We fixed the hinges and he was powered up on the deck. I shut it down when he came to pick it up, as we always do. A few days later he called and said his unit wasn’t powering on. He brought it up here and it looked as if it was powering on, but then wouldn’t, which normally means
it was dropped or damaged. This could not happen with anything with the hinges. I tried everything to try to figure out the problem. He just wanted a free repair job for whatever kind of damage happened. We refunded everything besides the amount for the parts which cannot be used after it has already been in his laptop. We refunded the $for labor to him, and just charged him for the plastic parts and hinges. He needed a new motherboard for his laptop, which we couldn’t provide for him, as it was approximately $500. He signed off on the refund he received, and was happy
