Equipment falling apart at car wash. Tried to speak with on site management who agreed equipment not working
The car wash is an auto wash where you can pay a monthly fee if you wish. There are vacuums located on both sides. One side of vacuums you can only get to after you exit the car wash. The other side are to where when you back out, you go into the car wash. It is assumed that a working vacuum is a part of the industry standard for a car wash. I had a monthly membership that I used about once a week or less and I have noticed that every time I go, the vacuums no longer work. Some are coming out of the plugs. Others do not work at all. I went to speak to the on site manager who agreed they didn't work and said that they didn't have to as they were a free feature.
Considering the implied nature of a full service car wash and the fact you can't even reach the vacuums without going into the car wash this just isn't what people are signing up for. I asked if any of their monthly membership paperwork reflected that the vacuums didn't have to work and he stated no. He did not offer a refund and hurried me through. I had to request a copy of my cancellation. As a company that has access to college students seeking business majors I'm very sad to see this is the type of employee representing a Plainview business. When I asked to speak to someone higher up he said he couldn't give out that information, thus insulating customers from getting answers or requested refunds as management acted as though this was a secret. I promptly left a message hoping to reach the owner of which I was called by *** saying it would get passed along.
I have disputed the last two months on my credit card bill and will be requesting a refund from the last six months. As we were a customer for about a year and the service of the car wash has worked less than 50% of the time I feel this will be a fair refund.
I found the owner's name on Revdex.com and reached out to him on a post where a picture of the car wash was featured where I was told management would reach out to us, implying another poor conversation with their representative
I will be seeking half of my membership refunded. I have been a member for over a year at $30 per month. $210
