Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me The consumer indicated that the hotel raised the price after grandmother already paid for the week, then wouldn't let the consumer back into the roomThe consumer states the company refunded two nights Regards, [redacted] ***
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, James Duganitz Our response is as follows: Wood Springs (the staff member at the front desk the morning of 9/4/17) claimed that they had tried to call us regarding their concerns and plans to clear our room We had no history of calls or voicemails on our phones If we were not in our room, why would they not call our personal cell phones as they had done in the past? They have our numbersTherefore, they did not make a reasonable attempt to call us at all As far as their opinion of amount and value of our personal belongings that were left in the room, that is exactly what it is....a subjective/personal opinionFor example, when you have to run out to purchase a brand new pair of men's dress shoes because yours was thrown in a dumpster, that becomes personally significant to the owner of the shoes The medication in the refrigerator included a bag of small viles of medication in powder form which is reconstitured using sterile technique by a home care nurse for IV administration Their opinion that the medication was not significant in amount is very offensive to the person who is in need of that medication regularly; to the patient the medication amount is "very significant" to the health care needs We were in the process of moving into a new home which did not have a refrigerator yet because we were waiting upon delivery That is the reason we felt the medication was safe in the refrigerator in the room since we had a receipt that stated we were paid "through" 9/4/and the next payment due date was 9/5/if we wanted to continue our stay Furthermore, this receipt was what was given to us previously when we paid and we had filed in our personal records, it was not given to us the morning of 9/4/in which Woodsprings claimed our 'through date' was 9/2/ We are not surprised that staff would not mention anything of the refrigerated meds as they already had the opinion of our personal things being insignificant in nature Woodsprings claimed we showed up "mid afternoon" on 9/4/ In actuality, it was the morning of 9/4/about 10am We had our refrigerator delivered to our new home and knew we had through 9/4/to make a final clean out of our room and safely transfer the medication to our new refrigerator for infusion treatment the next day We brought boxes with us and planned to use the coolers that were left in the room for the medication and contents of the refrigerator Our room key cards let us in with no problem We were not "locked out of our room" as Woodsprings claimed Woodsprings claimed we had not gone to our room for days......we were fully aware of our contract and what date we had paid through while we were in the process of moving our things out of the room; I feel that is our own personal business regarding how many times we were in and out of our room during moving We paid for the room Why would we in our right minds leave valuable and needed medication in the refrigerator and just walk away......really? When we arrived and entered our room using our room keys with no problem, we were shocked that everything was taken away with absolutely no regard in calling us with any concerns whatsoever Woodsprings assumed we had left all of our things and never to return The lady at the front desk showed no feeling or remorse in clearly stating to us that she had tried to call us with no success (which was untrue) and just threw all of our things in the dumpster Very unprofessional Therefore, for reasons stated above, we do not feel that Woodsprings is showing a reasonable attempt to resolve this
The company responded via phone as follows: The company indicated that it was the son of the complainant who actually stayed at the hotel, not the complainantThe company states the son only stayed one night and indicated that the son was ejected for nonpaymentThe company stated that no one at the hotel stole any money from the room or the complainant
Ms [redacted] was charged a no show fee for not checking in on her expected date Our cancellation policy is that a guest has up to 3:p.m on day of arrival to cancel with no penalty We never received a call from Ms [redacted] cancelling her reservationThis room was booked through expedia which has a different policy than ours (cancel within hours of stay) When Ms [redacted] did not arrive she was charged for night plus tax as a no show fee, which is hotel policy
Guest arrives on 6-10-and paid for one day block...good until 7-8-17then paid again 7-8-on to extend them another day block good until 8-5-17then they paid again for an additional day block that carried them forward to 9-2-17on the morning of 9-we called room and knockedroom
was mostly empty but had some stuff in it...in particular an old cooler, a few pairs of flip flops...a few shirts hanging on the rack ( like 3) and nothing much elseguest claims where were significant amounts of medication in fridge but no one on staff ever reported anything like that..we would have kept it for a few dayswe locked the room out...in other words..we made it so no one could enter room and guest would have come to office to check out or to pay etc...it sat that way for days....on the 3rd day we cleaned out the room and made it available for saleguest signed an occupancy agreement stating that anything left in the room is considered abandoned..we waited for over hours before we made any moves....guest apparantly showed up in the mid afternoon on the third day ( so we would have cleaned out room and sold it on that day as well)guest then made outrageous complaints about the items that were supposedly left in the room...he concedes that he had been moving his stuff out..prior to the lock outI feel we gave the gentleman more than adequate time to come back to hotel and get what was left...I cannot stress enough how little value what was leftIt is not unusual for long term guests to leave lots of things they dont want to moveguest clearly had not been to hotel for DAYS as he never came to office while he was locked outwe see no reason at all to make any financial adjustments to his room...if anything we feel we are owed for not being able to sell our room for days....guest made a claim ( I was paid thru the 5th)but that claim is based on a reciept he got on the 5th.....which always shows the due date on past due rooms as the current date....this was days after he had been due before he made contactwe refute the claim that there was anything of any real value left in the room....we do and have held onto items of value for guests ( because they always call back for them)....and once again, no mention of any refrigerated meds...which I must repeat..the room was locked out for DAYS....can thave been anything vital in thereso we feel there is not only nothing owed....we feel he owes usBob K***GM Mentor

Our response is as follows: Wood Springs (the staff member at the front desk the morning of 9/4/17) claimed that they had tried to call us regarding their concerns and plans to clear our room. We had no history of calls or voicemails on our phones. If we were not in our room, why would they not call our personal cell phones as they had done in the past? They have our numbers. Therefore, they did not make a reasonable attempt to call us at all. As far as their opinion of amount and value of our personal belongings that were left in the room, that is exactly what it is....a subjective/personal opinion. For example, when you have to run out to purchase a brand new pair of men's dress shoes because yours was thrown in a dumpster, that becomes personally significant to the owner of the shoes. The medication in the refrigerator included a bag of 9 small viles of medication in powder form which is reconstitured using sterile technique by a home care nurse for IV administration. Their opinion that the medication was not significant in amount is very offensive to the person who is in need of that medication regularly; to the patient the medication amount is "very significant" to the health care needs. We were in the process of moving into a new home which did not have a refrigerator yet because we were waiting upon delivery. That is the reason we felt the medication was safe in the refrigerator in the room since we had a receipt that stated we were paid "through" 9/4/17 and the next payment due date was 9/5/17 if we wanted to continue our stay. Furthermore, this receipt was what was given to us previously when we paid and we had filed in our personal records, it was not given to us the morning of 9/4/17 in which Woodsprings claimed our 'through date' was 9/2/17. We are not surprised that staff would not mention anything of the refrigerated meds as they already had the opinion of our personal things being insignificant in nature. Woodsprings claimed we showed up "mid afternoon" on 9/4/17. In actuality, it was the morning of 9/4/17 about 10am. We had our refrigerator delivered to our new home and knew we had through 9/4/17 to make a final clean out of our room and safely transfer the medication to our new refrigerator for infusion treatment the next day. We brought boxes with us and planned to use the coolers that were left in the room for the medication and contents of the refrigerator. Our room key cards let us in with no problem. We were not "locked out of our room" as Woodsprings claimed. Woodsprings claimed we had not gone to our room for days......we were fully aware of our contract and what date we had paid through while we were in the process of moving our things out of the room; I feel that is our own personal business regarding how many times we were in and out of our room during moving. We paid for the room. Why would we in our right minds leave valuable and needed medication in the refrigerator and just walk away......really? When we arrived and entered our room using our room keys with no problem, we were shocked that everything was taken away with absolutely no regard in calling us with any concerns whatsoever. Woodsprings assumed we had left all of our things and never to return. The lady at the front desk showed no feeling or remorse in clearly stating to us that she had tried to call us with no success (which was untrue) and just threw all of our things in the dumpster. Very unprofessional. Therefore, for reasons stated above, we do not feel that Woodsprings is showing a reasonable attempt to resolve this.
