Was promised one type of safe and fun experience. This was not delivered and the promotion was false with stock photos not from the real event
My husband and I were very excited about attending The Parking Lot Social in Philadelphia, PA (USA) on Friday evening, July 31. The social media and TV media hype were so favorable and it looked like a great night out, especially since we have not been anywhere entertaining in five months because of the pandemic. I shelled out $53.41 for the two of us to attend in our car.
When we arrived, there were several staff at the entrance/exit, a woman who checked us in and gave us our headphones and bingo things. They were all wearing masks and being safe so it looked promising. We drove into the main parking lot area and there were no staff anywhere in that area to direct us where to park so we just pulled up and then cars started parking really close. Despite announcements from the DJ's that people who were out of their cars had to wear masks, no one really did and the staff did not enforce this. People were gathering in large groups to do line dances and crowding against our car and we felt unsafe, because we had the windows open.
We were told that there would be delivery from the food trucks to the cars so we downloaded the Grablr app before we got to the event. When we arrived they announced that people could order on the app but they would have to leave their cars after the order was ready to physically pick it up. Again, we did not feel safe doing that because the large crowds (both adults and lots of young children) were swarming with no masks on. This was a very different experience than what the photos show on your website and on Facebook. After an hour, we left. It was not only not enjoyable, it was a bit frightening. We live in the suburbs and people there are very respectful about distancing and wearing masks. I guess the city people are a little different. In any case, it was not worth $53.41, which is not cheap.
I would like to have my money refunded. I know the paperwork said no refunds but this was just not good business and we feel that you did not deliver the experience that was promised.
I also attempted to contact them via postal mail and on their Facebook messenger but kept getting a robo response that someone would get back to me and no one did. I also posted several comments on their Facebook page which they immediately took down every time because it was not a complement. Shame on them!
I would like a check for $53.41 mailed to me at my home address. I would also like the company to stop using stock photos and use actual photos from the events. I attended an event that was represented on their website and it looked nothing like what they posted as pictures from this event.

This is a form letter response to anyone who contacts this business. It is a robo response from a machine. They did not read my complaint at all and are not directly answering the complaint. The response is a form to anyone and it addresses their upcoming events and schedules. It is not answering or responding to the problem at all. I need a response from a real person not a machine. Indicative of the way they handle customer service. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and they do not take responsibility for anything. Bad business practices.
Thanks for providing us with the opportunity to review and respond to this customer's comments. Unfortunately we disagree with the customer's views that the event was not as advertised and that "false" stock photos were used for advertising. The video and photos used in advertising are from the same event, at a previous venue 3-4 weeks prior to the date the customers attended.

First, they did not address my complaint that cars were too close together, people were not wearing masks and there was no food delivery to cars as advertised. Second, the photos of the same event 3-4 weeks earlier would have been in another city. This company travels around from city to city. I am disputing the event that happened at the Philadelphia Navy Yard on July 31 and it was only 2 weekends in a row. What happened in one state can be a totally different experience than in another state. They had no staff on the ground monitoring the event. And I still want my money back. So they have not addressed my particular claim at the event in Philadelphia and they need to send me back my money.
Purchased tickets to attend "Parking Lot Social" at South Fork Ranch for event on July 4th. We received an email that it was postponed to a later date. Then we got another email saying it was being postponed again for a third date. We want our money back as it appears to be a scam.
