My first experience with Nick from Your Drainmaster was 2/15 when he came to my house to fix a clogged main drain. To do so, he removed the guest bathroom toilet because we couldn't find the main drain clean-out on the outside of the house. He cleared the clog and re-seated the toilet. The charge was $289. Afterward, he suggested that we consider getting a new toilet and that it was something he could do for us. We did not get a new toilet because we never had a problem with it.
On 11/16/15 I discovered the bathroom floor was flooded. Clear water was leaking from the base of the toilet where it attaches to the floor. I called a plumber who reseated the toilet, which stopped the leak.
On 11/22/15 there was a sewage backup that flowed into the shower of the master bath and the tub of the guest bath. I called Your Drainmaster. Nick came out to fix the problem. He pulled the guest toilet to clear the drain. Water flooded the floor when he lifted the toilet. "Whoever re-seated this toilet didn't do it right," Nick said. "The flange and everything came up. That's not supposed to happen." He proceeded to "educate" me on how a toilet is supposed to be attached to the floor. "You're a smart lady," he said. "You get the picture -- you know what I'm saying. Most women don't."
He cleared the clog and put the toilet back. He suggested that the plumber made matters worse by not re-seating the toilet properly. He ran water down all the drains and flushed toilets to ensure everything drained. "For now," he said, "Everything's working." I paid him $289.
A few days later, I discovered that the guest bathroom toilet wobbled and Nick had not re-attached it securely to the floor.
My concerns were:
1. Was the toilet safe to use in its wobbly state?
2. I had paid him for a job that wasn't completed.
I called Your Drainmaster. Nick answered. I alerted him to the fact that the toilet wobbled and was only partially attached to the floor. He became agitated, suggesting that I was blaming him for the problem caused by the plumber. He said that he was at a job and to stop bothering him that he didn't have time to talk. Then he hung up on me.
