The customer did drop his deer heads off in November of He stated that he was not in any hurry to receive the completed mounts back One of the deer heads had some freezer burn when he dropped it off and we discussed that at the timeFreezer burn is caused when the carcasses are not covered well when placed in the freezer The customer even asked when he picked up the completed deer mounts if I was able to save his hide Once the customer started calling, I completed his deer mounts and he had no complaints about the work I have had several family issues since 2008; that I felt no need to discuss family matters with the customer My son had major back surgery, my wife was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and my mother was diagnosed with cancer I work a full time job and had to take her to her appointments and treatments She passed last May from her cancer There was no set date to have the deer mounts completed at the time of the drop off I am a part time taxidermist My prices are already below the average price of a full time taxidermistThe average price for a shoulder mount deer head in was $ I made a good faith effort and reduced the price by percent and the customer insisted that one of the mounts should be freeThe customer did receive his mounts They were completed with time, attention and the quality of my workmanship was not a complaint made by the customer If it were, then I would be more than happy to make things right The issues I dealt with regarding my family was beyond my control
