He would not discuss or offer any resolution to the fact that I overpaid as his employees stood around for a signifiant amount of time (we paid by the hour), that his employees did not come prepared with enough supplies (only came with about 10 blankets to protect full household of furniture) and therefore caused damage to furniture, as well as caused a couple hundred dollars of damage to the yard by parking and driving their truck unnecessarily in the yard.   He stated that he cannot do anything and is not liable for anything as we did not purchase his insurance.  Don also ignored my complaint that I spent hours on the phone trying to resolve this and was promised multiple call backs, including from him, of which no one ever returned. When I spoke to the associate on the phone, I thoroughly explained to them all of the items I had. Also, I only received two professional movers from Xpress Movers, the other two were friends of mine. Also, in regards to the items over $150 lbs. they only moved one of those items and our friends moved the other. Also, I was not given an option to pay a $25. Everything I stated in my initial complaint and the paragraph above was/is true.

Review: Xpress Movers moved my household items from Accokeek, MD to Midlothian, VA on 8/27/15. They did lost one of my dining room chairs, that goes with a set of 6. They delivered items to Richmond while I was still in Maryland because they did not bring a big enough truck for all my items, so I had to remain in MD and make arrangements for another mover. I have made numerous attempts to contact Mr. [redacted] whom I originally set up the move with, he has not responded to my request for resolution of this matter. The chair is a set and cannot be matched to the remaining chairs, I would need to buy another complete set.Desired Settlement: I would like my chair delivered to me to complete the set, if it is lost, then I expect reimbursement to replace comparable formal dining room set. The set cost over $2000.

Review: Movers were very slow, caused hundreds of dollars of damage to yard and furniture. They were not prepared and did not bring enough equipment/blankets to protect furniture. Called multiple times to talk to manager and promised call backs numerous times, but no one ever called back. Even after calling the emergency number and talking to the owner, there was never a call back or resolution. I am pretty sure they started blocking my calls and after that no one ever answered, but got the machine, but again no one returned my messages.Desired Settlement: I would like money back from the time wasted by movers, damage to yard we were billed from landlord and damage to furniture from movers.

Review: My husband contacted Xpress Movers in May for our move in June. During the discussion about the details of our move, Xpress Movers assured my husband that a 16 foot truck would move our three bedroom house. My husband explained that we have more than the average person in terms of things to to moved. He expressed his concern at the size of the truck, willing to pay for the next size up. Again, he was assured that a 16 foot truck "should do it". When the movers arrived (after being given the wrong address by their supervisor, making them an hour late) they began to pack up the truck up. Even though they were repeated reminded about fragile boxes(all the boxes were labeled with the contents, "fragile", or "heavy". So heavy boxes would not be put on fragile things)they disregarded the labels and threw heavy labeled boxes on fragile boxes, resulting in broken stemware. After they were less than half way through loading, they soon discovered that out stuff would not fit in the 16 foot box truck after all. Realizing all of stuff would not get to the new house, we asked the movers to at least get the kitchen so we could have plates and stuff to eat with. They left the kitchen behind resulting in us having to load up all of that stuff up in our cars after the movers left for the new house. They had to wait at the new house, as it took us 45 minutes to an hour to load up the essentials that they had forgotten. As we were packing we realized that they had thrown a big moving blanket and a big box out of their truck into our yard. We don't have trash pick up and we are scheduled to be out of our old house next weekend. We have left 5 messages and no one has called us back. The times I have gotten through to speak with Xpress Movers, they have assured us they are sending a truck "right away" to pick up the contents left behind, and it's still sitting in my yard going on three weeks after my move. My husband called right after the movers left (we have been calling through the weeks)and still no resolution.Desired Settlement: As the services promised during the verbal consultation were not provided, stemware was broken (even though the contract says they will replace it, it was non-replaceable as it had sentimental value), and trash was left in yard, I would like a full refund as I do not feel that they fulfilled their end of services promised. First and foremost, I would also like them to remove the trash in my yard, because my husband and I will be penalized next weekend if it is not removed in the next weeks

Review: I recently hired Xpress Movers for a move that took place on June 6, 2014. Prior to booking Xpress Movers, I was assured that for the price of $389, I would receive 100% packing, moving, and insurance. During the booking process, it was explained to me that I would not need to put down a deposit of any sort per my Military affiliation. I did not hear from Xpress Movers again until the date of service and that was only because I called. When I called, the associate on the phone seemed lost and confused as if they were not scheduled to arrive that morning. Nonetheless, I asked if they could come a little later in the afternoon and they agreed. When the movers arrived. They arrived with their truck a little more than a quarter full of items that did not belong to me. When I gave the "leader" the destination, he caught and attitude and remained on the phone for approximately an hour or so, leaving the other mover as well as some of my friends to move the items from our townhome on to the truck. The movers were not careful with the items and did not pack any thing, as promised. Open boxes were thrown around and scratches were created on both the wall and our furniture. My friends were forced to but some of our items on the back of their pickup truck because all of our items did not fit (also as promised). I have tried to contact this company numerous times via email and phone but have had no luck.

Xpress Movers LLC did an outstanding job in our move to Charlottesville, VA. On moving day I woke up nervous because we called Xpress Movers on short notice based on a flyer at a local supermarket. My internet research didn't turn up any reviews so I had no idea what to expect. My worries were soon set aside when Xpress Movers called us to say they were on their way and actually arrived about 15 minutes early. Our move involved pieces of furniture from two different houses and quite a few stairs. Xpress Movers demonstrated expertise by handling all our items with care. At our destination they unloaded everything efficiently. When all was said and done, nothing was broken, and no walls were banged or scuffed in either location. Based on our exceptional experience, I highly recommend Xpress Movers LLC to anyone looking for a trouble free move.
