Run, run far away from Zywave. They are a scam. Beau Noonan contacted me back in 2016 to sell me their services. He was relentless in emailing me and calling me to listen to his pitch. I finally agreed and he had talked about their services. He had even sent me screenshots of what I had assumed was what they were trying to sell me. Once I signed up I instantly knew it was a mistake. All of my efforts to get out of the contract were not successful. Basically there is no trial period and you are bound by the contract. Going back to the screenshots that Beau emailed, I found out that there was no such program that Zywave provided. Plus he had mentioned many other services which I thought I would be getting. They were available but I would have to pay extra. No one there is willing to help. All they care about is to lock you into a contract. The service is not cheap and the things they do provide are not worth it. They constantly bring up the fact that they have to pay their attorneys to make sure their constant new material is compliant. That is a lie because they rarely come out with new material to send to prospects. They take data from government websites and slap their logo on it and pass it off as proprietary. As I said before. Run, run far away and don't fall for this scam like I did.
Signed up for Zywave, they couldn't make anything work with our agency management system after promising it would. After a while they just dropped off the face of the earth. They kept hitting my checking account for their monthly fees even after repeated attempts to cancel the service. Now they have the gall to chase me down with a high pressure collection agency. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH ZYWAVE.
Buyer Beware, they are very expensive, they promise more than they deliver and they make you sign a 3 year contract! Not worth it, DON'T DO IT!
I have a similar issue that I'm currently going through with Zywave, their product did not come close to being as great as they make it out to be. I have never worked with a company so unwilling to work out issues. The bad thing is that I still need a system and I wish that they would have worked with me as I was willing to negotiate, but now it looks like I'm in for a fight with them. May have to go Class Action.
Zywave: Think Before You Sign!
I'm not saying Zywave is a scam, but our experience with them has been less than fulfilling.
Let me start off by saying that Zywave has some really amazing and high quality sales representatives. While that is for the most part a good thing, it can come with some negatives. For one, the sales representatives can be very convincing of the value of their product and make the payout for a such a high ticket investment seem inevitable, however we found that in practice this isn't always the case.
As we approach the twelve month mark, enrolling in Zywave certainly has not been a highly profitable investment for us. In fact, it has been much of the opposite. Our profits may have seen zero growth at this point, but our expenses have increased by a pretty significant margin from this service.
Zywave does provide a large database of materials, an HR platform, and an email marketing campaign service which are all relatively high quality. The problem is that these products do not, at least for us, justify the price. The database of materials is helpful, but is nothing groundbreaking and similar, customized marketing materials could be made for a fraction of the cost of Zywave's subscriptions. The HR platform, while it offers a lot of employee tracking capabilities, it takes a lot of man hours to set up and run. Much cheaper and less time consuming HR platforms are available. The email marketing campaign is a nice service, but again has the same issue that there are similar services out there for a fraction of the price.
All in all, we have found that Zywave is not even close to worth the money we are spending on it. And although we did sign a long term contract, we were hoping that Zywave would work with us at opting out of the contract since we are wholly unsatisfied with the subscription. However, Zywave has been extremely inflexible with reaching a solution with us. They say we can break the contract and pay 80% of the remaining cost on the contract (hardly a deal) or keep the contract going until its end. We feel that it is our duty to forewarn prospective Zywave subscribers so that they do not make the same mistake we did by signing their contract.
So, buyer beware! Only sign the contract with Zywave if you are POSITIVE that it is the right move for you.
The Zywave platform is technical and clumsy. Do not fall for the "facts" and promises of an agency turn around. The drip marketing campaigns have done little to separate our brokerage from competitors. As many, many brokers subscribed to the same promises from Zywave, the material from their Broker Briefcase is not unique. It is very possible that a prospect's current broker is already giving them the exact same materials.
In 2015 we acquired Zywave, and it’s been downhill since.
Now we realize, it is a trap. Sales promised more than what they delivered. There are other systems out there where they will let you use the system for a whole month before you make the important decision of signing a long term contract. Zywave gives no such trial period. If you’re seriously considering this system, do yourself a favor and keep looking. We did NOT get our company's dollars worth. Do not make the same mistake we did. Look hard at other options. Zywave is not cheap.
