Zia Tax Service Reviews (3)

October 3, 2016To Whom It May Concern;True, one of our employees filed a Form Wimproperly creating a refund of Social Security excess paymentsThis was in year and that employee is no longer with our firm.In review, Mr [redacted] would not have received twice as large a refund as in his previous tax return and that alone should have given him cause for concernHis tax return also shows a lessor amount of tax refund as would been the tax return given the same parameters.Realizing that he would not have received as large a refund Mr [redacted] should have reviewed his tax return more carefully before signing and authorizing the eFile process as is strongly recommended by the Internal Revenue ServiceHad that been done perhaps the error would not have left the building. Please note the attached Form signed by both parties indicating that they had reviewed their tax return and that it was "true, correct and complete" and by their signatures were authorizing the electronic transmission of the tax return. We have apologized to Mr [redacted] and refunded the $charged for that tax preparation error; however, the resultant refund that should have not been received in the first place was received by Mr [redacted] and it appears the money was spentWe did not receive the refundThe taxes owed are still the responsibility of the taxpayer and not the tax preparation officeThis was explained to Mr [redacted] but apparently he thinks that we should pay his tax. There is nothing further that we can do to appease M [redacted] ! There is no information that can be written that will secure a favor with the IRSHis-only solution as we advised since he apparently does not have the money to return to the IRS is to structure a payment plan which we offered to help him prepare but he stormed out of the building and thus his letter to your agency. We appreciate the attention given this matter and trust that your agency will realize that Zia Tax made all effort to properly handle this matterThere is no additional reason for us to contact Mr [redacted] Respectfully,

October 3, 2016To Whom It May Concern;True, one of our employees filed a Form W2 improperly creating a refund of Social Security excess payments. This was in year 2014 and that employee is no longer with our firm.In review, Mr. [redacted] would not have received twice as large a refund as in his...

previous 2013 tax return and that alone should have given him cause for concern. His 2015 tax return also shows a lessor amount of tax refund as would been the normal tax return given the same parameters.Realizing that he would not have received as large a refund Mr. [redacted] should have reviewed his tax return more carefully before signing and authorizing the eFile process as is strongly recommended by the Internal Revenue Service. Had that been done perhaps the error would not have left the building. Please note the attached Form 8879 signed by both parties indicating that they had reviewed their tax return and that it was "true, correct and complete" and by their signatures were authorizing the electronic transmission of the tax return. We have apologized to Mr. [redacted] and refunded the $118.75 charged for that tax preparation error; however, the resultant refund that should have not been received in the first place was received by Mr. [redacted] and it appears the money was spent. We did not receive the refund. The taxes owed are still the responsibility of the taxpayer and not the tax preparation office. This was explained to Mr. [redacted] but apparently he thinks that we should pay his tax. There is nothing further that we can do to appease M. [redacted]! There is no information that can be written that will secure a favor with the IRS. His-only solution as we advised since he apparently does not have the money to return to the IRS is to structure a payment plan which we offered to help him prepare but he stormed out of the building and thus his letter to your agency. We appreciate the attention given this matter and trust that your agency will realize that Zia Tax made all effort to properly handle this matter. There is no additional reason for us to contact Mr. [redacted]. Respectfully,
