Woodward Excavating is the entity that dug the hole in my my back yard and caused the damage to my property with their equipment and by placing the dirt from the dig in my yard as opposed to in the easement as directed by their customer. The tracks from their Back hoe caused damage in several places in my yard. This damage could have been avoided with proper protection to my yard prior to the dig. While [redacted] was involved with having to increase the size of the hole to fix damaged electrical lines, the lines were cut by Woodward Excavation. Since the lines were marked prior to the dig but had faded and were not clearly visible to Woodward Excavation, they should have called and had them re-marked PRIOR to digging. Since Woodward Excavation was hired to do the work, they should be responsible for restoring my yard to its original state. This should include proper grade and repair of grass areas damaged as a result of their work. Since it is November, and grass will probably not germinate until spring. I am requesting that Woodward Excavation take accountability for this project and give me written assurance that they will return in the spring to correct any damage to my yard or provide a landscape service to complete the necessary work.
This is our written assurance that we will return in the spring to correct any damage to the yard.
