It still shows, Pending Documents. On March 2023, beginning , they sent me an automatic email asking me to upload my documents, since one or more documents are missing. Called in to check which are the documents missing. The service agent wasn't knowing anything about my documents. She said the best she can do is escalate the issue. It's 1.5 weeks now post escalation., Nothing changed.
For past few weeks, I called their customer service office for checking on the status of my file. Even they are unable to give me an information. Told me to wait and has no specific answers.
I filled the contact form and help us form many times, and they reply with some scripted generic details which are not my file specific information.
This is nothing but the bad effects of Monopoly which WES possess.
Amount I paid them seemed to be of NO value for them.
I want the evaluation process to be completed in next few days and sent the report asap.
This company advertises their process to take 7 days once they receive all documents and payment in full. In my case I need a transcript from the USA verified for employment in Canada, and I needed it done before yesterday, March 3. According to my account information WES recieved all necessary documents and payments on February 12. Now, with the website's 7 day claim I should have had more than enough time to recieved my evaluation with time to spare. I have repeatedly contacted them looking for a status update and an expected completion time and they have responded with "it has been forwarded to the correct department, you should get an answer within 5 days". I finally got the first response which simply said, "after review we have determined that we need more time." No estimated timeframe or anything remotely helpful and on top of all of this, according to "customer service," my 7 day waiting period hasn't even started yet.
Finish the job now and give me my money back plus compensation for postponing my career as a *** another minimum of 4 months.

The compensation of not even half of the money I paid doesn't come close to the frustration and disappointment I've endured while dealing with this company, not to mention the fact that this document not being completed in a reasonable fashion has disqualified me from my employment opportunity. *** As for WES: you need to make your website absolutely clear that what is says is misleading and *** and there is no way for people to get their documents in your advertised time of 7 days once everything is recieved.
Dear Mr.,
As a goodwill gesture, we will refund you fully $226. For refund, please monitor your credit card statement.

I paid for the educational transcript services on 11/20/2019. My grade sheets and certificate copies were received by WES on 01/28/2020. Bu till today they haven't yet sent the evaluated copies of my grade sheets and certificates to the University of *** for which I applied.
Today 02/28/2020 I called their office XXX-XXX-XXXX for checking and got message that the phone number is not working.
I sent an email to their email address given on their web page WES.org (@wes.org) and the email bounced as email delivery failed.
Looks like they closed shop or don't want to entertain any complaints from their customers.
Delivery of evaluated copies of my transcripts to the University of *** or refund my money in full, and damages if in case University of *** refuses or cancels my admission to the Graduate certificate course.
Hello,
We have reviewed the concerns submitted by Mr. ***. Please note that additional research of Mr. credentials is required to process the evaluation. We do apologize for this delay. However, the research process is a necessary step for evaluations produced by WES. Once research on Mr. file is concluded, his evaluation will be expedited. We ask that Mr. allow additional time and continue to check his account status online for updates.

I applied to have my degree evaluated by WES Canada, my reference number is XXXXXXX. Some of the required documents, my BSc transcript and certificate, were delivered in a package with tracking number XXXXXXXXXXXX to WES on 16 December 2019. My account shows they have not received these documents. When I called to inquire about it sometimes in January, I was told they received the package but could not link it with my account because it does not have my reference number on it. I was told to send an email explaining the issue and giving my details so the package can be linked to my account. I have sent the email twice and called tens of time since and nothing has been done. It is looking to me like WES lost my package and the story about my package not having a reference number is just a front. This is because their customer representatives can't keep their stories straight. The person I spoke to today, 2nd March, initially assured me they never got my package. It seems every time I call, the case is reopened and the seeming progress I was assured we made is lost. It appears they don't document anything.
I will like my package to be found and evaluation completed in a few days. If they have lost my package, I want to be reimbursed for the cost of getting and sending a new one.
Dear Mr.,
We are in the process of reviewing your file. Please allow us some time and we will correspond with you via e-mail on your WES file.

Dear Case Officer,
After having a word with WES via email dated 23rd September 2019 (mail replied by WES on 30th September); email dated 17th October 2019 (mail replied by WES on 20th October 2019) and email dated 23rd October 2019 (mail replied by WES on 1st November), I am not satisfied with their service or their explanation. (WES inquiry ID: XXXXXXX dated 23 Sept.; 1069777 dated 17th Oct. & 1079133 dated 23rd Oct.)
Nature of complaint: Wrong assessment by WES
I had applied for a WES assessment and I am not satisfied with the equivalency result given by the agency.
What does WES considers to be a Master's Degree?
As per their website(https://www.wes.org/ca/), "Master's degree: A graduate degree taken after the bachelor's degree. It typically includes one to two years of study and a thesis or project."
My Master's of Science in Agricultural Economics is a Master degree in Agriculture which includes a thesis. The thesis titled "Economic Evaluation of Direct Seeding of Rice in Punjab" is duly mentioned on the transcript sent to WES for evaluation.
My questions/query is as follow:
Question 1: How is my Master's in Agriculture degree different from Student A in the above case, where both have attended the same institution?
My Submission:
My credential should be written as "Master of Science (Agriculture)" instead of "Masters of Science" and the Canadian equivalency should be Master's degree (Just like how the other students have got their Master's Degree assessed)
If this isn't possible for WES, then:
a. They should exactly explain why this is not possible? Sending generic replies doesn't really help
b. They should refund me the fees so that I can get my education assessed from other agencies.
Regards
I want either a proper explanation instead of generic replies via email or refund the amount paid to WES.
Dear Mr.,
WES establishes its equivalency for master's degrees earned at an Indian university that require a three-year bachelor's degree for admission on quality indicators related to the underlying bachelor's degree. Master's degrees that build on a three-year bachelor's degree awarded in the First Division by a *** (***) "A" grade are regarded as comparable to a postgraduate diploma (one year). All others are regarded as comparable to a Canadian bachelor's degree.
Best regards,

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The response is absolutely unwarranted, unjustified and is in non-conformity with WES's own definition of a Master's degree.
On their website, the definition of Master's Degree is "A graduate degree taken after the bachelor's degree. It typically includes one to two years of study and a thesis or project."
It is submitted that:
My 2-year Master's Degree in Agriculture (M.Sc. Agricultural Economics) involved a 'Thesis' and the said degree is obtained after a Bachelor's Degree.
Now some Master's Degree taken after a 3-years Bachelor's degree do not have a thesis, hence they are termed as 1-year diploma and that's okay, but my master's degree is again:
"A Master's degree in Agriculture including a thesis. The title of the thesis is mentioned on the transcript sent to WES. The transcript was verified by my institution"
Also, WES shouldn't be judging how a student obtains his/her degree (provided it is legit & verified by the respective institution). WES is an evaluating agency and should stick to evaluating degrees as they are & not how they are built - on a 3-year degree or a 4-year degree.
Furthermore, anyone in WES can check how Agricultural Degrees are given in Canada. All the degrees are M.Sc. in Agricultural (Specialisation). Also, M.Sc. (Thesis) in ***, Canada (***) & the admission requirement is as follows:
"M.Sc. Thesis (Agricultural Economics)
Direct admission to the M.Sc. requires the completion of a B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics or a closely related area, with the minimum equivalent cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0/4.0 (second class-upper division) or minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.2/4.0 during the last two years of full-time university study. High grades are expected in courses considered by the academic unit to be preparatory to the graduate program.
The ideal preparation includes courses in agricultural economics, economic theory (intermediate micro and macro), calculus, linear algebra, and statistics. Students with deficiencies in these areas will be required to take additional courses as part of their degree program."
The keywords in the above case are "Direct admission to the M.Sc. requires the completion of a B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics or a closely related area." A closely related in India is BA Economics or B.Sc. Economics and could as well be in Canada too.
Agreed, WES is an expert and a leading institution for evaluating degrees but here unfortunately, they are clearly in the dark.
If WES can't evaluate my Master's degree as a Master's degree they should refund my money because the other evaluating agencies are less fussy and less stuck-up about their own policies.
Dear Mr.,
World Education Services (WES) has responded to your query on October 3, 2019, November 1, 2019 and December 9, 2019.
We reviewed your report and confirmed it is correct. We would like to emphasize that WES evaluations are advisory opinions and not binding upon any institution or organization.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
WES in their response to me dated December 13th 2019 have stated that "Master's degrees that build on a three-year bachelor's Degree awarded in the First Division by a *** (***) "A" grade are regarded as comparable to a postgraduate diploma (one year)."
Now in their report:
1. My Bachelor of Science (3-year Degree) has a Canadian Equivalency of Bachelor's Degree 4 year. Which means a three-year Indian Degree, attained in 1st Division, equals a Canadian Bachelors Degree of 4 year. (I get an extra year here).
2. Now, since my Bachelor's Degree is of 4 years equivalency as per Canadian standards, how can be a Master's Degree equivalent to PG Diploma-1 Year, as it stands to be built on a Bachelor's Degree which is equivalent to 4 years as per Canadian standard.
WES in the past has given Master's Degree equivalency to students having done 3 years Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree. Kindly refer to Reference #: ***.
Finally, I would like a refund if WES can't give me a Master's Degree equivalency because as per their definition, "A graduate degree taken after the bachelor's degree. It typically includes one to two years of study and a thesis or project."
The above statement (at their website) suffices for me getting a Master's Degree equivalency.
If they can't do it, please refund me the amount.
Thanks.
I'll keep my review short and factual. I submitted my application in June this year, personally checked my envelopes from institutions to ensure its correctly sealed and SIGNED on the back as per WES guidelines. I have to date sent 7 follow ups. My first feedback advised document was not signed (INCORRECT), I queried this and asked for proof, in early October I received a response from Angela R advising I will have my report on the 24th of October. I followed up 3 times since then and my queries are just ignored. *** I would not trust my money with this institution as they take your money and don't drive any form of customer service.
I am writing this as a grievance towards my WES application XXXXXXX. I am really disappointed and frustrated with whats happening. As per the tracking, the marks lists and degree certificate from the institution (university) for both my application and my spouse application XXXXXXX were sent by the university to your office on the same date and through the same courier partner ***. Both were delivered at your office on the same date and received by the very same person "***". I am adding that both of our institution (university) is also the same. Her application was good and accepted and evaluation has been completed without any secondary verification or any issue at all. Mine is kept on hold and waiting for secondary verification from the institution. We contacted the institution to either reply to the email or mail sent by you, and they are not cooperating at all. We tried contacting them numerous times and they are being *** to us always. I cant understand whats wrong with mine. This is some kind of disparity and I am really frustrated by this. Our immigration with IRCC is pending because of this reason, and I can't wait any longer. Please please help me out
Complete my credential evaluation. There's nothing wrong with the documents you have received from the university
Dear Mr. Your file has been completed today and will be sent out to you via regular mail. IRCC has already received your WES report electronically.Best regards,WES Client Relations Department
Hi there!
I am writing this email against the inconsistency followed in the evaluation of the documents which has made the WES report dubious for the licensing agency. I recently requested WES, Canada to send a copy of my evaluation report to a licensing agency. All the mark sheets/ statements of marks and transcripts bear the WES stamp "Received Directly from Institution", however, the degree scrolls for Master of Arts, Bachelor o1f Education and Master of Education bear the WES stamp stating "verified". Only the Bachelor of Arts degree scroll has the stamp "Received Directly from Institution". Now the licensing agency is asking to present the degree scrolls for Master of Arts, Bachelor of Education and Master of Education sent to them. They have accepted Bachelor of Arts degree scroll which bears "Received Directly from Institution" stamp. I personally contacted the licensing agency several times and told them that the documents were directly sent to WES, Canada. I was told that the documents which do not bear the stamp of "Received Directly from Institution" need to be sent again to the agency. The purpose of sending the documents to WES and spending extra for international credential advantage package (ICAP) is precisely to avoid such circumstances where one has to arrange for the documents directly from the institution in each and every case where an agency demands such documents. On March 1st I contacted WES, Canada from my account on their website and asked them to put the seal "Received Directly from the Institution" on the degree scrolls of Master of Arts, Bachelor of Education and Master of Education. On March 6th I received a reply from the Director of Evaluations, WES stating that there was no error in the report therefore no changes will be made. Further it was stated that the WES report is advisory and not binding upon the institution. The WES has a tendency of mechanical generic replies. Even the replies from their representatives' tend to look like auto-generated, generic and inhuman that they grossly overlook the matter or issue raised by the applicant and completely misses the concern raised by the applicant. First of all, I did not say that there was an error in the report, neither did I question the equivalency. The report is a separate matter and the documents that were sent from the universities and how WES treated those documents are a separate matter. I pointed out the inconsistency in the way that the WES has treated those documents and which has led the licensing agency to question and invalidate some of the documents. I precisely ask WES to bring uniformity in the way they have treated my documents. The majority of the documents bear the stamp "Received directly from institution" and these documents were acceptable to the licensing agency. However, the licensing agency asked for the documents which did not bear the same stamp and instead bore the stamp of "verified". For WES it is just a matter of putting a proper stamp and to make the job easy for the applicant. On the other hand, not doing so makes the candidate involve in the long hard labor of getting those documents sent from the universities.
All my documents, including the copies of the degree scrolls, were directly sent by the issuing institutions to WES, Canada. Some of the documents must have come in the same envelope as they were part of the same application at the university. The documents received in the same manner have been treated differently inconsistently. The Bachelor of Arts mark sheet and degree scroll have the same WES stamp "received directly from institution" and they both have been accepted without a question by the licensing body.
Please put the seal, "Received Directly from Institution" on the degree scrolls of Master of Arts, Bachelor of Education and Master of Education it will save my labor in future.
Regards

Dear Mr. We have reviewed and updated the stamps on your educational documents. The licensing body can now view the updated documents on their Access-Wes portal. Please get in touch with the licensing body directly.Best regardsWES Client Relations Department
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)Thanks Revdex.com for taking up the case with WES and leading it to the satisfactory resolution. Thanks WES for reviewing the evaluation of my documents and sending them again to the licensing agency. I hope this time the agency accepts the sent documents. Please pay heed to the concern raised by the applicant and try to address it individually as a generic reply cannot cater to the specific need. This can help build the credibility of WES as a customer-centric organization.
