Our Samsung dryer stopped spinning, but the motor was still running.
I *** Samsung dryer repair service in Shoreline, WA and Your Appliance Service popped up with 14 *** reviews. After reading a couple of 5 star reviews and wanting a local company I called their number 206-518-9282 and I advised the lady that answered that we just needed the belt to be replaced because the motor was still running.
She advised me that there's a $95.00 initial fee and if we decide to go forward with the repair they would take the fee of the total bill.
She advised me the service man would call 20 - 30 minutes before arriving. I did receive a call on appointment date 11/28/2017, but never received a voicemail letting me know it was the repair company.
Next thing I know my daughter is calling to let me know he's at the house and that the belt did need replacing. He advised me it would be $398.00 and I was a little shocked, but he assured me that it's a kit that would replace suspension belt, wheels, bearings, pulley, pulley arm, etc...
and that after replacing all the parts we shouldn't have any problems with the dryer for a long time.
I was surprised it only took him 15 - 20 minutes to complete the job so I asked him to leave all the old parts for my husband and he advised me they send the old parts back to Samsung.
The machine was making a squeaky noise and my husband called him and was advised after a couple of days the noise will go away.
On 12/07/2017, the dryer again stopped spinning. I called the number on the invoice 855-731-4952 and was able to get an appointment for 12/11/2017.
I had my nephew watch the same repairman service the dryer and sure enough the belt was broken. My nephew asked why would it have broken since it was new and he said because the pulley needed replacing and my nephew commented I thought you did that the first time you came out and he said "no I just replaced the belt".
