Yates Wood have been following the attorney’s lead/direction on this collection matter.  The account was sent over to James S[redacted]’ office for collection and eventually a Stipulation for Judgment was created and signed.  Yates Wood had the homeowner's ACH form on file, but had to wait...

for authorization from the attorney and the homeowner to make deductions.  The amount authorized was different than what was in the stipulation and the authorization didn’t come a little later than the deadline.  When the authorization happened, there was communication that the file would be closed, but the attorney remained involved because the homeowner defaulted due to the wrong amount and the delay of the payment.  The attorney sent new communication to the homeowner explaining this and the file remained open.  The amount was eventually adjusted and things seem to finally be on track with this case. Property Manager for this association, Robin is going to see if the board is willing to have the attorney put their efforts on hold as long as the payments continue to be made.  The attached is a note from last month from the attorney (note: this is a new attorney as the one originally handling this file is no longer there) to the homeowner addressing the legal fees.
