Zenith Construction CO

Review: We hired [redacted] doing business as Zenith Construction to do extensive remodeling of our residence in November of 2013. The work progressed slowly with problems related to workmanship and then in February of 2014, the county put a stop work order on the site as Zenith had not pulled the required permits for the electrical, plumbing, and general construction. Follow up inspection by the county revealed much of the job was not done to code, requiring the electrical work to be rewired and plumbing pipes to be moved. Initially, I was allowing Zenith to correct the work, however after the wood flooring was destroyed during install we lost all confidence and terminated our agreement with Zenith and had to pay other contractors to make it right. Although he stated he would make it right, he has not responded to my letters or the contractor's board.Desired Settlement: I would like for Zenith Construction to refund the money for work not completed that had been paid, and to pay for the work that I had to have corrected in order for the house to pass code. Total due is $16,000.
