Yale-New Haven Hospital Clinic

Review: I had an authorized colonoscopy screening performed in March 2015. The hospital coding dept decided to use different codes for processing the claim based on the doctors notes instead of using the authorized codes for the procedure. This resulted in me owing a copay and deductible ($1500) which I would not owe if they process the claim under the authorized code. The coding dept asked the doctor to change his notes in there processing system so they could reprocess the claim. This system does not allow him to change his notes so he wrote them a letter asking them to reprocess the procedure as authorized. The doctors office and I have made many attempts to get them to reprocess the claim but Yale refuses to change it. I have appealed several time to the insurance co but they tell me they can only verify that the claim was processed correctly based on how its submitted.Desired Settlement: Yale needs to reprocess claim under authorized code resulting in a zero balance.
