After reviewing our records, Zenefits has concluded that Complainant should contact her employer's HR administrator who can assist her in correcting her payroll withholdings and taxes.

The discrepancies that Complainant listed are for the...

period from January through December 2015. After looking into this matter, Zenefits did miscalculate some of the deductions in question, but only during the period from January to February 2015. All of those errors have been corrected through catchup deductions and an employer reimbursement.

Discussions in January 2015 and February 2015 between Zenefits and Complainant's HR administrator led to the HR administrator's request that Zenefits stop managing deductions for the company's employees. As such, on February 27, 2015, Zenefits terminated the automated deduction sync between Zenefits and Intuit.

Also on February 27, 2015 Zenefits sent the HR admin a payroll deduction audit, which outlined any discrepancies that existed between what employee deductions should have been based on health enrollments and what was actually pushed to payroll. This audit also highlighted any relevant over- and under-deductions that affected employees, and instructed the HR admin on how to balance the deductions in future paychecks.

Any incorrect deductions after February 27, 2015 cannot be addressed by Zenefits as the company no longer has authorization to manage A2 Medical Group payroll deductions and should be directed to Complainant's HR administrator and their current payroll provider.
