Complaint[redacted]We purchased a new home from Woodride Homes from Martensville in 2010. After the first winter we could not get the exterior doors to open or close. The garage grade beam and slab is crumbling away to the point of the structural integrity is at risk. We contacted [redacted] on a regular basis and he kept making excuses, such as the sub trades didn't do their job properly etc. etc. We got him over to look at it a few times and he said it has to be repaired, it is real bad he has never saw concrete deteriorate like this. I asked him if it froze when he poured it, but he denied that this would happen. I had 2 concrete contractors look at it and they both said it looks like it froze when it was poured. The concrete contractors both gave me quotes to repair the concrete, 1 is $19530.00 and the second is $18100.00. Now here we are are 5 years later and nothing has happened. I talked to him this summer (2015) and he is still making ecuses. We finally got in contact with the door and window company direct and they are fixing the exterior doors. Desired SettlementAll we want is to have the concrete repaired so it does not deteriorate any further.
Complaint[redacted]We purchased our brand new home in January 2014. At the time we did a walk through with our realtor and the builders realtor and noted deficiencies in the home that we wanted fixed. The builders realtor wrote everything down on the warranty form and the Builder signed the form agreeing to fix the deficiencies. He has been extremely slow fixing things and we were rarely able to get a reply or response from him. It has been 18 months since we bought the house. One of the deficiencies we noted at move in 18 months ago was hardwood floor boards on the main floor are lifting/delaminating.The builder is now refusing to fix this deficiency.Since he has signed our agreement at move-in to fix this major deficiency this would be a breach of obligations under the contract that we agreed when we purchased this home from him.[redacted] Desired SettlementWe would like the builder to take responsibility for the contract he signed at move in and get the deficiency agreed upon dealt with.
