I received some physical therapy sessions, and later received 2 large bills from YRMC, which should have billed to my health insurance. Unhelpful help desk (928-771-5151) tells me the claims were rejected, but my health insurance has no record of these claims. Not sure what the only medical provider in Prescott Valley is trying to pull, but it sounds like insurance/billing fraud to me. Avoid this place if you value your sanity, I have contacted the BBB to make them do their job.

I went to both ERs in Prescott Valley and Prescott. The first time I went they gave me a harmful drug for my baby. When I realized this and reported the matter to corporate nobody even called me back.

Review: My wife had a [redacted] January of 2015. Before her surgery she met with the hospital billing dept multiple times. Though the procedure my wife would be having was very common, and our insurance coverage never changed, we were never informed of the substantial out of pocket costs. We were always lead to believe our insurance would cover the surgery.

Several months after my wife’s surgery we received a bill from YRMC for $1050.00. Which was more than the per person out of pocket maximum associated with our insurance plan. We tried calling the billing department several times, but received little help. We asked for a detailed bill, as the one we had received reflected only the amount due. Finally another couple months later, we received a total breakdown of all charges. I was astonished when I started doing some investigating and found that the majority of the charges had been inflated more than 1000%.

We again tried contacting the hospital as we were not in a financial position to be able to afford such a high bill, nor did I have any intention on paying these ridicules inflated prices. I had hoped that the hospital would work with us to come to reasonable accommodations. I didn’t mind paying what I owed, but I wasn’t paying it ten times over!

We’ve now received a letter from a collections agency, which no doubt will have an ill effect on my wife’s otherwise perfect credit. I’m now contemplating legal avenues. I’ll also be posting on every social media outlet I can find the unfair and corrupt business practices of this hospital. To mark up a bill nearly 1000% is utterly ridicules, especially when no prior estimate was ever given. Even mechanics give estimates before performing any work. The medical industry gets away with this because when one’s health or shall I say life is at risk, there’s little bargaining to be done. I'll make it my sole ambition to let anyone I come in contact with know the nightmare experience I've had with YRMCDesired Settlement: I'd like my bill to reflect actual charges, not charges inflated over 1000%. I'm not here to pay everyone else's bill!

After a serious illness and a week in the ICU, I have a balance due to YRMC that I can not afford to pay in a lump sum. Per their instructions, I called their business office to arrange a payment plan. We agreed on a monthly payment amount, which I have paid without fail for 15 months. Now, for reasons known only to YRMC, they refuse to acknowledge that the payment plan even exists - despite accepting my payments for 15 months, and despite confirming 10 months ago that I was "doing well" with repayment - and are threatening to send my "bad debt" to collection. I can't afford to hire an attorney, as they are fully aware.
