Review: I scheduled a Baptism reception at Woodside Lodge on Nov. 2nd for 35 people at 11:00am. On Nov 2nd I arrived at the restaurant and was told the restaurant lost power at 9am and they did not have power, running water, working bathrooms, emergency lighting in the bathrooms and no heat in the building. This was a cold 40 degrees day with high winds I asked the owner why I was not notified of the situation and she stated she did not want to interrupt us in church. We were available at all times. I was told the food had been cooked before 9 that morning.I asked how my guest were going to use the bathroom and wash their hands and in front of 35 people ranging in age from 5 months to 85 years, the owner announced to my guests Just dont pee on your hands and you wont need to wash them The cook was walking in and out of the kitchen with a miners light strapped to his head.In addition to no heat, water, bathroom facilities and lighting the waitress stated that the restaurant would not be able to provide ice tea, soda and dessert that were included in my total cost. My guests were served food that was cooked 3 hours before without being refrigerated or kept warm in an oven. We had to wait 15 minute for 1 cup of tea and coffee and when served it was luke warm at best. A guest reported the incident to the Board of Health in PA, they stated that the restaurant was in volition of PA state laws and were legally required to shut down their business and not server guest as they could have caused food borne illness and jeopardized the safety of the guest without proper lighting. They are also required to have bathroom facilities and running water for their employee. After 1 hours, the owner came into the room where my guest were eating cake (that I brought with me) and announced he finally put water into the toilet tanks so that we can flush once.I paid the owners in full and as compensation they gave us a gift certificate for 4, we are not interested in returning to this restaurant.Desired Settlement: Refund
