charges $90 dollars for the year subscription, however if we do not select that we are charged $40 a month. The price jump does not make sense for a consumer to pay $40 a month when the yearly price is $90. This company uses deceptive tactics in attempt to withdrawal additional funds from consumers. The advertising is misleading and customer service is generic and not helpful. They make it extremely difficult for the consumer to get in contact with a supervisor. The Only option they allow to get in contact with a supervisor is an email or a call back. This is unrealistic that a company does not have a business line phone number dedicated to supervisors and I have to wait for a call back. The company also does not have a refund policy.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of 39.95.

Review: The following business claims to be free on their website is "FREE RESUME BUILDER." I noticed I recieved 39.95$ charge from this company after using their service, that stated it was free. When I called to inquire and recieve refund I was met with "I am sorry to inform this, but as per our Terms of Use, the customer is responsible for the charges incurred. However, I highly recommend using the services that [redacted] is now entitled to under their current subscription." This company is corrupt and every time I try get the person's supervisor they state they are the supervisor, I have gotten the supervisor of two individuals after they have told me they are the boss (which I replied that everyone has a boss), the final individual that I emailed refused to give me her supervisor as well, so I am writing this to the Revdex.com. They also say that the 39/95 is CLEARLY stated however after looking through all my emails it was on the very bottom of an invoice, many individuals do not look or read an invoice, when I was checking if they had stated I would be charged then I would have never used them as well.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund since they do not clearly state that it will cost 39.95, their website says free or I would not have used this service.
Review: I signed up for a 14 day free trial and neglected to cancel. I was charged $39.95 a month for 2 months and asked for a refund as I didn't realize it was a monthly charge. I did NOT use the service after creating my resume the first day. There are several health challenges in my family (my dad has cancer, my mom dementia and 2 of my children have Cystic Fibrosis - one was recently hospitalized for 5 days) so I have been VERY busy and VERY stressed with these. The cancellation date past before I knew it. I am also a full time student working part-time and thus have a VERY limited budget. $80 is a LOT and I asked for a refund. They said they have a "no refund policy" which is NOT stated on the Free Trial receipt e-mail (I can forward that to you if you need it.)
NOR on their Website:
ResumeGenius.com provides a full refund to customers who are still within their 14-day trial subscription term. Customers who wish to redeem a refund must contact customer service prior to the end of their trial subscription term either by calling customer support at (866) 215-9048, emailing [email protected], or by using live chat via ResumeGenius.com.
[THIS DOES NOT SAY THERE IS A NO REFUND POLICY]
(the girl I spoke with said it WAS).Desired Settlement: I wish to be refunded $79.90 for the 2 months I was charged.

Review: In December, I elected to try a 14 day Trial subscription for Resume Genius for $1.95. I found that the product was not easy to use and did not provide the product that I though was useful for me. At the end of the 14 days, they started billing me $39.95 a month even though I didn't access their web-site for the use of the product. I did not received any notification that the trial period was over and they were going to start billing my credit card monthly or some sort of acknowledgement that they had billed by card each month or for the last 4 months.
Tried calling them to find out about it and it sounds like I am speaking to someone in [redacted] with a very bad connection. I cancelled the service immediately and I feel they are scamming people because the are billing me and others without further notification.Desired Settlement: I would like the amount billed credited back to my credit card. I am also disputing the charged with my credit card.
I have noticed previous Revdex.com complaints as well for same company.

Review: I have contacted resume genius multiple times now about a monthly charge that has been applied to my account many times now. They started back in April/may I believe. I told them I am not a member and to cancel the account. They did this upon my request in June. Another charge was applied to my account the next month or the month after so I called them again. They eventually called me back after many missed phone calls just to tell me the account was already canceled. I told them my dilemma so they took me through the cancelation process again. Once again, another charge was applied to my account two months or so later. I called again, we went through the same process, account canceled. This has been an ongoing process for 11 months now. Another charge was applied to my account January 27th. When I called we went through the same process except this time the man I talked to sent me an email for proof my account was canceled in June of 2014 and that no other charges are being applied to my account. My bank account statements beg to differ. What can I do to end this and get my lost money back ?Desired Settlement: My account to stop being charged for something I do not use and all my lost money back.

Review: I got the 14 day trial as everyone else did on here. I called and canceled within the 14-day trial period. They did not cancel it properly and still took out the $34.95/month for 4 months totally $176 without our permission. They would still be taking it out had my debit card number not been changed in november. I spoke with a few representatives on the help line and got the run around that their supervisor was in a meeting. I even made the calls last as long as possibly totally an hour. (no one has an hour meeting in a call-center). I have worked in a call center before and know better than that. They keep telling me the same run around that they do everyone else which is to provide some ridiculous proof that no one in their right mind would be able to provide.Desired Settlement: I want my $176.70 credited back to my account that was not authorized.

Review: I wenssthis Found site online for free resume template. I used the resume template. Then in order to make a copy or download a copy you have to give them your credit card. They say they will charge you $0.95 cents for the download. They have hidden fees which are not disclosed. They also have a membership fee which is not disclosed up front. Needless to say after creating a resume for my daughter. I was charged $0.95 cents twice and then today I was charged an additional $39.95. I did not agree to these terms. I have contacted the company. They agreed to cancel the membership but they are not going to refund the money they already are trying to take out of my account. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told he was unavailable. When asked to speak to the managers direct report I was told the only way I could contact the manager was through the email address I provided. This company is a scam. Why would someone want a membership to a resume template company? If I create the template and download a copy. I know can make adjustments myself. There is no reason to have a membership.I want the fees refunded to me and my overdraft of 25.00 put back into my account. They refused to give me their tax ID number as well. Review: On 3-28-14, I found a blank resume template online and started using it. It was similar the hundreds of others available free, and there was nothing to indicate that it would cost anything. When I tried to save and print, I was redirected to a page requiring me to sign up for a free trial with resumegenius.com. To save time, I signed up with my credit card, printed the resume, then cancelled the subscription. On 4-14-14 a charge of 34.95 showed up from SJT resumes. I went to resumegenius.com and again cancelled the subscription. I emailed them to request a credit for that amount. I received a generic email back, refusing the credit. I replied in a short email stating I would just dispute the transaction. Their next email was very nasty, threatening to report it to a collection agency and "aggressively pursue" me for the money. There are multiple similar complaints on ripoffreport.com & other sites about this company. I am guessing that few if any have bothered to report them to the Revdex.com. I feel that this is a fraudulent company using deceptive tactics to get credit card information. They take advantage of people who have committed hours to their own resumes and don't want to lose the information. Thank you for your time I really appreciate the work you do.Desired Settlement: Refund of the $34.95 charge. [redacted] I have disputed the transaction with my bank.

Review: I thought I was just signing up for a inexpensive free trial but then was charged $39.95. I only visited the website once to use their products and services. The other time was to cancel a subscription I didn't know I had. I called to see if I could a refund and to explain to them the situation they said according to their policy they couldn't refund my money so I told them that I would dispute it with my financial institution. The gentleman named [redacted] became very hostile and said my financial institution basically couldn't do anything for me. When I asked to speak to a supervisor he said that all the managers were in a meeting. I was told to email a [redacted] to see if she could do something about the charges and that she would get back to me. He then said if I did talk to her this reflect negatively on my credit report and It would show on there that I never paid them and I told him I did pay you I just want the money back. When I asked why he mentioned that he started getting angry and just kept saying contact [redacted]. I hung up the phone and he called back saying we go disconnected And that I needed to email [redacted] I told him I would but I was also going to dispute the charge with my financial institution. I hung up again and he persisted on continuing to call me back. What I found strange is that for it to be a contact center I kept getting the same individual when I called back just to see if I could talk to someone else and when I used the live chat it was again the same person [redacted] that I had talked to on the phone.Desired Settlement: That this business be shut down it seems like a scam to me.
